"Now lets just rest up for the trek up the mountain so we can make it easier then trying to trek up it now cause some of us are probably tired from getting here" Flare said glaring at Draco. Pia blushed at Draco's compliment. "Th-thank you" she stammered. Pia calm down she told herself, proceeding to nearly run into a sign planted directly in front of her, only causing her to blush even more. You're obviously known for your grace in your music, NOT on your hooves. 

 

She collected herself and read the sign that had nearly caused her a great deal of embarrassment. Then turning back to the group she spoke. "There's no use in arguing about whether or not it was Sombra at this point. We can prepare for him and in turn we'll be prepared for the worst. The most we can do now is continue up the mountain until we know more. First, however, I agree with Flare we should rest to prepare for the trek as the sign suggests"

 

And hopefully that rest will ease some tension between these two stallions as well.

Draco chuckled at the mare slightly. "I'm sorry for laughing. Oh you sing. I used to be a lounge when I went to Canterlot universaty. The place was call the Coco Bucko. Good place to start a romance. I was a singer of swing. I still sing sometimes but it's to keep my singing voice in practice," Draco said as he looked at the mare.

Flare glared at Draco again. "Show off pretty boy arent ya" Flare said mocking Draco. "You do know flattery with the girls will get you nowhere" Flare said with a smirk. "Im going to scout up ahead if i see anything ill come back down the mountain to warn you" Flare said

Pia's blush began to fade. "I compose music actually, mostly for wind ensembles and occasionally for orchestras. I do sing occasionally though. I know that place though! The Coco Bucko! Now that I think of it you do seem familiar, it was a confusing evening because I had just arrived in Canterlot for the first time but I remember you singing that night and it was magical."

Pia turned toward a very upset sounding Flare. "Maybe you should take someone with you? It seems dangerous to go alone and I would feel just awful if something happened to you".

"Im fine on my own" Flare said. "Besides its just halfway up the mountain and back how bad can it get" Flare said as he started to head up the mountain. "I will be back with anything i could find alright" Flare said as he continued up the mountain on his own accord.

"Yeesh touchy aren't you Flare?" Draco said as he shrugged "Well Pia I was called Ol' Silver Eyes on the account of my silver eyes. Anyway Pia if you ever want me to sing one of the old songs I used to do just ask," Draco said as he just sighed. "Well that is one headstrong stallio. Or is it because I'm just saying I used to sing. OOOOh this will be quite fun," Draco thought as he smiled mischiviously. Delia saw the pony going up the mountain. "please don't go up on your own. We are to stay here for the night. " Delia said as she pulled some provisions. She threw a warm coat on her that had a tag that read Made by Rarity. She started to feel a little warmer. She then started to make a little fox hole for herself and pulled out a blanket that was also provided.

"Fine ill stay" Flare said. "Also Draco i dont care if you talk to her" Flare said. "I just dont want to hear you sing it annoys me" Flare said smirking. "Anyways im going to set up my tent" Flare said as he pulled out stuff and started to make a tent. "probably should have gotten earplugs so i wouldnt have to listen to Draco" Flare mumbled as he finished making his tent "There all done"

Pia let out a sigh of relief at Flare's decision to stay.

She turned back to Draco. "I remember that song you sang, Strangers in the Night, it was beautiful and I would love to hear it sometime. Your voice takes my breath away." Pia glanced over at Flare "Perhaps another time though as it's getting late."

She turned and walked over to Delia. "I couldn't help but notice how beautiful your coat is, is that a Rarity design?"

"Hmm yes that is what the tag says. If you'll excuse me i need to sleep. I dont mean to be rude." Delia said as she trotted to a spot away from the group.

 

Delia looked around and saw all the ponies conversing. She than began to cry silently to herself. She felt so vulnerable away from her home. The thought of her family made her homesick and she wasnt sure if the ponies around her were taking to her. She buried her head in the blanket and wiped the tears as the rolled down her cheeks.

No one to comfort you," Draco said as he laid his wing onto her backhe then said to the two mares "Take my ttent tonight ladies. I'll sleep out here. I like watching the stars and moon. Flare went into his tent and layed there for a while he couldnt fall asleep at all. "Why cant i fall asleep at all" Flare said as he closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep again. "Damn cold weather...i hate staying in one place for so long...especially when i cant fall asleep for some reason" Flare mumbled to him self

Delia tried to compose herself quickly when the Pegasus came up to her. " I-I am fine, its just the snow melting on my face. Yes your land is different from mine. I have no idea whats going on. I am fine with sleeping in a hole with this jacket. It is the way of my people." She said with a false smile on her face.

"Please don't lie to me Delia I can see it in your eyes. Your eyes are red and puffy from your tears," Draco said as he used one of his wings to gentlely wipe away her tears. "So please if you ever want to talk I'll be around. Plus there's Pia and the others here. Bottling up your emotions is bad for you. I should know," Draco said with a gentle tone to his voice. He would try to help his friends whenever he can if he could.

Delia hung her head in shame. "In my land the leader should never show emotion. They should always appear to be a tower of strength." She gritted her teeth as she fought back a tear. "It is good to know people would care about a visitor such as me." She said as she continued to hang her head.

Draco looked to Pia then smiled slightly. "Looks like you two get a private concert tonight," Draco said as he looked at Pia then Delia. He coughed into his front right hoof to clear his throut. "Sorry I haven't sang a swing song in a long time so I'm alittle rusty," Draco said. He began to sing.

[Jeez, that Flare guy is a bit of a douchebag. I don't know how well the rest of the group will get along with him.]

 

Jolt paced around in a small circle, flitted his wings and laid down.

 

[This is going to be an uncomfortable night, there is rocks everywhere.]

 

Jolt shivered as the snow landed on him, turning to water on impact. Eventually, Jolt managed to drift away into the land of unconsciousness. In sleep Jolt was dead silent with no snoring and barely audible breathing.

She's so scared, I just feel so bad for her. 

 

"Come on Delia, come stay in the tent with me. I could use the company, I hate sleeping alone anyways." She turned around walking towards the tent hoping Delia would follow behind her. 

 

Hopefully the sound of Draco's singing will help everyone fall asleep. It's so soothing and we could all use the rest.

Melody put her tent up with ease but kept it away from the rest of the group. She draped a scarf around her neck and put on a light jacket before leaving her tent. Melody slipped away to a secluded area a ways away from the camp to an open area and she looked up at the moon. The cold air blew against her face sending a small chill down her spine. She took a deep breath closing her eyes before looking back up at the moon and she started to sing.

 

"Are the memories I hold still valid?
Or have the tears deluded them?

Maybe this time tomorrow,
The rain will cease to follow,
And the mist will fade into one more today

Something somewhere out there keeps calling
Am I going home?
Will I hear someone
Singing solace to the silent moon?"

 

Melody let out a sigh, kicking some snow with her hoof she made her way back to her tent and curled up inside feeling a little shiver as she drifted off to sleep slowly.

Flare left his tent and went to an area far off from where the others are at. "Great im letting my anger get the best of me" Flare said as he sat in the snow and stared at the moon. "I need to calm myself so i don't make any enemies...even if i don't like them" Flare thought as he headed back to his tent and fell asleep.

Draco noded when his song ended as he leaned against a nearby rock. "May your dreams be sweet tonight ladies," Draco said as he smiled slightly. He enjoyed helpping others. That's why he was a courier pony always helpping out even if it's alone. He looked to the stars and hummed the song once more as he enjoyed luna's nights as it inspired romance.

Pia felt more at ease when she heard the zebra's footsteps behind her. She turned and looked back over her shoulder. "Goodnight" she called to everyone. 

 

She walked into the tent and curled up tightly to keep out the cold and began drifting off to sleep.

Delia walked into the tent behind Pia. She made sure that she took up the smallest amount of room possible. "G-Goodnight Pia. I wish peaceful dreams to you." She said as she shivered a little. If i knew we would be sleeping in the cold i would have bought something warmer. she thought.
