And to think, if you had told me a few hours ago that the star creature that destroyed all those soldiers in Canterlot, and according to our scriptures damned them all to eternity in the star realm, would be here trying to heal people, I would have laughed at you... But now I understand, she is a force for protection, not destruction..."

He shudders at the thought, then hears the filly's question. "I'm sorry JT, I can't help you with this one." He backs up a few feet.

 

The filly tries to rub herself against JT's leg. "Mr. Human? Where did my daddy go? After the star demon killed my brother, my mommy wouldn't stop crying, so my daddy said he'd make sure the star demon wouldn't hurt anyone again... He-he did beat the demon right? My daddy was really strong, he could do anything..." Her voice trails off as she sobs with uncertainty.

 

Lydia gives rocket a gentle hug. "As long as you promise not to get yourself hurt while you sleep..."

Lydia smiles. "I'm doing pretty good... Somehow my body knew exactly how and where to set the broken bones, and it didn't actually feel like he was hitting me that hard... Something with that much mass hitting that hard should have pulverized me, not left me with some broken bones and cuts."

Zana looks at the two with a glint of realization. "That explains why it's so hard to hurt a star demon... You must have some sort of either protection or inherent resistance to being harmed..."

It really does have a nice ring to it... As for rocket, he doesn't have the luxury of a healing booster like your implant, hank's regeneration, or whatever insane regeneration I have... He'll make a full recovery eventually, but for now he's going to have to sleep, a lot..." She looks down at her bloodied and torn dress "funny, I've gone through enough shot today to kill me a few times over, and all I have to show for it is some torn up clothes..."
