"Wheres that Draco at? We need muscle for this one!" Apollo said as he began bucking at the cocoon and slashing his horn against it.

 

"Try not to look inside the cocoons either. your hearts might not be able to handle it."

Apollo heard Draco and moved aside. "Hopefully you have more luck-" He was cut off at the sight of Draco cutting through cocoon layer like it was butter. "Good, keep it up and quickly. I can feel her life force. Its almost gone!" He said as his horn illuminated.

Flare turned around and saw the same shadow zip past him again. "Draco...hurry cause we are not alone" Flare said wishing he can use his wing as a weapon...or use magic also. "Mel....stay out there please...and make sure you stay sage where you are at" Flare said

The next cut was diagonal in an x formation. He knew how to cut these and when the middle was there he added a third and final cut  weakening the cocoon enough to where Delia can fall into Draco's awaiting back. "I know that. Don't worry I got this," rao said as he sliced once more into the cocoon. "Done that should do it,"

Melody nodded as she saw the shadowy figure fly around a few more times. Melody wanted to try and find a safe place but she was getting the feeling like there was something watching her now as well. "Flare.....Flare I think we're surrounded." Melody didn't want to move but she was to worried about the rest of the group. "Hurry up everypony we need to leave quickly!"

Delia fell out of the cocoon. Her body was limp and she made no movement nor a sound.

"Wait.. she's not responding!" Apollo yelled as he put his horn close to Delia. "Theres no pulse, no brain activity, nothing!" Apollo stepped back from the scene and put his hoof on Draco. "I'm sorry, I will make sure she gets the proper burial." He said.

"No, no, no, no" Draco whispered as he looked at his beloved he walked to her and nuzzled her "I'm sorry," Draco said with tears in his eyes. His eyes turned dead he wanted revenge now. His heart now frozen solid. No more mercy None what so ever.  "I'll slaughter them," Draco said his voice was as cold as the High hrothgar mountain. "I'll tear out their throats one by one,"

Flare rushed out to Melody. "Don't worry I got you" Flare said as he looked around. "We better not be surrounded I can fight but we got to protect Delia when Draco comes out with her" Flare said as he kept surveying his surroundings. "I won't let anything happen to you Mel"

Melody watched as Flare jumped in front of her and protected her from anything that might be brought to harm her. "Thank you Flare but you shouldn't worry about me. I know a bit of self defense, so I should be just fine." Melody turned and stood next to Flare looing in the opposite direction. "You should make sure everything's ok inside the house Flare."

Draco began to laugh coldly as he began to walk out continued to laugh. He walked out as he looked at the enemy with his cold dead eyes. He flared out his wings once more sharpening them. He licked his teeth. "Little changelings come on out I've got something for you," Draco said as his voice was still cold as ice right now. In his eyes through the cold was the fires with in his soul. That was the fires of revenge.

"Draco and Apollo got it covered in there and also...Draco is a bit pissed right now" Flare said as he saw a changeling come from a different house. "Great...now they come out" Flare said as he stared at the changeling. "Let's hope he is the only one that is here right now...and no others appear" Flare said as he noticed Draco acting...crazy?

Delia's body started to float. It wiggled the hind part and floated all the way outside. "Oh I'm Delia, I want to sacrifice myself to save my friends." Delias mouth moved to the words. A figure appeared from behind Delia's body.

Draco glared at the changeling queen with his eyes. He waited for the right moment to attack. He followed slowly as he glared. He was now alone completely alone.  Nothing held him back now as he advanced on Chrysalis. "I made a death oath on your and your species Chrysalis. Be prepared to face your sins,"

"Chrysalis...why are you doing this" Flare asked a bit shooken by looking at her...then his attitude changed. "All you bucking do is steal life from other ponies...and you even do that to fillies also...that's just sick Chrysalis...and I bucking hate you" Flare said as he got closer than her. "You are a heartless changeling...no even worse your nothing but a husk" Flare said.

Chrysalis laughed at ponies' words and threw Delias body to the ground. "Aww, what's the matter? Couldn't save your precious zebra here? You know why don't you? You are weak and insignificant. Also, i dont care who the victims were..I have all that i need fo my plans." She cackled as she blasted the vicinity with a knockback spell. "well bye for. I have other issues to attend to." She echoed as she disappeared.

Melody saw Chrysalis from behind Delia's body. The sight of such a powerful creature made her hide behind Flare. It was then that Melody notice Delia wasn't moving at all. "F...Flare, Delia....she....she's not moving..." Melody's eyes started to tear up, her legs gave way and she collapsed on the ground. "No she can't be....she just can't. Why did this have to happen....GIVE HER BACK!!!" Melody screamed up at Chrysalis.

 

(OOC: end this on a happy note. I feel it's getting really dark all of a sudden.)

"No bucking way" Flare said being pushed back a bit and tried to attack her but missed. "You know...I was fine before but what she did...she deserves to die...and for more reasons then one...and I wanna be the one to kill her" Flare said with a tone of anger and sadness in his voice. "I will get revenge for the foals and fillies that died be cause of her" Flare said

((Happy note)) Draco sliced a nearby house killing  a changeling by beheading it. "One. The next one will be yours little queenie," Draco said as he looked to Delia's body his eyes now held sorrow. He walked to the body and began to heart wrenchingly sob.  He didn't care what the other's thought of him at this point he lost his loved one.

Apollo watched as the group reacted to the death of their leader. Reminds me of my tour with the Guards. Can't believe im going to do this. Apollo approached Delias body and put his hooved lightly on her head and her chest. He then began chanting in Swahili and moving his head. A warm wind blew across the snow covered mountain and goldenrod colored particles ascended to the skies above.

Draco just walked away after that. He wanted to be alone. His heart broken as tears stained his cheeks. "Damn it, Damn it, DAMN IT!"Draco yelled out as he sliced a nearby house. His tears fell onto the ice cold snow. He didn't want to be alone anymore. But no Draco fucking O'Malley can never have something or some pony to himself to love and cherish.

Flats went over to Melody. "Melody...its not your fault" Flare said trying to comfort Melody but still felt like yelling. "All these ponies...they didnt deserve this...they didn't deserve to die" Flare mumbled. "If I can't get vengeance for these ponies then I don't deserve to live in a world like this" Flare said.

As Apollo finished his last sentence a face of a zebra appeared in the sky.

 

It seems one of our own gave their life to save you all. She is with us in the heavens now, yet you call us to the mortal realm. Judging by all of your reactions to her death, you want her back? Prove to me that you deserve her. 

 

The face in the skies boomed so that everypony in the group could here.

 

Apollo then tuned to the group. "you heard the deity. Explain why Delia should live once more. Be careful what you say to a god."

Melody felt Flare holding her close as she let her tears stream down her face. She couldn't fathom the loss she was enduring. The first true friend she ever had was gone and some gods were wanting an explanation for her return. Melody looked up at them with tears in her eyes still. "Please she was my friend.....a friend to all of us. She was a lover for another pony in our group. We just want to see her smiling face and....and....we all love her!" Melody put her head on the cold ground, it's iciness doing nothing to subdue the pain in her heart. "Please I beg of you....give her back to us....please...please....please...." Melody begged. She wanted nothing more than tosee her friend return to them at that point in time.

Draco walked in slowly looking at the god. He said "Aye what they said. But why I want her alive well may sound selfish but for once I want to be. I want her alive because I love her truly love her. "I'd sacrifice everything to have her back.  To become the dew that quenches the land

"I have heard enough. It seems that Delia was right to trust you Ponies. Normally i would require something in exchange for the return of a Zebra to this realm. However,I am feeling generous. Here you go and be wary of your mission. Don't let this happen again."

 

The Deities voice boomed as a stream of goldenrod forcefully flowed down onto Delia's limp body.The stream was warm as the snow around Delia's body melted. Air flowed into Delia's lungs and she awoke violently. Apollo moved next to her to check if the process worked.  

"Taste the wrath of the Zebra!" Delia yelled as she bucked Apollos face.

"Ow my face! Well at least-" Apollo was cut off by the Deities voice commanding him to leave the group as he was needed elsewhere. 

"Just keep going to the summit. there you will find the crystal heart!" Apollo said as he teleported away.

Delia panted as the memories of how she died rushed into her head. It was obvious that she was in a lot of mental pain. Tears streamed down her eyes as she hit the ground with her hoof.
