Chamois didn't speak.  She lifted her shoulders and removed her eyes from them.  I don't think this is a good idea.  Its always that one thing.  'You never know'.  You just...never know.  But I can't just...refuse.  I have to don't I? 

Why did I sign up for this in the first place?  Am I that stupid?

Nightfall sat there, feeling alone and lost; he didn't understand what the others were talking about, and nor did he fully expect to understand. Instead, he got out of his seat, and walked up towards the hill again, where he could see the hive. He sat down on the ridge.

"Ok, just say the word and il cast the spell... And at any time you feel hungery... Talk to me." She said

 

Shade got ready to cast the spell, she was still struggling to do it but she wanted to do it, she knows how to turn them back to normal, but it's probably not the way they would expect.

 

"I'm ready, just say the word." She said

Dox nodded and stood in front of Shade. "Ready whenever you are." He gave a small, weak smile as he looked at her getting ready to fire off the spell. He clamped his eyes shut and waited for it to happen. All he could think at the moment was, 'I really hope this works...'

Arrow took a few steps back from the group. "You're changing them all individually right ? Because if its the kinda thing where everyone is changed in a certain distance...I'm gonna move away. It didn't work disguising me as a changeling so I think actually changing me into one would  be worse..." She said, taking a few more steps away.

shade reverted every ponies forum and absorbed the extra love mist... she looks at dox and closed her eyes to focus. a dome formed over top of shade and expanded to surround everypony except arrow. shade focused as she was changing everypony. it was tough but she was pulling through. 

 

love mist came out of everypony bits of them shot right back into everypony to keep things about them the same.

 

i few more steps happened and shade changed everypony... the green dome faded and the extra love mist went back into the ponies to keep them from going hungry.

It felt... odd. The spell felt like it was constantly draining and then filling them up again. It made Dox's head feel all woozy. But he just shook it away and waited for it to get done and over with. It seemed like it took a long time to cast. Finally, when it was over, he opened his eyes just in time to see Shade fall to the ground. He gasped. "Shade! Shade, are you ok?!" He ran over to her.

Shade blinking her eyes out of time, she was dizzy and blind... "Uhg... I did say I might be.... *gag uhg... Just... Help me up" shade said with a lot of dizziness. She looks at dox who looks perfectly like a changeling. "There's no way they can suspect anything from you ponies... Except maybe arrow, but... The armor will just make them think your a soldier returning or something..."

Dox put her arm over his shoulders and hoisted her up, moving her over to a chair where she could comfortably rest. As he listens to what she says, he says, "Well, that's good, but we'll still need to keep our guard up. And we'll have tormal changelings, too, which shouldn't be too hard now."

"Well I'm ready to go whenever you are... But you might want to get use to your new temporary powers, like changing, communicating, and... Um... Other stuff... But I think communicating is the most important, so all you need to do is put attention into your ears"

When changed, Chamois shuffled over to Nightfall.  She didn't like the feel of the changeling body.  it felt odd and out of place.  Chamois sat down beside Nightfall.  "Got to stay together, remember?" she said.  Her voice sounded empty and blank, just as she felt. 

Then she heard Shade speak in her mind.  She grabbed her head in her hooves, surprised and horrified.  She yelped slightly.

Nightfall didn't like having someone inside his mind, talking to him. But Chamois had yelped a little, and it unnerved him, if such a thing could happen to a changling. He didn't feel right, so he hugged Chamois briefly.

"Look, it should all be over soon enough."

His own voice was hollow; he didn't like it.

When he hugged her, she barely felt a thing.  But in the back of her mind, she knew.  She was suddenly afraid she was losing herself.  Perhaps it would take time to adjust.  But until then, she might act like a zombie.  She didn't like that one bit.  She nodded at him, not wanting to speak in her empty voice.

"Chamois... if you can hear this, we might want to try this instead so that we don't actually hear our voices."

He dropped the hug and drooped his head. He didn't like the way he felt, the way he looked, the way he sounded... He hoped that they could do this quickly so that he didn't have to be like this for long.

"Hey. It will all be ok in the end, Chamois. And... if it will make you feel better, I'll be right here until we're ponies again."

Chamois nods slowly.  She stares at the dirt ground in front of her for a moment. 

"Promise?" Chamois whispered to his mind.

She knew.  She knew she was going against all the rules she set for herself with that one word.  But she just needed the answer.  And then she'd go back to those rules.

It didn't seem like her current self to say that, but if she said it, she said it.

He looked back at the hive and shuddered a little. He never thought of going on a mission like this, and if the changlings could detect fear and a subliminal amount of love, then he was in trouble.

Dox was a bit suprised at how they could now speak through telepathy. "Wow, that's rather impressive. I like it." Which was a lie. He didn't like the fact that somepony could speak into his mind, because that probably mean't that they could read his mind, too.

Chamois closed her eyes and nodded.  She felt a twinge of three things deep inside her.  One of them was doubt.  Doubt for all these ridiculous rules.  Another was fury.  Fury at herself for bothering.  The last one was something she didn't even want to think about.

I hope you're hurting, Chamois.  Serves you right.

He wasn't going to leave her alone this time, especially since she herself had made him promise not to leave her side until they were ponies again.

Chamois looked back at the others, turning her head but not her body.  I don't want to be near many ponies at the moment, but I don't think they'd be very happy to come get us.  I suppose we should be getting over there.  We should be going soon anyway.

Nightfall, that sounded creepy. Don't say that again. And I know you like her. But honestly, she doesn't seem to like it when things go fast. Try taking it slow for once.

He got up and started going back towards the group.

Geez, Chamois.  Could you be anymore awkward?  A simple okay would do.

I'd rather follow him then just be told he wants to go off somewhere.

Clingy much?  Honestly, darling Vine, sometimes I do wonder about you.

Chamois quickly stood up, brushing her thoughts away.  She followed Nightfall back to the group.

shade didnt know if the ponies were getting use to the communication power, "i errm... well, i dont think its important but why dont you give changing a try? its quite easy, all you need to do is put your attention on yourself and think about the pony you want to change into, then you should feel a fire inside of you, once you feel that, you must let it out and surround you to change you... so um... give it a try if you want to but i think we should get moving"
