Pinkie Pie's Side-Kicks

So this is an idea I had for Pinkie Pie  and I wanted to see if anyone else agrees with this idea. Does anyone think Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake should be Pinkies side-kicks?

 

I thought this was going to happen in season 2 and 3. That Pinkie Pie was going to bring the Cake twins around and show them all the things in Equestria. Not everything, but show them around their new world.  Now this did not happen a lot in season 2 and weren't seen that much in season 3. I feel like they could have been a big help in the To Many Pinkie Pie episode. That these 2 could easily find the real Pinkie Pie in a crowds of clones. 

 

Now Pound and Pumpkin have something that gives them in advantage when it comes to episodes. They are young and everything is new to them. Not to mention they are very intelligent so they would understand things well. So we could look at other kinds of holidays or events that take place in Ponyville or all around in Equestria. Now you could give that to the CMC, but most likely they have done events before in Ponyville and would not be explained to well. Now the CMC could have the Crystal Empire, because it's a new area and they may have other customs from the other ponies. 

 

Another thing the twins could do is help Pinkie Pie out. Let me explain. A lot of people said, for season 3 Pinkie Pie was more out of control then other times. Maybe if Pound and Pumpkin are around is some of her episodes, she may act more stable and not be to crazy. I like crazy Pinkie Pie, but she chill ever now and again. 

 

I feel this way because if Rainbow Dash can have Scootaloo in her episodes now, why can't Pinkie Pie have the twins in some of hers?

 

So does anyone else like this idea?

I think this'd be fun, and would work well from a narrative point of view. When introducing new elements to the show/building the world, the twins know as much as we do about certain things, and we'd be able to learn with them. I really enjoyed their episode, and I hope they get some good screen time in season 4.

 

And if I dare to dream, that as the series goes on they don't stay as babies for too many years to come. Might just be me but I like the concept that we get to watch two characters develop starting from birth...and if they become fully realized characters someday then it'll be all the more fun to go back and watch them derp around as babies.

I doubt they'd make it a frequent focus of the show, as the CMC sort of provide the younger characters to dwell on.

Well the idea could work, but only if the writers age the twins and of course if their destines are to work in Sugarcube corner when they get older. To what the Chrystal Heat Book has, the twins are still in their baby forms. Still who knows how contacted the book is to the show?

 

Yes the CMC are the younger characters of the show, but I feel at times the CMC get kinda old. If they do something it's to get a cutie mark and most likely fail at it. While Pound and Pumpkin would just do it for fun and not gain anything out of it. I'm not saying they need to be more episodes like the CMC, but maybe just add more to the world.
