OOC Topic Roleplay ahead, also note that we still need more teachers

 

For the beginning of the RP:

 

The moon rose over the horizon, almost pushing the sun away. Most ponies in Equestria would be safe in there homes, and ready to go to bed soon. However, a certain place in Canterlot had different ideas.

 

The school, a majestic, almost castle-like building, stood proudly in it's place in Canterlot. It was fairly new, and Princess Luna was excited to finally have her very own school.

 

In the courtyard was a large statue of the night princess herself, with a full moon on her horn-tip. She gazed up at the sphere, intent on her work. Of course, the real Princess Luna was probably making her way to the school, as she slept during the day at the castle.

 

Inside the school was a large, shiny marble floor. Above that hangs a beautiful, black chandelier. If you kept going, there were stairs on either side of the room, which rose to a higher platform, each hallway opposite of eachother leading to classrooms. Under the stairs, between them was the doors to the dining hall. Then the stairs rose again on the platform, leading to some dorms. Each year had their own dorm, with a certain room for fillies and colts. 5th years resided in a tower located to the west wing on the first floor, the 4th years in the same hallway, but on the ground floor. The other years were upstairs. Princess Luna's study was in a tower above the 3rd floor, accessible by casting a simply spell on a portrait of her in the east wing.

 

In the east wing was many empty rooms, usually held for student's magic practice, but were for mainly storage. At the end was the door to the school grounds, where the gardens were. To the right inside the hall is the library, filled to the brim with books.

 

Princess Luna gazed down at her beautiful building as she landed in the courtyard, and for the first time ever, unlocked the gates for the students. She giggled in glee at the thought of the students rushing in, then flew off to her personal office on the very top floor.

Red Dawn looks over at the magnificent Princess Luna's School for Nocturnal Unicorns.

Red Dawn walks out from the courtyard, and heads straight into the school's interior.

'' I think I'm going to like it here.''

Red Dawn walks over to the library, to pick up her books.

She picks up the books, and walks out of the library.

'' Got the books, right on time.''

Harmonic walks into his brand new classroom. 

 

"Fancy." He thinks to himself, letting a smile form on his face. He walks over to the board, and levitates the chalk to write on the board. He stops to think for a moment what he is going to write. He goes for the old and original, and starts to scribble on both an introduction for himself as well as what he'd be talking about that day.

 

He writes

"My name is Harmonic Revelations, I will be instructing you in the proper use of Unicorn magic,

 

 

               Today I will be discussing dream manipulating spells, as well as proper ways to protect yourself from such spells. "

 

He thinks that is satisfactory until he actually starts his lecture. He sits down on the chair behind the desk, and looks up, waiting for the students to arrive.

Midnight slowly walked into the room, his dark blue mane was sightly unkept , he went to the back of the class room becasue he was no pony special. He sat down in his seat and pulled out his binder which had Star swirl on it, he looked up to Star swirl like a hero. But sadly Midnight was unable to do a simple basic spell which he has yet to master.

Adlais was shaking as she approached the school in her carriage. It was beautiful and majestic, but frightening all the same. After getting her notice for her enrollment, she had been overjoyed (Adlais was "an egghead" and the idea that she was coming to a school like this nearly made her faint), but now all she felt was the coiling of nervousness in her stomach. Though she had always preferred night to day ever since her parents accident and the disappearance of her older sister, the Night Princess was apparently terrifying to behold, even with her "reformation".

 

The carriage stopped and creaked to a halt and her nanny, Rhys, smiled. Rhys had taken care of Adlais since she was six and her older sister had (evidently) murdered her parents, and she was extrememly proud to hear her ward had gotten into (in her words) "a fancy ol' insta-toot-tun" (years of Canterlot living hadn't taken away Rhys' bad grammar or country twang).

 

"Well, we be here," she said cheerfully, half shoving the shocked Adlais out the door. "Now ya lissen here, sweeite paie-ya got yo' potoin mixin' class faist, and I wantcha to show that teacher what talent ya got, hear? You show every one a dem fancy-pants namby-pambies."

 

Adlais just nodded; she had been surprised classes started so soon, but potion-making was her favourite class, and she look forwards to it. She hugged her nanny, breathing in her odd scent, and said "I'll be fine, Auntie Rhys. Don't worry about me. I'll make sure I "show them what talent I got."

 

Rhys smiled and patted her back. "Naw thas whatta like to hear. You git on now, don'tchu be late on ya first day."

 

With a final wave and a promise to write, Adlais quickly trotted through the front doors with her luggage and gasped at the beauty that surrounded her.

 

"Oh my," she whispered.

Starbright yawned as she made her way to the school. Despite her late night preparations, she had not gotten used to becoming nocturnal. As she entered the courtyard, she sighed, looking up at the grand building. "Here goes nothing." She muttered, making her way into the entrance. Adjusting her saddlebag, she picked her books up at the library, and began the trek up the stairs to where she was told the dorms were. Throwing everything on to her bed, she sloppily fixed everything in a semi-organized state. "Close enough." She told herself, and looked at the clock on the wall. Classes were about to start.

 

Lucky Splash hummed a tune as he set up his classroom. Each chair was organized, row by row, and his desk was nice and neat. The chalkboard displayed doodles of different potion ingredients, as well as descriptions of them. By his chart on his desk, he had the Grade 4s first.

Red Dawn heads over to the Unicorn Magic classroom.

She takes a look inside the classroom, wondering if this school is her destiny.

She takes a look at the teacher.

'' Hello there, Mr. Harmonic Revelations.''

 

She walks over to her seat. She sits down in her seat.

She takes out her books for the class.

Wish trotted in thru the school gates wondering just what this school would be like. Her black and white mane was somewhat messy; the unicorn used her magic to put it right as she made her way to the classroom for her first class. Wish didn't think she'd have any problems with the school; she was a night owl by habit anyway and much prefered to sleep in the day and roam about at night. As soon as her mane was right, Wish put her comb away and checked her saddlebags to make sure she had all her books. Once she was sure everything was there, she trotted to the classroom.

Adlais shook her head and booked it for her class, not wanting to be late. She wasn't sure how many others were in her grade, since it seemed to be a fairly exclusive school, but she wanted to make a good impression on her teachers on her first day.

 

Eventually she managed to find her class and pushed open the door quietly, gawking at all the materials laid out before her. It was a sight for her eyes; while other ponies saw a bunch of plants, she saw endless opportunity  Not realizing that the teacher was in the room, she began to examine everything. crowing in delight. This was Adlais' natural habitat, and her true home, the one place where she could show off and not be afraid.

 

She noticed there were drawings on the board and examined them; they were basic, and she felt a little deflated, having hoped they would jump into new things right away, not this sort of thing.

 

Suddenly she saw Lucky Splash and mad a small choked noise, embarrassed. 

 

"Oh! You must be...Mr. Splash," she said. "I'm Adlais, one of your students. Uhm, obviously." She tittered awkwardly, hoping he hadn't heard her gawking and gasping over all the new materials.

Red Dawn heads over to the Unicorn Magic classroom.

She takes a look inside the classroom, wondering if this school is her destiny.

She takes a look at the teacher.

'' Hello there, Mr. Harmonic Revelations.''

 

She walks over to her seat. She sits down in her seat.

She takes out her books for the class.

"Why hello, and welcome to my class." Harmonic says, barely shifting his view at all as he replies to the student that entered his class.

 

"I have quite the interesting lecture planned out for today, as well as a demonstration. Since you were first to be in class, would you like to assist me in the demonstration during class?"

She looks at the teacher in astonishment.

'' Well I am new here, so I guess I could assist you in the demonstration during class.''

Looking out the door of the classroom, for more students.

'' Do you want me to introduce myself, when the students arrive?''

''  I don't mind at all.''

"That would be most beneficial. I was planning on having all my students introduce themselves to each other. After all, this course has several points where you'll have to work together in demonstrating more powerful spells. I never asked you this properly, my apologies. What is your name?" He asks.

Lucky Splash grinned at the unicorn, chuckling to himself silently at her curiousity. "Hello Adlais, I am Lucky Splash. Your teacher. Welcome to Potion-Making."

 

Starbright lifted her saddlebag back on, and loaded her Spells books into the pockets. "Let's do this." She smirked, and trotted off at a brisk pace towards Spells class. Entering the classroom, she looked around. On the board was the introduction to the teacher, Harmonic Revelations. Sitting down, she brought out her books.

Lucky Splash grinned at the unicorn, chuckling to himself silently at her curiousity. "Hello Adlais, I am Lucky Splash. Your teacher. Welcome to Potion-Making."

Harmonic looks towards the door as a pony enters. 

 

"Hello, and welcome to my class. You are right on time, normally, I'd be happy about that, but it more over implies the rest of my pupils are late." He says.

 

"I suppose I can start the lecture then. I will be lecturing on material that is not in the book first.. Dream manipulation was used in times long past to bring many things, it was used to cure anxiety and depression, and even used to change the beliefs of ponies. Does anypony here know who conjured the first dream manipulating spell?" He asks.

Red Dawn points her horn at the board, the board starts to move up from the wall.

The board starts to dance on the wall.

She puts the board back into place.

'' Here is a little sneak peak of what I can do.''

Red Dawn points her horn at the board, the board starts to move up from the wall.

The board starts to dance on the wall.

She puts the board back into place.

"Very impressive, miss Red Dawn. I can already tell you will do well in this class." Harmonic said.

 

"Now, where was I? Yes, Clover the Clever created the first dream manipulation spell when he defected from aiding Princess Celestia and started to assist Princess Luna. His first spell was very simple, it allowed to unicorn using the spell to simply change the emotion the dream the sleeping unicorn was portraying."

Starlight walked down the magnificent courtyard.  She looked up towards a castle-like building in the distance.   The size of the building in itself was enough to frighten Starlight, but she pushed on.  

 

"I don't want to embarrass myself on the first day!" she thought.  

 

After a short walk, Starlight was ready to enter the school.   Stepping inside and laying hoof on the marble floor.  

 

 "Wow, this looks magnificent!" 

 

She stood in the center of the building, in awe of her surroundings.  Shortly after, she snapped back to reality.  

 

"Oh boy, which class do I have first.  I don't want to be late on the first day!" 

 

She grabbed her schedule out of her sack.   She saw that she had Potion Making first thing in the morning.  Starlight galloped off to her class, anxious to see how things would turn out.

Midnight looked around that was around him he was amazed by what he was seeing , but he was quickly snapped out of his gaze as he  started to look for his class room that he is suppose to be in. Midnight  sighed and looked at his binder."What i am to do"? he looked around nervously.

Emerging out of the shadows was a purple unicorn with a long, pale-yellow mane that wasn't cut long along, but it was now growing to become uneven again. On her back were saddlebags with all of her materials, except for her glass bottles and her cauldron which was stored in her room to be summoned later when needed. She even packed a dress along, which she only brought because her father recommended it.

 

Star Rain gazed up at the castle, feeling ecstatic at all the new spells she could learn. Having already trained in magic spells, she felt she had an advantage a good chunk of the students here most likely doesn't have. Determination and fear shining in her indigo eyes, she stepped into the castle and summoned her schedule. "Hmm, so I go to magic class first huh. Ok!" she said to herself. She stopped by the library to pick up her books, dazzled by the decor of the school. She then rushed over to her first class, spells.

 

She got to the classroom, panting and looked around. She randomly chose a desk and sat down.

Duine Rúnda stares at the school facility. What he was hoping to get out of attending this school rather than a normal school was some different perspectives on things, ideas normal school might not touch on.

 

He walked into class with his bag full of the stuff he was pretty sure was required for this school. Although, he had to check his schedule, and check it twice, and then put it away and pull it out again to check it once more.

 

"Erm..." He muttered.

 

"Spells?" he asked to himself, forgetting there might be others around, "Spells."

 

With that, he went right to spells class, although he was worried about how this nocturnal school thing would affect his sleeping habits.

Asteria had said her goodbyes to Lapis with only the faintest hint of remorse. The thought of going to an exclusive magic school delighted the little filly. He had made sure she had everything she needed before sending her off. Her heart raced as she approached her dorm room, where she left the things she wouldn't be needing on the bed assigned to her. With her books and writing supplies in her saddle bag, she made her way to her first class, World Study. She quickly found herself a seat and settled in. Learning was very exciting to her, so it was quite visible on her face.

Harmonic notices the two more ponies entering his class. He decided now would be as good a time as ever to do the demonstration.

 

"Now, Miss Red Dawn, would you be so kind as to come to the front of the class for a demonstration of simple Dream Manipulation?"

She writes down what the teacher, Harmonic Revelations is saying.

'' I can tell that this class will help me with magic.''

She thinks to herself about the school so far. ''This school could be the right place for me.''

Walks infront of the board, points my horn at a sleeping test dummy.

Changing the emotion of the dream from sad to happy.

Harmonic fiddles around with his desk, and a fold out table emerges, he lies it out in front of the class.

 

"Now, let's begin the demonstration. Would you please lie down in a position you find comfortable, miss Dawn? I will begin by demonstrating how you can affect the emotions portrayed in a dream."

Duine Rúnda stares around the spells classroom, something today, tonight, was really making confused about everything for some reason... Oh yea, it was his first day... 

 

He simply looked around again, "Do we have seating arrangements...? Eh."

 

He then sits down in a desk, and begins getting note stuff out. 

 

Time to see what is going on today.
