Melody blushed when she heard Flare tell Draco that he'd protect her. She didn't know what to think, she'd never had anypony make that statement about her. "Th...thank you Flare that's sweet of you." Melody hid her face again. She was too embarrassed to look at Flare. She was still catching some of the wind as she was pulled along but not nearly as much as she would've had she been walking herself. She was very great full to have ponies around her that cared for each other. "So where exactly are we headed *cough* now Delia?"

Delia widened her eyes and blushed a little. "It is like my Father used to say: 'Don't grieve. Anything you lose comes back in another form.'" She said as she looked up at the sky. "Hmm it is snowing very lightly. I dont need protection from this." Delia said as she heard Melody speak.

"Ah yes, i suppose i should guide you all now." Delia then trotted to the front of everyone. "I have listened to the mountain. It says to go this way, for there is a treat waiting for us. 

 

Delia then led the group up a smooth but steep incline. The path was oddly smooth for a mountain and everything Delia could see ahead was normal. As she climbed the steep incline she began to reflect on many things from her past as well as the recent events within the group. Delia could be heard making strange noises and spitting away from the trail.

"Snow or no snow it's a gentlestallion's job to do something. Aw look your blushing milady," Draco said with a laugh. He hummed as he looked at the ponies "Pia want me to carry you? You look like your still cold so I'm just asking," He said as he thought to himself "Today is going to be a long day I just know it,"

Pia heard Jolt's voice and she looked in his direction, a little too excitedly. "I-I slept well thank you" She could feel her face flush and she stared at her hooves trying to hide her embarrassed expression. 

 

When Delia began to lead the party out of the cave Pia happily took her place between Draco and Jolt. She wasn't looking forward to returning to the cold, but the warmth of the pegasi's body heat and being near Jolt made it seem easier to face.

"Is she crazy how can a mountain even talk" Flare mumbled. "What are you doing it sounds like you speaking gibberish...sorry I don't know all the stuff you even do" Flare said as he stumbled a bit. "I can't show any weakness...I cant look weak either I must do what I cant to protect Melody"

Draco sighed as he looked at Flare "If you can't stand I'll help you Flare. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Melody would understand if you asked for help you know that right?" Draco said and then he said "Equestria wasn't built in a day you know,"

"I know ...thanks Draco" Flare said. "Though I have one problem...is she serious when she said that the mountain actually said something to her" Flare said. "Draco...what is the item that the person stole...was it the crystal heart...if so why would they steal it" Flare asked

Delia snapped her head back and spoke in an intimidating voice. "Believe in me what you will, There is a duty i must fulfill. You might not understand my ways-'' she stopped herself mid sentence. "Im sorry, i dont know where that came from." She said with a look of shock on her face. She then faced forward and spit a pool of blood from her mouth

"Yes it was the Crystal heart. Honestly I don't know be it for a magical ritual or to feed off of the magical energies within it. There are mysterious things in this world. If you open your ears you can hear the songs that the birds sings, feel the strength of the earth below, The heat of the blazing inferno as it ignites your passions, the flow of the water as it courses down your throat as you drink, and finally The flow of magic through out veins when we utilize our ability to control the weather. For her if I'm guessing she uses a form of meditation to make accurate directions to where we have to go," Draco explained as he walked. Then he said with a whisper into Flare's ear with a joking tone "She does have a nice plot though," Draco laughed out loud.

Flare just nodded his head then remembered. "Who would want the power from the crystal heart all it is...is just love...naw its not what i was thinking" Flare said having a thought but pushed it aside thinking its not possible at all for that to happen at all. "At least I hope not" Flare said

Delia continued spitting up blood as she continued up the mountain path. She looked back at Draco and Flare, making sure she wiped the blood away from her mouth. "How are we all doing? It should be too far now." She said as her eyes began to slowly close. Delia shook her head violently and laughed to keep herself awake.

Draco noticed red drop lets in the snow and galloped next to her "Are you alright Delia?" Draco asked with concern in his voice.  He looked her in the eyes then went ahead and stopped right infront of her "Company halt !" Draco said with an air of command around him to the other ponies. He looked right into Delia's eyes "Tell me what's wrong Delia,"

"You're lying Delia. I think it's time for you to rest on my back," Draco said firmly as he looked into her eyes. "I've been alone all my life. Plus picked up afew things along the way . "She's fine Delia" Flare aid before Draco went towards her. "I hate killing others...but if I have to then I will..." Flare said to him self remembering what Draco told him. "Break their horn and they wont use magic...or the other option" Flare walked next to Delia and Draco after hearing about the blood. "Why would you mark a path with blood anyways"

Melody just laid there quietly. She was better off not talking just so that she could let her voice rest seeing as how she was coughing so much. Melody listened in as everypony discussed their thoughts and ideas. Her heart skipped a beat upon Flare's mention of her, but was soon brought back with the talk of changelings. The prospect of having to kill somepony didn't sit well with her either Kill somepony I...I don't know if I could do that. Melody thought to herself. It was then Melody heard Delia say something to her. "I'm fine Delia the...*cough*...wind and snow aren't bothering me much. Thank you for the scarf and thank all of you for taking such good care *cough* of me. Even though I'm not being of much help right now." Melody gave a half hearted smile, watching Flare continue to pull her along.

Delia was puzzled by the last part of Draco's statement. "Into that? I am unsure of what you mean by that. Like a said before, you needn't worry about me. I just need to walk it off." Delia said. "Let us keep walking, i can see something up ahead." Delia then yelled back to Melody

"I'm curious about that too I would have used a nearby animal or something," he thought to himself.  He shrugged as he looked around he then remembered he still had his goggles on his face. Melody blushed a little, she wasn't sure what to say. She'd never really had anypony help her like this, she'd always had to do things on her own. "What exactly do we hope to find at the top Delia?" Melody wondered. She looked over to Flare, feeling her heart skip a beat or two. I wonder what will happen once we get up there? Perhaps I'll get to spend more time with Flare. Melody thought to herself giggling a little.

Flare overheard Melody asked Delia about what we are finding at the top. "She does have a point there what do we hoep we find at the top of the mountain" Flare thought a bit as he remembered about the changelings. "I thought they were gone cause of last time when they tried to invade Equestria" Flare said quietly.

Delia's body shook a little as she was walking. "I can see a formation of steam up ahead. That means there is a hot spring just up ahead. There we will relax for you see, my people believe that hot springs are a remedy for whatever might ail us." She said as she held back a fury of emotions and pain.
