He said as he walks to the tardis and unlocks the door "I hope I can do this right." He said as he spins dials and pesses buttons and pulls a lever as they head back to the past star child

Lydia nods, "you're right... But I guess we'll find out, won't we? Let's go!" She opens the door and walks out into the snow, the cold not bothering her at all.

The star child nods "no need to be apprehensive, I did ask if you wanted the information. Old Stalliongrad was a hard place to live in, but it was beautiful in some places... Your ancestors weren't as hopeless as the stories say, and they had a settlement with a beautiful central sleeping area before I showed up... As for my abilities, there is no real set powers that a star being has... They're completely dependent on what the being and those around them want or need them to be. If I believed I couldn't control myself, then I wouldn't be able to. Your ancestors needed a source of warmth, so I became one. You needed someone to answer your prayers and confirm your belief, so I could. My counterpart, whom you've already met, said she could destroy a city in desperation... That's not unheard of either. Zebras believe we are creatures with immeasurable destructive power, so around them we become that. We literally are as powerful as you wish or require us to be."

A stallion walks into Lydias sight, he looks tired and fragile, but her is hauling a pile of stone to build a house. he sets the stones down and coughs hard, but he sees his mare and smiles. he sees Lydia and looks to his mare, who retreats into the house. the stallion pulls out a dagger and yells, "IF YOU WANT MY FAMILY YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH ME!"

 

Rosko looks amazed, "you.... you transform..... you are simpliy amazing."

A stallion walks into Lydias sight, he looks tired and fragile, but her is hauling a pile of stone to build a house. he sets the stones down and coughs hard, but he sees his mare and smiles. he sees Lydia and looks to his mare, who retreats into the house. the stallion pulls out a dagger and yells, "IF YOU WANT MY FAMILY YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH ME!"

Lydia steps back "Um, I'm not here to hurt you... I guess I'll just be going now." She turns to JT "So much for meeting the locals... I have a sneaking suspicion that we are about to witness something big..."

The star child nods "I suppose you could call it transformation, I prefer adaptation myself, but to each their own... Anything else you want to know about?"

Hank walks out and looks at the stallion "we arent here to hurt any of you. please tell me what time are we in. i am not very sure of the time." he said as he looks at lydia "something big and bad will happen, because i am here. Wherever i go, i bring destruction and death.. bad things happen.."

Hank smiles as he bows "its nice to meet you yabvin roskovic, my name is Hank. I am a pony, its really nice to be here.. infact. where am i? when am i?" he asked as he waits for a response so he will know if he arrived at the right place and at the right time.  "so? what year is it also?"

Hank looks at Lydia "no it won't, this is not a fixed point. This can be changed and you two will still meet.  but.. if you dont want it. than okay. " he said and sighs as he takes them both and heads in the TARDIS throwing them in "look. something bigger, badder, worse will happen, because im here."

hank sighs "than we are leaving. if we cant be here to help, than this entire race will be gone." he said and looks at lydia and jt "i am sorry.. i really am. we cant go there unless you want bad things to happen." he said as he took them back to the normal time and sighs

Yavin looked in awe at what had just happend, he walked into his house and prayed, "please... whoever is out there, our family is starving, my poor child is freezing every night... we need help.."

 

Rosko smiled as he finally foound out his question... "my great grandfather... yavin.... what was he like?"

Yavin looked in awe at what had just happend, he walked into his house and prayed, "please... whoever is out there, our family is starving, my poor child is freezing every night... we need help.."

 

Rosko smiled as he finally foound out his question... "my great grandfather... yavin.... what was he like?"

(And thus, all the information and exposition I've been making finally becomes useful to the characters, remember what the star child said, and just roll with the plot.)

Lydia shakes her head at hank, eyes glowing with otherworldly power.  "These people are DYING, and you're a fool if you think I'm going to let them die. Leave me if you want, but I won't let you abandon these poor souls to their deaths."

 

The star child nods "Well, he was very protective of his family, and quite hostile to me and my counterpart at first. However, he was an excellent leader, if a stop-gap ruler at best. If my memory is correct, he was the only person who saw me come into existence... and he was the one who asked me to assist Stalliongrad."

JT finally comes to a sudden realization, "lydia.... you arent a decendant of the starchild..... You are the starchild!" he opens the door to the TARDIS as they were in the air, he kisses her and says, "meet me in the Chapel of the starchild, i think you know when"

 

Rosko looks at the face of the star child and says. "you.... you look familiar"

JT finally comes to a sudden realization, "lydia.... you arent a decendant of the starchild..... You are the starchild!" he opens the door to the TARDIS as they were in the air, he kisses her and says, "meet me in the Chapel of the starchild, i think you know when"

The star child smiles "Of course I look familiar, you've met me... Well sort of. This is where it gets complicated, so please try to keep up. "

(These next two parts occur simultaneously, as if narrated.)

The star child shows Rosko a scene of the past, narrating as she goes, "You see, the star child and the person you know as Lydia are not one and the same, but two sides of the same coin. I was the side that didn't let things like the laws of physics affect how much power I could use, the 'star goddess' side who wanted to help people no matter what. She was the other side of her mind, the analytical side that just wanted something that passed as normal. I never truly existed without her, and without the faith of the ever-growing Stalliongrad I would have faded away long ago. The real reason I couldn't help you with your dictator problems was that I was too weak... The only person who really believed in me was you, but since the recent resurgence in belief, I can at least show myself to you in places where I was most powerful."

Lydia steps out of the tardis and floats there for a moment, unwilling to leave JT. A form appears in front of her, takes her shape, and begins to fall. As the flaming energy being hits the ground it spontaneously melts the snow for half a mile, and a large column of flame appears around the impact site. Floating back into the tardis Lydia smiles at JT "I'm not the star child, but I might as well be."
