Luna going makes sense to me, if only because reading the comics has made her seem a little more of the militant, 'go get them' of the two princesses.

 

What I imagined a second before typing this was that after the Mane 6 (and whoever else that wasn't a princess who for some reason is going) are zapped here, Celestia might suggest sending another, more experienced Princess through after them to act as both a Guardian to the 6, and possibly an emissary to whatever creatures inhabit the other world, be they sentient.

 

Going with what I said above - my seeing Luna as the action-oriented, sort of 'actions speak louder than words!' character, she'd volunteer to be sent through to watch over the 6. She guides the dreams of all Equestria, what could be so hard about guiding them otherwise? Plus, it would be a good opportunity for her to become more integrated to modern pony society (plus I just like the idea of her in our world).

 

The emissary bit is the only reason I can imagine for Cadence going through. She'd likely be more diplomatic - and charismatic - than Luna should it come down to that.

 

The main excuse I can think of for Shining going would be Luna or Cadence suggesting he goes, for some reason relating to his rank.

So i am guessing Chrysalis and Avarice are going to have a little encounter? Which means Chrysalis is going to have to i dunno... repel him or something? I don't foresee their encounter ending well but anyways. What i want to say is that changelings are probably going to have to face a lot of things.

Now what the changelings can do.

War Compensation.
Best Psychologists? ((I dunno i reject this cause they caused it))
Best Actors... a revolution in Equestrian Thespians.
Cute little changeling orphans? ((Adopt a changeling today!! But that could be later))
The Immersion problem? ((After a long time of changelings trying to adapt in pony society having left Chrysalis due to her failures they believe they are the masks they wear))
Guardians/Alliance with ponies ((Changelings will build outposts all over Equestria and help establish an information network that will help everyone. As well as act as guardians or whatever else))
Cultural Exchange ((Queen Chrysalis invites ponies to her cities as part of intellectual, cultural, artistic, magical exchange))
The Quest for release ((Queen Chrysalis and her changelings must not co-operate to find the long-sought salvation from their curse.))
Justice by the Emotionless ((After being dragged back to Equestria Justus faces judgement within a dream by three ancient Changeling Rulers? Or generally faces judgement by a team of changelings that feel no emotion thus have completely un-impaired judgement.))
Judgement of the Queen ((The Queen accepts her judgement and takes responsibility for her actions. She asks for no mercy but promises to help Equestria regardless should they promise to spare her kind))

Queen and Changelings in a reboot? I dunno... probably would play Queen Chrysalis again... but i would have to be given some guidelines if you want her evil or not. Mostly because i doubt her plan would succeed in an alien world.

Questions now. 

What happens to those who have participated but have left? Aka what happens with Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy. What happens with their relationships. What happens with the Queen and David, what happens with the agents chasing us? What happens with Luna?

Oh btw... i'd love to play Luna if you want... just saying...

Please answer quickly as time that i have a pc here is running short.

Avarice, when she first appeared (way way back, before Luna became Nightmare Moon, but after Discord was defeated the first time) she allied with the changelings. So it could be that the changelings are forced to honour that alliance... could be interesting. O_o

Damned good idea, 00! I can make it so that Avarice and Chrysalis team up to wreak havoc and send the Mane6, along with a few OCs to the human world, just like last time!

 

With the Equestrians being scattered about, it would make perfect sense to send Luna, as I image she'd be the the most powerful Alicorn after Celestia.

 

She could also somehow keep in contact with her sister via dreams as well, in order to keep whosoever plays Celestia, Cadence, and possibly Shining Armor active, and in the loop. That way, if either of the two latter Equestrians decide to take the trip, they can! That'll also be the perfect chance for the other royal can be the other emissary.

To be honest, I'd like to see the Changelings be antagonistic in the reboot. To be honest, I didn't much care for the "reformed" Chysalis, as she just seemed to be regressed to a childlike state.

 

As Pripyat said earlier, Chrysalis could be forced to honor a deal made long ago with Avarice or something… Perhaps opening the dimensional door could require more than one being with magic, and Avarice forces Chrysalis to open it with her?

 

The positions of Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rarity will be opened so a new player can fill them. Also, I'll add a few more positions for humans, so there'll be a few new Finders as well.

 

Since this is a reboot, I'll be changing who finds who, so relationships will no doubt change as well. So in short, Chrysalis will end up with someone else… David never happened.

 

And 00Pony will be playing Princess Luna.

I think I want to make another character for the coming RP. I was going to use my existing OC pony and change the backstory, but I was kinda getting tired of her look and name. I was thinking of a white pony with white and mint coloured hair. Now I'll need to figure out a name and cutie mark. Think y'all could offer suggestions?

So I've got Luna... A heavily revamped Logan (and a companion character to him - in the same style as Angie being a companion character, but isn't the same relationship)... A new Finder that should give whoever she finds an interesting initial experience in our world... And possibly another Finder, depending on how any slots are open (one way I imagine of bringing this guy in without his needing to find his own pony, would be that he has some sort of connection or relationship to one of the other Finders slated to find their own pony, if anyone is up for coordinating on that.) Seems I'm primarily human this time around. Unless for some reason Changings go through as well. Then I might bring a far more antagonistic Diliges, if necessary.

The first thing that popped to mind upon seeing 'mint' was a mint related name, but not one so stereotypical like peppermint or spearmint (I did have to google for this) and what I found was Corsica, with the possibility of the nick name Corrie. Cutie mark, I have no idea for, because I don't know what the character is like or is skilled in.

 

That's just my suggestion.

@00Pony, I feel like that could work, but the nickname sounds like a stereotypical Asian saying Collie. I might still use it though. As for cutie marks, I might stick with the mint theme, though backstory won't matter all too much since I hardly ever stick to one anyway

Hah, honestly did not think of it that way. My mind was more 'It could be short for Coraline' or something (and as a human sounding nickname, it would fit being on Earth)*

*Speaking of, that was actually something that irked me a little about the last one; the ponies going by their own names in our world most of the time (especially Dash on the internet, but that was amusing enough).

Granted, it was mainly among each other and the Finders, and there were a few instances where a Finder dubbed a pony with a human name in front of strangers, but it still got under my skin like a Flood Infection Form.

 

That's something I'm going to probably push for with my Finders this time around, as in, I'm going to probably have them insist on referring to their respective pony charges by human monikers when among the public, only calling them by their actual names when it's just them, or with other Finders and Ponies. This would probably annoy the Ponies, but meh.

@, @@Hypn0ticD, Well, Avarice is a very nasty piece of work herself, so I figured that she'd make it so that if Chrysalis tries to refuse to honour the alliance, it causes horrendious pain to both herself and the rest of the Hive. O_o Of course, any changeling who's become a Flutter Pony would be free from this, so honouring the alliance would cause the Hive to be split. I was planning on Cicada becoming a Flutter Pony in the sequel; this seems to be a sort of cross between a reboot and a sequel, so perhaps Cicada could have shown selflessness and kindness, and therefore been transformed? It would be natural then that she'd go to the ponies for help after Avarice forces the alliance, along with any other changelings who've been transformed. That could be how the Princesses find out about the time door having been opened!

 

So... I'm gonna play as Claire, as Avarice, as Cicada and also as my OC Diego. I feel that he'd get on with Rainbow and Pinkie to some extent, cuz he loves pranking other ponies, but they wouldn't have much patience with his other traits. XD

Sorry for the wait, everyone, but here's what I have so far! I'm gonna work on it some more before I post it in a new Searching thread, but tell me what you think if it so far!

 

An Unexpected Trip to the Human World (Reboot)

 

Trottingham City Hall houses a secret. Locked in a vault and under heavy guard is a painting that is most unusual. It is said that this painting is not a painting at all, but houses an evil being called Avarice-- a being whose sole purpose was to cause mayhem and mischief, until it was defeated and sealed away by the Celestial Sisters long ago…

 

Princess Twilight is sent on royal duty to meet up with the elder Princesses, as well as the mayor of Trottingham,to plan help plan out the next Summer Sun Celebration. Not being the type to let their friend go alone, Twilight's court also go along to help plan things out!

 

Unbeknownst to the masses however, is a Princesses hold a secret meeting with the mayor, however, and Twilight is made aware of Avarice. She is told of the havoc she dealt, and how Celestia and Luna were forced to seal her away into to painting the mayor now guards.

 

Twilight is also made aware that Avarice will be transferred to Canterlot Castle after the celebration, as she will be under a more heavy guard.

All went well with the planning, and after a long day of planning, sorting, and formalities, it looks like this year's Summer Sun Celebration is going to be the biggest yet! But for now, it's time for everypony to turn in.

 

Unbeknownst to all however, there is something stirring within the walls of the town hall…

 

Somehow, Avarice breaks free if the painting, and wastes no time in dealing with the guards before disappearing into the night …

 

The mayor informs the Princesses as soon as he could, and in turn, Twilight informs her friends, but is left clueless as to where to start looking…

 

They need not look far, however, as Avarice makes her return with none other than Queen Chrysalis. The Mane6 go to stop the queen and Avarice, but they are magically knocked back.

 

Before they even got the chance, the Mane6, along with a few unfortunate souls are caught in a powerful spell before all goes black…

There's just nothing that can be said of everyday life. Nothing really exciting about it, nothing really special or magical in any way. Life for a human is banal, at best.

 

The day is just like any other, when suddenly, the sky goes black, lighting strikes all around, trapping you in place!

 

Just as soon as the storm appears, it disappears, leaving the day as it was… were it not for the person lying unconscious before you.

 

You manage to wake them, but things don't seem any better, as they keep going on about someplace called Equestria, and how they were attending something called the Summer Sun Celebration.

 

Before long however, they have you convinced that they are not just some ordinary cosplayer, and that they have to get home!

It is like a magical oath with the consequences being unimagineable pain and death to Purgatory levels. You don't joke with a Geas. It's kinda like what Aragorn and the Oathbreakers did. Perhaps maybe worse.

Or it could be something like Discord's "Discordance" of the mane 6 making them grey. Allow me to explain... It could be called "Reverse".

 

Reverse would be a phenomenon created by Dracoeniqui, in which a pony loses his/her soul, and his/her energy becomes Avarice's If a Reverse pony fights another and they win, the car loser will also become Reversed, Reverse fighters are only challenging strong individuals in order to gain strength in quality, though sheer numbers are also boasted.

 

Reverse fighters become malicious and obsessed with something their normal selves wanted but in much more extremes, for example, Trixie's revenge on Twilight, Nightmare Moon's enemity with Celestia and her obsession with eternal night or like the Inspiration Manifestation or Nightmare Rarity perhaps even a little combo from Sombra's Dark Magic. In addition, due to their personality change, their attitude also changes as they are much stronger than before. If they lose, they are returned to normal, and they will have no memory of what happened while they were reversed and, more importantly, who reversed them to begin with thus non-reversed characters have very little to go on when looking for clues. In a very rare occasion, they will retain core personality traits relating to their natural selves.

 

How does this sound? She gets defeated but even though her desires are directed she is still herself in one way or another. She acts evil and cannot be convinced to do otherwise unless defeated.

I prefer the geis, for the simple reason that due to the Hive Mind, Chrysalis would not only experience her own pain when Avarice activates the geis, but also hear the screams of agony from all the changelings affeccted. Since she cares for her changelings, she'd be forced to agree to help Avarice. In return, Avarice could give her new powers, but using them causes the Reverse affect. So it would be a gradual process.

 

There would be a few changelings who'd become Flutter Ponies, including Cicada. These Flutter Ponies would remain with the Hive, due to ponykind not accepting them cuz of their former association and also their lack of cutie marks; Flutter Ponies retain the talent to shift shape, and cuz it's a talent that every other Flutter Pony or changeling has, they don't develop individual talents and therefore no cutie marks. The Flutter Ponies would not be affected by the geis, but Cicada would follow her Queen thru the door cuz she'd want to save her Queen from the geis.

By having her remain evil, she van be sly and cunning, and at the very least lay low and play along with her finder until such time she's able to get in contact with the other Equestrians. From there, she can openly taunt them or whatnot.

 

And I like Pripyat's concept of having the queen be forced into helping Avarice through a Geis-like curse. They both can be evil and not like each other at the same time. And just because the queen's evil, doesn't mean that she can't care for her subjects!

A. Find a random Finder and Equestrian on her own,

 

B. Have a new player find her,

 

or C. Have one of our characters from the previous RP find her.

 

I prefer the newcomers find Equestrians first. I will also speak for my characters and either introduce Colette immediately and have her hang out / have some level of interaction with another Finder and Equestrian and play along, or introduce the twins later and have them find Luna when she eventually goes to Earth.

Define "Evil". Here's some phrases i have in mind.

"Until you can defeat Avarice and break the Geis i am your sworn enemy. Even if that happens you would be naive to think i would be your friend after that."

 

"My true loyalties lie only with my subjects. If they demand your death i shall grant it to them. However if say you could... *muffled laugh* Bribe them with some love... i could convince them to turn their attention somewhere else for the time being."

 

"Aaah... finally free... yes... YES... YES!!! AHAHAHAHAHH!!! Now... oh my you look so weak right now after defeating Avarice. Now what should i do with you... i have the power to create a portal back to Equestria with a bit of your help. But our little enemity still remains somewhat. Hmmm... i suppose i could consider you saving me from him a repayment for the losses of Canterlot. But it still remains that i need love... i would oh so love to starve so that we become monsters and ravage Equestria but i think it's far more preferable i have mind intact when i incinerate my enemies don't you think? "Oh Rarity Rarity... drama Queen? Oh please that's an understatement... Empress is more like it. I wonder when Spike will understand that you've been "milking" his crush for you.
