Ok, Roleplay #2 :3 *takes deep breath* Ok, lets see if you guys like this one;

 

So this is about ponies and zodiacs, I know some people have done similar things with ponies being associated with zodiacs, but I tried to put a bit of a unique spin on it, instead of having the sign as their cutie marks, they have a mark on thier foreheads that appears soon after they turn 14 (whatever that is in pony years xD). If this mark shows up they are called "Chosen."  Chosen only appear once every 12000 years, and the roleplay takes place during the twelveth Chosen cycle. The Chosen are then sent/guided to a special temple, where they are greeted by the spirits of the first Chosen, the Ancestors. The Ancestors were the first and only full set of Chosen to have completed The Quest. The Quest is a long and trying journey Chosen must make to become alicorns, and bring peace to  Equestria. While it is posible to complete The Quest if you are not Chosen, you will not be guided by the Ancestors, and if the Ancestors don't like you they may even kill you. Celestia and Luna are examples of non-Chosens who completed The Quest. Also, contrary to popular belief, alicorns are NOT immortal, and they are NOT gods, they are more of extremely long lived demi-gods with tons of power.

Also, one last thing, just to shake it up a bit more, I have added elements! *WOOTWOOT* They are the original 6, (- magic) plus 7 more, that were originally hidden by Celestia or something I don't know. (by the way, the roleplay is set way after all of the canon characters have died off)

 

Ok, so that is the lore of the roleplay, now that we've got that over with, and your attention (hopefully) grabbed, lets get to the roleplay rules, requirements, starting stuff, ect..

 

RuLeS:

1. NO GOD MODDING!

2. If something is magic proof, it. is. Magic Proof! e-o

3. Keep cussing to a minimum, it really ticks me off when every other word is 'fuck' -.-

4. Try to keep romance in check, yes, romance is ok, but no sex, any sort of lemon, don't Just write about it, ect..

5. Ok, so to sum up rules 3 and 4 and to close loop holes, let me just say clearly, KEEP IT PG, Pg-13 at the highest!!

6. No, your character cant be a Mary-Sue, yes I will kick you/not even accept you if your character is obnoxiously Mary-Sue.

7. I will not hold places for you longer than three days, that is plenty of time to scrape together a decent character!

8. *Warning Cliche* Have FUN!! :3 I don't make these rules to suppress your creativity or screw up your fun, I just don't want the roleplay to get out of hand! If you don't like my rules, then this isn't the roleplay for you!

This is actually a fairly interesting idea; I like the idea of adding different elements rather than regurgitating the EoH like many other RP's do.

Solely because she's my most used and fleshed out character, I think I'm going to throw Raindancer into this. She's kinda kooky and a complete creep, so it's always fun to have her in among the nice ponies people normally make. *laughs*

Ah!! Good questions!!

1. The Chosen are selected to (hopefully) rule over Equestria; barely any ponies live to see more than one Selection, but they have passed down grand stories through the years, all telling of the grand journeys of past Chosen. Most ponies would love to be a Chosen, due to their ability to become alicorns, and many parents want their kids to be a Chosen, so they came up with a ceremony that 'helps the Choosing process' suposedly speeding up the process. If you are Chosen, you are treated like royalty for a few weeks, before being sent to the temple and then The Quest, ect...

2. It is important, because between times of Chosen tend to be times of chaos and dissarray in Equestria, making Chosen welcome almost always, (Although there have been times Chosen were killed due to their marks, but they stopped doing that). Without the peaceful/chaotic time period switches, Equestira would fall into permanent chaos, dooming ponies to extinction.

3. The duty for a Chosen at first is to get to the temple and try to complete The Quest, but afterwards (if they live..) they have the same duties as any other ruler.

My curiosity and interest have been piqued by this idea and I would like to give it a try. Before I apply though, I was wondering what the element of Consideration would be. Would that be like empathy and such? Also, could I use my character Maxim and just lower his age, or would an original character be more appropriate?

One thing though, I forgot to mention this, but since the Chosen get chosen at age 14, all of the ponies have to be 14, sorry I forgot to say that ^^; And yes, the element of Consideration is pretty much the element of Empathy, in fact I may change it to the element of empathy, I just wasn't quite sure yet :3

Alright, for the purposes of this RP Emerald is a descendant of Rarity, not her son. I would prefer that he's still the son of my other OC, Rambler, though.

The marks appear just like a cutie mark does

And tge ceremony is pretty simple, each town constructs a decorative stage, and put the 14 year old ponies on it for up to 10 hours until all 12 marks have been confirmed to have appeared.

@Alex: Sure! I don mind if hes the son of another OC, I just thought it doesn't make sense if he is the son of someone who died about 144,000 years ago xD

It says in the OP that the zodiac marks appear on their forehead. The cutie mark isn't affected by it.

 

Of course, I could be wrong, that's just my interpretation.

About your question, the marks appear on their foreheads, and act like cutie marks, Chosen still keep their cutie marks :3
