(To get everyone in the spirit of things: )

Rambler stepped out of his cabin and onto the deck of the ship, enjoying the feel of the breeze blowing through his mane. He looked off into the distance and saw that they were reaching Trotuga* even faster than expected.

He called out to the crew.

"Everyone, we're almost there. Prepare to land."

Rambler was eager to land, not just because it meant a chance to go find a tavern to get drunk in, but also because he had arranged for a meeting with a contact who could potentially make him an extraordinary amount of money if things went well.

(*For those of you who don't remember or weren't there, Trotuga was suggested as a possible name for the main port in the original version of this RP, but lost out to Casaflanka. Hence, I decided to use it this time. I say this mainly just to clarify that I misspelled Tortuga on purpose.)

(OOC: How could I forget the name I sat thinking about for hours...and hours...)

Diamond was sitting in her cabin sipping a cup of tea, cleaning her shotgun when she felt the ship bump slightly.

She clipped her shotgun to a strap on her back, then she walked out of her cabin and towards the bow of the ship.

Reaching the bow she looked off at the large clouds in front of the ship. She grinned. "Look's like we're in for a bit of a storm." She muttered, turning around and looking at the crew members bustling around the deck.

Harmonic Tranquility was already stood at the bow, calm as ever as he looked out over the sky. When he felt Diamond's presence he stepped to the side to allow her access. He didn't say anything to her, he just continued staring. Dark clouds approaching, big ones too. 'Tis gonna be a fun day, he grinned as the thoughts ran through his mind.

Tink Wing squinted her eyes slightly, at the sound of the Captains voice. His voice always seemed to interrupt her train of thought, at the worst possible time. "So loud!" She thought to herself, as she stared down at her current project. She had been working on it for the last two days, trying to perfect it. She had made such a fuss over keeping it a secret until it was ready, she was determined to finish it today. Sighing, she closed her eyes and rubbed her head with both her hooves. "Maybe I should take a short break and grab a bite to eat. We're 'almost there.' anyways." She thought, giving herself a small approving nod. She looked down at her project one more time before grabbing a small chest, that was on the table next to her. She put the tiny pile of gears and wires into the chest and closed it. "Guess I better go see whats going on." She said softly to herself.

With that, she stood up, shifting her weight to her front legs. Walking was difficult for her, ever since she broke her leg. "Ow" she thought lazily as she began to walk slowly towards the stairs, limping lightly as she walked. She stared up at the stairs for a long moment before sighing. She limped slowly up the stairs, keeping her eyes forward at the light up above. Once at the top of the stairs, she poked her head out and looked around for a moment. The light was bright, compared to the dim light she was just in, and she had to give her eyes a minute to adjust. "There we go." she thought as her eyes finally adjusted, and she could see properly. She looked over at Rambler with a sleepy look on her face.

Storm flew along with the ship keeping pace easily the wind felt nice as it blew through his mane and tail. He was glad that he'd joined this crew after leaving his hometown. It was a welcome escape from constantly being on the run from the law in his home but such was the life of a thief. Storm could see the town in his view as it grew ever closer it would be a good time to stock up on poisons and other necessities that he would need to keep his skills sharp but it also meant drinking and he was definitely okay with that.

Storm flew down to the deck and made his way over to his Captain "Ah the site of land sure is something Cap'n I wanted to thank you for letting me come along. It's not everyday I get to be part of a large crew like this."

Diamond gave Harmonic a small wink as she trotted up towards the helm of the ship.

"As you have probably noticed, we are heading towards a large storm...just take extra precaution." She said to the helmspony, smiling at him and walking towards the hatch that led to the galley.

"Awww looks like Stormy is trying to impress the boss..." Firedancer sidled up to her captain and then gave Storm Fire a quick wink. "It'll be nice to reach land again...these hooves need a good pampering."  She fixed her gaze on Trotuga, eager to meet a few new fools-I mean friends.

Firewhip had stayed a little behind his sister. He had rushed out of his hammock once he heard his Captains call. Yet he saw the trouble Tink Wing was having and being the gentlecolt he is, he offered her a hoof.

@,

Rambler smiled at Storm and nodded.

"Don't mention it. You're a valuable asset to the crew. I'm glad we found you."

Rambler couldn't help but chuckle at Firedancer's behavior. It was so typical of her.

"I just hope don't cause too much trouble. We don't want the guards paying too much attention to us."

Tink Wing looked at Firewhip, a pony she hardly knew, as he offered her his hoof. She frowned for a moment, but that frown quickly changed into a small smile. "No one looks down, or takes pity, on you, Tink. He's just being nice. There is no reason to be offended at kindness." She thought to herself quickly, before taking his hoof. Now off the stairs and on deck, she gave a nod to Firewhip. "Thank you." She said softly. She then turned her gaze to Trotuga. "So that is Trotuga?" She asked Firewhip, her gaze still fixated on the up-coming land.

She finally turned her attention back to Firewhip, awaiting his reply, only to realize she was still holding onto his hoof. She laughed, finally letting go of him. "Sorry, I forgot you weren't a crutch."

Storm just gave Firedancer a confused stare. He couldn't shake the feeling like she had the aura of athief about her including her brother. It didn't bother Storm though if it was true that just meant that it was something that they all had in common with each other. Storm looked out and watched as the city came more into view he could feel his tail twitching with excitement. He was really eager to leave the ship and get some shore leave.

"Heh maybe I'll have to pick a few pockets while I'm here never had Trotuga coins in my pouch yet."

Firewhip chuckled "I never mind holding a young mares hoof!" He turned to look at the horizon before them "Yes! Trotuga! Where the ales a-plenty, the company entertaining and the mares...well...". Firewhip reminisced about many a barfight and stolen pouches.

Firedancer smiled sweetly at her Captain. She glanced over at Storm Fire and said "You a pickpocket? Well then my handsome colt...you'll have to beat me to them!". She flicked her tail in agreement.Firedancer hadn't pinned him for a thief, maybe she was getting rusty.

Tink Wing laughed as Firewhip went off into his dream land of long forgotten memories. "Wonderful. I could use a drink, and maybe - oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Supplies. I am missing a few gears for my-" She cut herself off, looking at the dazed look on Firewhips face. "Ah- he's not listening, nor would he care." She thought to herself with a small chuckle. "Well, it looks like we will be there in a matter of moments." She said out loud, though mostly talking to herself.

She stared to limp towards the edge of the ship, where she could peer over the side. "Ah- I cannot WAIT to fly around. This walking stuff is for the earth ponies." She mumbled to herself, before giving a small laugh at her own stupid joke. Of course she found it funny, considering she was an earth pony.

Harmonic simply closed his eyes and nodded, a smile creeping on his lips as Diamond walked away.

He stared out to the sky for a few more moments, until the storm was almost upon them. He walked around the edge of the ship, watching all the chaos-riddled ponies tying down everything loose and clearing the deck themselves. He found himself being one of the last to be above deck, sitting atop the stairs that lead below.

Diamond made her way back up to the deck of the ship and walked up to the helm. "I feel like doing something that isn't sitting in my room. I am going to steer us through this storm." She said to the helmspony who nodded and made his way below deck. Diamond grinned and took hold of the helm. Thunder could be heard as Lightning flashed next to the ship.

Wind knocked the ship around slightly as Rain started to pour down onto the deck.

Fiera laughed and jumped down from the crows next, using her wings to slow her fall when she landed next to Harmonic. "Hey there Harmonic, enjoying the rain? I certainly am. I've always loved the rain..." she trailed off, thinking of times she had been in the rain before. She returned her attention back to Harmonic a moment later. "You don't talk much, do you?"

Truth be told, he didn't even realise it was raining, he was too busy staring off into the distance. "Talking only serves as a distraction. A swarm of words to cloud the mind, hindering your view of the goals ahead." He didn't look directly at her while he spoke either, instead looking out the corner of his eye in her direction.

Fiera huffed and sat down next to him. "It can distract more than just myself. Ever told another pony their tail was on fire? Makes it almost too easy to win. At least, if they are stupid. Which, in the case of fighting other pirates, it works rather well" she said, trying to get him to realize why talking was a good thing. "Besides, talking is almost the only form of communication we have".

"There can be no honour in trickery or deceit, and a true warrior has no such need for fruitless tactics such as those."

He turned his attention back on the skies ahead as he lay down his pistol in front of him. He nodded towards it, placing a hoof on the barrel. "I see this form of communication works just fine, myself."

He was silent for a few moments, before he turned to look Fiera in the eyes. "Why do you enjoy the rain so much? Such a calm, yet unrelenting force in the wrong situations, it is unpredictable and uncontrollable."

Two large figures walked towards the front of the Vermilion Sky, on leaner and lithe and the other fairly chunky. It was their first day on the ship and their eighth day outside of the Everfree Forest, and the ponies around them seemed strange.

The ahuizotl spoke up, his voice strangely accented, as he smiled and flicked his long tail with the white hand at the end. "Looks like a storm's coming," he said to the other white shape besides him.

The albino manticore nodded a little nervously. Life in the air wasn't what she thought it would be, and her pitch black mane was bristling slightly. The ahuizotl laughed and rubbed her head with his hand.

"Calm down, Seirian, it's not like a little thing like this is going to just knock us out of the sky," he said in a slightly hurtful tone, and the manticore blinked her beautiful blue eyes and looked up at him.

"If you say so, Cas, but still...first day and a storm comes." She chewed her lip nervously. "It's like some weird bad omen."

"Omen? Don't talk to me about omens," laughed Cas, and he rubbed her head again, mussing her mane up.

Firewhip chuckled "What an interesting mare...". He made way towards the Captain, stepping over ropes and breathing in the fresh air. This had been a big step for him and Firedancer, upgrading from caravan to air ships. They had talked it over the night before they boarded the ship and had both agreed that the bounty would be much more. Plus, they could travel to places they never could have before.

He was concerned for his sister. Firewhip studied her from a distance. Firedancer had an easy heart and was just as quick to get her heart broken as she was breaking them, it was one thing being surrounded by your family and another being surrounded by rugged pirates.

"Ay Captain, what are your orders?" he raised his voice.

(OOC: Trotuga should totally be a mountain town...with docks and stuff for airships.)

The ship bumped and a large bolt of lightning flashed next to the ship, followed by a very loud boom of thunder.

Diamond pushed a few buttons next to the wheel of the ship, making the sails a the back of the ship open up wide. The whole ship gained some speed as lightning flashed below them.

*Once we get out of this bloody storm we should be about an hour away from Trotuga.* She thought, looking out at the bow of the ship at the two newest members.

Cas watched the sails open with some mild interest, but Seirian was staring over the edge of the deck. She didn't know why she was doing that since she was just making herself nervous, but watching the land swirl by like some deranged watercolour was oddly beautiful, and she had never been in the sky. Her paws were ever whiter than they already were and her claws dug into the side of the ship as she breathed in the stormy air and, for the first time, she felt some small inkling of freedom.

The ahuizotl, however, seemed more interested in the ship itself. It was rather interesting, and he'd like to get to know it better. He hadn't spoken to the captain yet but that didn't matter; it's not like he would ever listen to her anyways. Cas was only on this ship to get done what needed to get done with Seirian. He continued to stare at Light Diamond, watching her to see what sort of person she was.

Tink was starring over the edge of the ship, when she heard someone address the Captain. She turned her attention to them now, listening in on their conversation. Her ears twitched a bit as she realized she was probably too far off to hear them well, so she limped forward a few steps to be closer to the conversation.

(Sorry for being late, guys. I was at school... Like all day. You know how that goes. And I'm chaning Bonesnap's name to Shockfoot soon so... Yeah.)

Shockfoot woke up from her nap. She yawned, and hopped out of her bed. She stretched a few times, then went over to the nearby mirror and combed her bedmane down. She then shot a beam of magic at the orange pile of metal, and it formed into a suit of armor on her. She sang an old song as she walked out onto the deck.

"Yippie Yaaaaayyyy... They'll be no weddin' bells for today!"

She sang rather loudly, not really caring if anypony heard.

@,

Fiera frowned and looked at Harmonic. "Since when does honor concern you? Were pirates! Besides, killing a pony would never bring anypony so called 'honor'. They once had parents, and possibly brothers and sisters, they had life. Maybe not the best of lives, but it was one. And for you to take it away, regardless of situation, could never be 'honorable'. Fruitless tactics is a poor choice of words considering it actually works" she said highly irritated.

"I don't have a gun, so i guess the best form a communication to you would be my hoof (fist)"

Fiera shrugged at the last question, returning to her normal cheery mood. "I dunno. I guess its nice to feel the sensation of rain splashing on my coat. Maybe its just the smell afterwards... and if you hadn't noticed, pegasi can move clouds"
