Lydia continues crying, holding JT in her arms sadly. "It's my fault for getting controlled in the first place... I was afraid of exactly this happening, I lose control and you get hurt... Badly... I-I don't want to hurt you again... I couldn't sleep at night if I did..." She sobs, broken by the day's events.

Sally nods, 'On the bright side, I got some great data on the implant... It failed spectacularly at only half the expected temperature... Your girlfriend must have a way to intensify fire, or I just suck at math...'

Hank started the regeneration as the blast happens not noticing the fire beads as it came into contact with hank making him fall back killing him.

 

Celestia felt like her heart dropped when she felt that hank died right there and then "it looks like trixie won"

An ethereal form of Trixie forms in front of Fireblaze and starts laughing. "You're joking right? I just did everything I wanted and more! I killed goody-goody's brother, and there's nothing you can do about it or me! I'd like to see HER do something on par with what I did. Send your guards, I'll shred them like tissue paper."

JT looked over towards hank and sighed, "I guess my sacrifice wasn't enough..." He looked at the sky and laid motionless, "I wish I would have helped more hank, I'm sorry"

Lydia holds JT reassuringly, trying to calm both him and herself down. "You did the best you could... I wish I could've stopped myself... I don't know know what I would do without you and hank..."

Sally gives JT a stern look, 'I know what you're thinking, and NO. You're in no shape to be chasing down a killer. You're healing at a decent rate, but if you want to prevent permanent damage to your body you're going to have to relax for a while. Most people wouldn't be so lucky...'

(FYI, it's not a hologram. Those are technological, this is a manifestation of Trixie's consciousness on another plane of existence. It may sound like semantics that I'm pointing this out, but trust me... This will come up later. On an unrelated note, could you please go a bit more into depth about charles' powers/equipment/etc? I'd like to know, such that I may balance our new antagonist accordingly.)

I survived on one meal a day, forced to hear of you and your friends' every exploit, kept alive by the hope that you would absolve me when I showed you that I knew real magic now... But instead you appealed to my aggression and showed me up again. After that, I was saddled with crippling debt and had no way to get a job. But the humans didn't care about that... They were just amazed that a pony could be as angry at you as I was... I was on the edge of death, but they saved me. They made me stronger, they gave me a second chance, I owe everything to them, but you made me like this... Whatever I am now, you made me this way."

Lydia smiles, "Hank kept insisting that it was fine, but I had my doubts... He gave me an instruction manual, so being the scientist I am I rooted around the circuit and managed to jury-rig it with Amy's help... Once we get hank back I'll put a better system in place, but we should get in nice and quiet for now."

I sent you as many messages as I could afford, I even tried sending information to you telepathically... I-I didn't know anything about him but that he was your brother... and he could regenerate... I didn't think he would die... I'm so sorry twilight... I didn't mean to kill him... Is there something I can do to make it up to you?"
