gaming Katamari Damacy

So, today I drove up to WSU and checked out a big garage sale they had at the colosseum (colosseum sale?). And just as we were about to leave, I spotted a game that I had to have.

Katamari Damacy

 

Now, I've known about this game, but it's hard to come by if it isn't from the internet.  So I bought it in a heartbeat.  Judging by the cover, you can tell the game is going to be a bit strange... but that doesn't even begin to describe it.

I find so many small things in this game so odd.  Like your father and his rainbow beam coming from his mouth, or the strange dialogue.  The controls are also a bit odd to start off with using both analogue sticks for direction.  But the game makes up for itself in it's addicting gameplay.  You take your Katamari, and make it bigger by rolling whatever you can.

 

Another plus is the memorable soundtrack.  Some of you might recognize this song here...

I give it an 8.5/10.

Yeah, I played it.

 

It's extremely weird, probably the weirdest game I have ever played period!

 

The story of the king being drunk and destroying the stars, the weird but memorable soundtrack, the various graphic characters.

 

But I like it!

 

My personal favorite song of all time from this series has to be this one right here!

There is a few Katamari games:

Katamari Damacy (PS2)

We Love Katamari (PS2)

Me and My Katamari (PSP)

Beautiful Katamari (Xbox 360)

Katamari Forever (PS3)

Touch My Katamari (PS Vita)

And I have yet to play one I didn't like. So I recommend all of these. Even the ones I haven't played. This series is AWESOME
