Minath was done for the day, one could only work the Guard so hard before they file for a new captain. She landed in the Garden and walked in to the ball room, even though it was empty. She sat there, thinking of the events that happened earlier. What was with that Draco dude?

Draco sighed as he flew back to the castle. After afew minutes he finally found Minath.  He landed infront of her with a soft thud "Hey uh sorry if I left you here alone.  I really am sorry," Draco said with an apologetic smile "So want to go get some lunch all this flying around is giving me an appitite,"he said as he looked at the beautifull mare infront of him.

"It's okay, I had to work." Minath said, sliding over to make room for Draco. "I actually don't talk to alot of ponies, so it's okay. And I'm off right now becuase the Guard will file for a new captain if I work them any harder." Minath laughed. But later in their career the guards realized her tatics and thanked her. Always happened.

Draco sighed slightly "So Minath tell me about yourself. I like to get to know my new friend," Draco said as he looked into her eyes with his silver ones. He said this You do have pretty eyes Minath," Draco looked alittle embarassed when he said that. "Sorry I like to compliment my female customers. Then I get a cane or something thrown at me," Draco said jokingly.

Minath had to chuckle alittle at that. She gave a nervous, semi-quiet 'thanks' under her breath.

 

"Well, as you already know, I'm captain of the Guard. The youngest one ever, in fact. I was born in Manehatten and was put up for adoption when I was young, by  who I don't know and don't care. I ran away before I ever even got my cutie mark. I flew all the way to Canterlot, and snuck into the castle and fell asleep right where we're sitting. Celestia found me, and noticed I was an alicorn. She took me under her wing, and in fact I'm close friends with Twilight Sparkle, the one who saved Equestia many times. I took over being Captain of the Guard when her brother left. The rest is history." Minath said. She forgot how good it felt to tell somepony something, anything, about herself.

"Honestly my mother was from across the seas. My papa was raised in Manehatten. They met when she came to Equestria in a exchange program. I think I got abit of her accent," Draco said as he looked at Minath. "Then things went down hill after Sarah was born oh Sarah is my little sister. A fire over took our home. I only had time to save Sarah. I had to give her up to relatives while I lived in Manehatten where I took up lounge singing as a career choice. Bt I'm a courier of exotic items now but I enjoy singing. I hear my parents screams in my dreams at night,"Draco looked at the water and splashed it when he saw his reflection. "Look if you have a request I can sing for you whenever you want." Draco said.

"Ah swear that was..." said Brazen, as she looked around the street for the Red pegasus that had entered, and left just as abruptly. But it was no good, the streets were filled with ponies trotting too and fro.

 

"Nah!" she said. "Can't have been. I mean, what are the chances?" she looked up at the sky. Judging by the position of the sun it must've been 3 o'clock in the afternoon. "A better find someplace to stay." she thought to herself. She hoped she would bump into one of her new friends again, they seemed really nice when compared with the rest of Canterlots snobbish unicorn inhabitence.

"I think I'll save my request for another time." Minath said. She wasn't really sure how to respond to his story. She wondered if it was better to know you're parents gave you up rather than losing them that way. She wondered what her parents would've thoguht if they saw her now. She wondered if they even knew she was an alicorn. Mianth hadn't wondered this in awhile, and Draco's story reminded her. Her brow furrowed and she frowned.

she led Flare to her house and went inside

"here we are, make yourself at home, I have a spare room up the hall, here"

she opened the door to a neat lookig bedroom

"that should be better than a cloud, now shouldnt it"

 

Flare grinned widely; her bedroom had a comfy, cosy feel to it... one she could see herself being very comfortable with. And she could even help Hunter with the baby in return for the sudden kind gesture... that'd be useful of her.

 

Slowly, she put her books down on the bedside table and sniffed the scent she would eventually have written all over her. It was pleasant, and she thanked her lucky starts Hunter was around when she was. She sighed in relief, feeling more gratitude than ever.

 

"Th-Thank you, Hunter... I don't know what I can do to show the appreciation I feel right now..." she murmured, her eyes cast towards the floor.

"Well want to go get something to eat milady?" Draco asked. "I was going to go see my friend Brazen I do hope she's around. I think I saw her in a resteraunt. Heh she is kinda cute though. I don't mind if she's an earth pony. Heck one of my best friends is an earth pony," Draco said as he llooked at Minath.

Minath shrugged. She was curious about this Brazen though.... And Minath was getting kindof hungry. Normally she would eat at the Palace after work, but she figured she might as well go out. She put back on her saddle bag put her goggles around her neck, waiting for Draco to guide her to where ever he wanted to go.

Brazen burst out of the mass of ponies, gasping for breath. It was rush hour, when most citizen left their jobs and headed for home. She wasn't used to these kind of crowds. "Dammit dammit dammit dagnabbit." she cursed. Some of the gentle-colts gave her disapproving stares. Well tough, she thought, I'll curse all I like. She trotted over to a bench and sat down.

 

"I'm lost." she thought aloud. Canterlot could be confusing even to those who lived in it, let a lone somepony who didn't even live there. "Sometimes, ah sure wish I had wings, make things a whole lot easier. Ah still need to find some place to stay. And on top of that, I've got to find my way back to the restaurant at 9 o'clock." She sighed. "Maybe it would've been better if I'd just stayed there and slept rough."

Draco's ears perked up"Hold on I think I hear a friend of mine. Come on Minath," Draco said as he flew into the air then over to where Brazen was. "BRAZEN UP HERE," Draco yelled out while trying to get her attention. He waved his hoof at her while he was in the air. He loved to be in the air to be free from earthly bounds.

Minath followed Draco with ease, and saw the pony that must be Brazen. It was clear that she was an earth pony, and was clearly uncomfortable. Minath just hovered near Draco, feeling as if she was intruding. She had only just met Draco, and Brazen was his friend.

Brazen looked up to see Draco and what appeared to be another pegasus hovering dirctly above her. "Draco? Draco O'Malley?" a huge grin spreading over her face. "So it was you I saw in the restaurant! Ha! I knew I wernt going crazy! How're things keeping ya, Draco?"

 

Brazen looked over to the other pony hovering beside him, who was obviously trying to remain out of the conversation for the time being. "Oh, and who's your friend?" she said, in a slightly quieter and more inviting tone.

Jolt placed the Princess's signature on the pass under the tracing paper and made 3 tracings, the quality of the forgery improving each time.

Jolt placed the signatures under his hat so no one would find them. He then made his way over to the castle as quickly as possible.

 

[Hard to look normal when you've just made a near perfect replica of a VIP's signature.]

 

Jolt reachedthe doors to the castle, put the hard hat so low it covered his eyes and held his breath. Soon, he would be in.

Draco landed infront of Brazen and said "Well you have grown more beautifull over the years Brazen 2 years since we've met in Manehatten. Anyhow Brazen meet Minath, Minath meet Brazen Wrench. So Brazen want to go with us to my favorite cafe here. It'll give us time to catch up. You just got here didn't you?" Draco asked then said "I have two extra rooms for you to move into,"

Even after being introduced to Brazen, Minath still felt wierd. Like she was an outsider intuding. She couldn't help but hear about Manehatten. If she had stayed there, would they have met? More likely than not, no. But she still thought about it. Minath nodded to Brazen, one of the main greetings Minath used.

"Aw, Draco, you're too kind." said Brazen. She turned to Minath "Pleased to meat you miss Mina-whoa" said Brazen, noticing the horn on Minath's head. "You're an Alicorn?" Brazen said, sitting back down on the seat. "I aint never seen an Alico- are you a princess? Do you live in the castle? I'm so sorry excuse my manners! Please don't throw me in the dungeon, I didn't mean to bother you!" stuttered Brazen, never feeling so small in her entire life. She began to take deep breaths. This day just kept getting crazier and crazier.

"It's okay. Calm down. I won't throw you in a dungeon. I'm not a princess, not that I know of. I do live in the castle. You're not a bother, I get that alot." Minath normally had to calm down ponies like this. She tried to avoid putting her hooves on their shoulders because it exites some of them anymore, so she avoided doing that with this one.

Draco began to laugh slightly "No she isn't a princess she is the captain of the gaurd. So no worries on that. Trust me I was be half way to Manehatten if I disrespected a princess. I should know because well let's just say I was there. Okay okay I got sent to Manehatten when that happen I swear I lost control of my speed. I didn't know Celestia was in the bathtub when I crashed through the window," Draco said with a blush on his face. He was so glad his fur was red.

Brazen sighed in relief. This was certainly not what she was expecting, but she still felt uneasy around the presence of such a majestic pony. "I'm sorry, I- never mind. I'm Brazen Wrench! The best engineer to come out the rock wastes!" She said pulling a spanner out of her saddlebag and spinning it in her hoof. "Well, heh, I hope so anyway, since I'm here to be working on your plumbing, heh." she laughed nervously, the spanner clattering to the ground.

Minath's wings twitched, a giveaway of when she was feeling awkward or nervous.

 

"I sure hope so too." Minath said, trying to appear cool, calm and collected. It was a new experience for her, but she decided yo mimic that stupid alicorn dame Cadence. Minath had afew choice words for her.

"Oh my Brazen I didn't knw you were a marefooler. I guess I don't have a chance eh?" Draco said joking around.  He got ready to run if she got violent. Draco smiled as he laughed out loud. "Oh boy I'm just joking with you Brazen. I know you like stallions. I'm probably not on your list because I'm a good old pegasus with nice soft wings,"

Brazen began to blush furiously, her eyes glued to the pavement. "In all honesty, I don't know what I am when it comes to, well, y'know." she said, scratching at the concrete with her hoof. "I guess I've just never had time for romance, what with lookin' after the family and stuff. My own feelings just take the back seat."
