planning Ponyfinder [PnP, Homebrewing]

Hello everyone! Before I start, this is not quit the same deal as other DND/Pathfinder topics in here, but I still kind of want to give it a shot. No sense not to try it out, so here I am.

 

So, what I have in mind:

-An RPG, obviously.

-Pathfinder gaming system.

-Using the awesome Roll20 for roleplaying purposes. (The virtual tabletop site, it’s free)

 

But first, one thing has to be done. Homebrewing. There is no way one person can rule out a game, so it will be balanced. IT needs feedback. That’s the problem the set of rules for Pathfinder which is floating around the net at the moment. It’s ridiculously overpowered to Pegasi. And there are not that much about anything else.

 

So, what I wanted to do in {Planning} is shape out general rules for all races, little things and bobs and when start a campaign? Good plan? Bad plan, but I will try anyway.

 

So, is anyone interested? 

 

So far i'm analyzing the book which states rules for making characters, yadayada. Planning to do a little rulesets for following:

Earth ponies

Pegasi

Unicorns

Lesser Alicorns

Changelings

Zebras

Griffons

I'm not writing anything in programming. Basic Rulesset, you know. You can find them on EqD. Google, Ponyfinder EqD

Well I'd be interested in trying this out, however I have no real knowledge of Pathfinder or tabletop gaming rules....

Throw in a race of Mecha ponies and you've got yourself a deal (it's okay if you don't but I already have character who is a mecha/automaton pony, semi-generated from another forum)! I may need lotsa help with my character sheet though, my PDF was being a butt and kinda forgot everything I typed down on it. Which made me cranky and give up trying ponyfinder for a good few weeks.

 

I'm hoping to go for a Gun Tank based mainly on long range attacks with a musket and the use of a tower shield to minimize/nullify damage and protect other when needed.

Mecha ponies? Autonoms eh? Steampunk kind of or soul in the box kind of? I mean, it's the same thing but a little bit different.

Yeah, the other Ponyfinder I was doing on the Canterlot forums featured a mecha pony, course it wouldn't be anything like a gundam.

 

As for what type, ehhhh, I'd say probably a mixture of steampunk and soul in the box, if by that you mean a soul being linked to a mechanical body. From there I could (almost) literally turn him into an actual tank: heavy armor plating, tower shield, and a buckler and musket. I got an almost complete character list-...wait that was going by their house rules. Which means I would have to completely reconstruct him minus the rolls (unless you would rather me reroll again, but given the nature of the Gun Tank, it would need focus on at least 4 stats, and I'd prefer to just import the rolls and redistribute them as needed), based on whatever racial bonus you decide to give Mecha ponies, what level we're starting at, and how many bits.

 

Truly, there is no rest for the wicked.
