Lydia shudders, looking as if she's about to cry. "Inferno... That was Kate's project... I'm glad you didn't have to see what it did... This is pace's advanced research division... We were the ones that were in charge of making sure we won, no matter how incompetent the generals were, and no matter how hard the resistance fought... Inferno... That was a project to create pyromancers... People who could conjure flame from thin air... It didnt work, test subjects couldn't handle the heat and burned up, but not before vaporizing the lab, the staff observing them, every pony we had there for testing, and damn near 10 inches of a titanium-tungsten alloy, the densest metal on the planet."

Lydia starts sobbing. "I'm... I'm sorry... I didn't tell you for two reasons. First being I was worried you would call me a monster... I am a monster, but when others say it it hurts even more. The other reason was.... I thought if I just got rid of the evidence then it never happened... All the experimenting on ponies... All the watching test subjects die... I didn't want to think about it again."

Lydia smiles, and starts looking through her desk. "Thanks for the support... Seeing this data... brings back a lot of bad memories. I guess now that I'm feeling better I can tell you what Nightmare was... we were planning on using the organism by the name of Nightmare Moon as a weapon. Mind control, Selective conditioning... the whole deal. Thankfully that plan never got off the ground. However, I did manage to perfect this after the citadel was destroyed. You can have it if you want." she said as she finally found a vial filled with grey fluid marked 'Project E, solution V3'

Lydia places the vial into her pocket, idly tapping her fingers on the desk. "I ironed out most of the side effects after the version I used on myself... the only one left is an adverse reaction to the regeneration the first few times you use it... And I have to know if you're taking any medication... it sometimes doesn't like to play nice with drugs."
