Dinky Doo Character Question

I'm on the 7th, also have to say the final, chapter of my Derpy Delivers a Pizza story, and I could use some help.  With Derpy, the character was relatively easy to research by reading several pieces out there, as well as the 4 levels of "Derpness" on the character wiki site.  Sadly, i'm having a bit of trouble envisioning Dinky and her character. 

 

I don't want to make Dinky into the "perfect child" sort of foal/filly, but at the same time I don't want her to be a complete brat. 

 

What are your thoughts about Dinky's personality, traits, mannerisms, and the like?

 

Note: Just as an FYI, this story doesn't call into question if Dinky is Derpy's kid, if she's just taking care of Dinky, she's Dinky's aunt, etc.... For all intent and purpose, i'm saying that Dinky is Derpy's daughter, and the father is absent.  As to who the father is in the story, I have to say that as the author I don't know, kind of bad of me .  He doesn't make an appearence in the story nor do I reference him in anyway since this is "Derpy's" story with cameo appearences by others.

Hm idk, I would think that having derpy as a parent she would either be very shy, or maybe just kinda stuck up or bratty, but idk.

 

To be honest I'm not really an expert on derpy's personality either, so I'm not sure how qualified I am for this, just my suggestion, i saw dinky portrayed as shy in one fanfic, thats all i really know.

I think she would be a bit like Sweetie Belle. Maybe less of a cryer, but I think they would be similar.

Thanks for the info, this should help out.  I had her pegged as that "emotional, devoted" daughter that will always do the right thing.  It looks like i'm on the right track with that idea, but some scenes i'll scale back.  She's mostly the common sense to Derpy's ill conceived ideas in the story, such as when Derpy tried to use a blow torch to melt the cheese on her sandwich.  Dinky was kind share her sandwich with Derpy to give the grey pegasus a bit of comfort.
