"There is no need for you to scout ahead," Acheron told Dimitri. "There is nothing you will find out there that I haven't seen already. The only new things you'd encounter there are probably more bandits and maybe more of the Seneschal cultist, which would not be good for you as powerful as you may be..."

Delia was surprised to this pony. "I vaguely remember you. Also, you needn't worry about the blood. Its just evil escaping..I think thats what my people said...I'm not sure anymore." She said to the pony. In Delia's head she was going over what had happened and all she could think was how her people would have handled it.

Sarah looked into Delia's eyes "Get inside young lady before I drag you in there by your ear got it," she said her voice stern and her eyes held that kind of motherly glint when a child did a bad thing like burn part of the carpet. She began to walk towards the manor with Delia in tow.

Dimitri looked at Acheron. "Due time isn't good enough for me..." He gave a huff. "Tell the others I'll be back soon enough. If there's petty criminals out in the desert I'll be going there. Killing something will make me feel anything besides pain at least. If I encounter any cultists....let us just say that I'll be fine. I feel the need to take a life in the most excruciating way possible. I want to feel the weight of bone crushing, and snapping under me. If these cultists are too scared to fight me honorable, then I'll be forced to become something else. All for her..."

 

He whispered the last part as he walked off towards the train station.

Delia quickly snapped out of her thought to address the pain she felt in her ear. "Kuacha kuwa! I will obey..you know the way you pinch my ear reminds me of my village Shaman." She said as she felt another pool of blood coming up. As it came up she quickly covered her mouth to trap the blood.She proceeded to swallow the blood as she was dragged along. Diamond...Draco...I love one more than the other but- Her thought process was cut off by more pain from her ear.

"There is obviously not much love for me here, so I'll be coming along with you just for the hell of it," Acheron said as he pulled out a scroll.

"First though..."

Acheron spawned a shadowy claw and began to write, leaving neat cursive writing as opposed to the mysterious way he had written in inside his tomes. The scroll simply read the following:

"Appaloosa. Meet us there when you're ready."

Acheron rolled up the scroll and left it on the porch of the mansion.

"Good girl now get inside I'll brew that tea for you. And oh your Draco's friend aren't you," she said to Dimitri with a kindly smile. "Would you like some tea also I hear it helps calm the mind. And I can see your troubled by something," she said as she looked into Dimitri's eyes. She then looked at Acheron and said "You too get inside and have some tea,"

"No thanks. I was just leaving." Dimitri's eyes coldly stared at Sarah. "Better go and help the others though. Best to not involve yourself with me." He turned back around and started to walk off with Acheron. "I appreciate the company. Better than being alone and going crazy out in the barren landscape. At least we can clear the land of impurities. Kill off any threats." He said neutrally to Acheron. "Could use some practice. Hearing screaming would benefit me too." He chuckled ominously.

Acheron stayed behind and called out to Dimitri.

"I don't mean to slow you down, but I do believe it would be better to clear our minds before heading out. Its better to have our minds clear so that we won't make stupid mistakes you know..."

Sarah looked at Acheron and said tersely "Excuse me?" She grabbed onto his ear and pulled him inside  "How dare you speak to me like that you rude pony," "I bet your the type of pony who would steal years of hard work through your magic alone," she said off handedly.

Dimitri witnessed Acheron get dragged into the manor by the mare and he stared blankly at the manor doors. "This better be incredibly damn fast..." He thought to himself as he trudged after the two. "Wasting my precious time. Useless, feeble minded weaklings. I pray I can contain my anger until we are at least in the desert. This group work is disgusting."

Sarah sighed as he handed Delia a cup of tea. then one to Dimitri which help a draft of jasmine in it to calm the nerves. Then one to Acheron "Your tone Simple as that. Anyhow your not denying the second part of what I said. You know that is a criminal offence. and as a officer of the law. I'll need to punish you myself if I find out that you did," she said plainly as she pulled out a cat of nine tails. "You know my husband showed me something quite amazing once,"

Acheron merely chuckled at Sarah's confident display of authority.

"You could say it is in my nature to horde all knowledge to myself, in whatever way I see best."

Acheron produced several dark grimoires and held them up using his green aura before making them vanish.

"You aren't the first to do this, and you certainly won't be the last. Now, aside from the general pleasantries, do you have anything I HAVEN'T heard or seen, or did you just drag me here to show off?"

Sarah sighed as she pulled out two runes and said "See these two runes here. Of course you do. These runes were made for your type. Greedy for knowledge. The first rune is to paralyze you second is to make you forget everything you've recently learned and destroy the things that pertain to that knowledge Tell me Mr. hoarder If I shove this up your  ass what sound will you make,"

Delia sipped on the tea as she listened to the conversation. "Hmm so you are law here for this culture? Very interesting." She said as she closely leaned to Sarah. "I wouldnt waste my time on them. they arent worth the effort." She whispered in sarahs ear so that no pony else would hear.

Dimitri rolled his, now darkly shaded, eyes. "Is this what you're wasting my time on? A feeble attempt to scare using the power of the law? Reminds me of the old guard in my home country after the totalitarian dictator took over. Used the same equipment. I didn't come to this country to be treated like this. If you have anything of worth to say, then you say it. If not, then I'll be leaving. I'm sick of this waiting, and I'm sick of you damn Equestrian ponies. I thought this culture respected a stallion as much as my old country did. Apparently I was wrong."

 

Dimitri's eyes shone purple. "Do not obstruct me. You will not keep me from saving her."

Acheron quickly whispered strange words which sent a burst of red energy in the form of a serpent towards the runes. The red snake sapped the runes of their power and crumbled them to dust.

"Of course I have," Acheron said coldly, now fully on guard as his dark magic emanated from his body. "One does not simply seek knowledge without knowing the dangers and many things used to obstruct such gains."

Acheron chuckled.

"But you are mislead my dear 'lady'. I never obtain such knowledge and use it to cause harm. What prompted my desire for it, for power, was my traitorous allies' false claim of godhood. They literally enslaved the people's minds and made them believe in and do... heinous things, immoral things ... I seek it to ensure no one will ever harm me again, and that I will have a means of stopping those who would hurt me or others."

Acheron now looked her straight in he eyes and used his magic to produce unextended knowledge drain tendrils.

"Think first mare, would Celestia be stupid enough to pick someone who uses the knowledge I have for harm? I do not appreciate being threatened, and if you or anyone dares try to harm me, I'll be more than happy to suck your mind dry and turn you into nothing more than a bound wraith!"

Delia laughed and shook her head at the Ponies words. This stallion must be confused. she thought as she sipped on her tea some more.

"Haha! Ms. Sarah, this tea is divine. I also like the way you handle stallions." Delia said with smirk on her face. "Can i ask you something Sarah?" Before she wait for an answer, one of the stallions lashed out at Sarah. Yeesh, this would never happen in my culture. We actually respect each other. "It seems i learn something new each day about THIS culture and its people." She said after her thought.

 

Delia continued to sit, sipping on her tea. Stopping when she heard Sarah mentioning she used to be a leader of the generals.

Dimitri stared coldly at Sarah. "The fact that you even keep mentioning her name sickens me. She is in agony. I heard her cries for help, and seen her suffering. The Seneschal didn't corrupt me. They just helped me see the truth. Something I've known for a long time. The thing about me is that I won't die. Not as long as she needs me. I'm not my wife, and I have my own ways. Once I save her she will understand what I did to do it. I'll do anything if it means saving her, and I won't be stopped by your words or anypony else's."

 

He got up from sitting. "I'll burn everything in my way. I'll kill anything that attempts to stop me. You can't stop me."
