How is that sensible? That's just down right foolish. Not to mention, he is in many ways exactly like his father. North Korea is so oppressive that if anything he'd probably just kill his political opponents as long as their within his borders. Reforming North Korea in what way?

 

He has made economic reforms and he has allowed north koreans greater freedom of information and travel, it's actually possible to travel out of north korea legally but you have to get permission from the government.It's a lot easier for north koreans to access foreign content and buy all sorts of cell phones.

 

The US is being unreasonable with the sanctions and it's prolonging lingering problems from his father's era, calling for north korea disarmament is plain unreasonable.The sanctions should be completely dropped so north korea could abolish it's communist economy.

Looks like the apple, didn't fall to far from the tree. Too bad the tree only had one apple... Every picture i see of Kim john Uno, i see his little sidekicks following him around. Mr Uno's brains have been turned to mush from his early childhood with his papa.

Why do you think they threaten to test the weapons on the US? it's because of all the sanctions the US placed on them that's causing mass starvation and political/economic stagnation which the US claim it did due to weapons of mass destruction.

 

I think he's doing what any real leader would do instead of letting his people be enslaved by foreign powers.

He grew up in switzerland actually so he was never indoctrinated in north korean ideology as a child and he watched american cartoons growing up as well as liberal european programing.

If North Korea had any self-sustainability the sanctions wouldn't matter. Kim Jong Un fails to succeed, we're not stopping him. He imports all these fancy electronics but not food to feed his own people. The sanctions were placed on North Korea BECAUSE it has SELF-DECLARED that it's our arch-enemy.
