questions about collections

i am not someone who buys pony toys/ figures ect, but i do have a soft spot for shirts, scarves, sweaters, toques and all that good stuff

 

anyway what do you collect that is MLP related? and/or why you do/don't collect things MLP related?

I personally don't collect much merchandise for a number of reasons:

• There isn't much of it in the UK
• I'm fine with people knowing I'm a Brony, but not with people knowing that I actually spend money on physical merchandise related to MLP
• I'm aspiring to save my money as college looms
• My total lack of skill with plushies means I can't make any

I started out collecting the molded characters a little while back. I stuck with them for a while because they were small and looked more like the characters than the brushables and I was already collecting a number of other doll lines so I didn't really want to get bogged down with another. Then the brushables began to grow on me and I've just started modded their hair to look more like the cartoon. I have a few articles of clothing; shirts, socks jewellery that I have. I would say I collect more of the toy merch than clothing just because I find them so adorable. I don't have that many accessories but that may change with all the branching out they are doing with different items and characters; I did notice quite a few things at the toy fair that I might have to pick up later.

I collect shirts that I design on Vistaprint. It takes about two weeks for the merch to arrive at my house and cost about 19 USD for the shirt and shipping.

I buy the brushable figures because I still am a tiny, easily-amused little girl at heart. I also buy the plushies, and sometimes the packs of three blindbag-sized ponies too But I am mostly buying G1 toys right now off the secondary market, there's so much more potential in them!

I pretty buy a bit of everything , most toys though.

My main interest is plushies (official or made by me) and blind bag sized figurines.( I have most of them). I also really like the brushables.

I only have one shirt at the moment though

It may vary by your location - some areas or stores may have weird, crappy distribution or only get certain characters in a case. But generally, the entire main six are everywhere and painfully easy to find, and impossible to avoid. Mostly because every single wave of brushable has had at least some of the main six in it (if not all), and they're thrown in to almost every multi-pony pack so that you have to buy your 137th Pinkie Pie to get a white Celestia, or some other ridiculous nonsense like that :') But yeah, the main six shouldn't be too hard to find!

I'm more of a personal collector..I collect for my own enjoyment, hehe. I guess I like to collect things that can be put on display and used to decorate with. I'm also quite a fan of plushies and anything I can wear. I have quite a number of pony shirts (to have a good variety that I can wear without repeats in a single week) and a hoodie, which I'm absolutely in love with!

 

Besides that, I like collecting the miniature blingbag ponies- they're cheap and small- fun to collect in my opinion! That and there's so much of a variety in the designs.

I  would only collect a couple of Hasbro made items (The SDCC Exclusive Derpy, and Zecora), Fanmade plashes and figures, and T-Shirts.

 

Why alot of fanmade objects, is because of the God awful figures that Hasbro make. The t-shirts are cool, and the outer wear is also cool.

Twilight Sparkle seems to be the favorite in my area..regardless of the type of merchandise you're browsing, it's very difficult if not impossible to come across her. I just barely managed to get the Funrise plushie of her at a nearby Target. I'd absolutely love to get a brushable of her next- and to style her bangs how they are in the show.

I'll buy a little of everything as long as I like it. I have other hobbies to focus the bulk of my money on, but I regularly buy MLP comics and clothes/accessories. I have some Playful Ponies, and some Blind Bags, but I'm definitely going to collect the Funko toys, plushies and DVD's.

I try to collect a variety of merchandise of my little pony. I have a few shirts and a pullover(a princess luna shirt,pinkie pie,derpy shirt,wonderbolts shirt and then mane 6 on pullover. I get my shirts from welovefine,spencers and hot topic.  I have the mane 6 brushables, fashion style luna and celestia,fashion style fluttershy, favorites collection,zecora and white talking celestia. I also have the SDCC Derpy. A lot of blindbags too >.< I collect the plushies I can get like the ones from funrise(I only have rainbow dash and fluttershy) and most recently Build-a-bear pinkie pie and rainbow dash. I even collect the enterplay mlp trading cards and have my own binder to keep them in. Some other things like child books and coloring books with stickers. Also some hair accessories from H&M. Then since the comic came out I have been collecting the issues too. 

 

I also cosplay mlp characters so I have some cosplay accesories for them like wings and ear. I have only cosplayed rainbow dash and fluttershy.
