Zygen 6,066 March 25, 2013 Share March 25, 2013 You have a basically two choices, you can use a pony creator such as this one. http://generalzoi.deviantart.com/art/Pony-Creator-Full-Version-254295904 Orr. you can draw one in a drawing program from scratch. I tend to use the generator and then edit it and draw it from that afterwards. Only problem with the generator is your limited a bit in options overall. You can't do custom mane styles. Still its good to get an idea of how you want your OC to look. Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Are there any particular drawing programs you reccomend? The only thing I'd say to add really is if you wanna change the mane style or something. I can't think of to much else you'd want to add but even then you don't have to, I didn't bother really. New mane styles can be difficult to make. As for drawing programs I use GIMP personally, but thats just me, i don't really know to much about other programs to be honest, anything basically besides Microsoft paint is good enough, GIMP or Photoshop is probably good ones, or maybe Paint SAI. I just use GIMP personally because I'm use to it and I like it. Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! With a throttle. Anyway, I like making one in the aforementioned pony creator, and then trying to get other people to draw them for me, because I'm lazy and suck at drawing. Castle Bleck 19,366 March 26, 2013 Share March 26, 2013 Unfortunately, my computer became stuck in an infinite bootscreen loop about a month and a half ago, so I can neither upload a digital drawing nor use the pony creator for the time being. Does anyone know anymore options for an OC's physical appearance, or can I just describe the appearance using text? LeJAKoJAK 49 March 28, 2013 Share March 28, 2013 Well, if you don't have access to your computer, you could do one of a few things. 1. Look up pony drawing tutorials on your Ipod, and draw them on paper until your compy gets fixed. 2. Borrow a friends laptop. 3. Describe a character with text. You can always describe the OC with text. Right now, if you look at my signature, you'll see that my OCs don't have a picture, just text. If your OC doesn't have a back story, you should make one. It could help in describing the looks of the OC and give you more opportunities to draw him doing different things. I hope this helps! 1 OC: Pinoak Stringhoof, Puppeteer and storyteller. As for my OC, I'm considering making him an alicorn, but in order to prevent unoriginal Gary-Stu-ness, I'm giving him a catch: he's extremely brilliant, yet just as lazy, similar to Shikamaru Nara from Naruto.
