"Late again" said Chetnik, with his signature worn-out šajkača and flying suit on. "Well look who it is!" Chetnik exclaimed when he saw the familiar face. "Moja jedina! I haven't seen you for a year!" hugging Hunter with both wings and hooves, tears forming at his eyes.

Hunter felt great knowing that she reunited with her sweetheart, she felt warm in the hug and suddenly kissed him

"its been too long, I never want us to be separated like that again"

she always felt safe around Chet, because she knew that he'd do anything to protect her

Apple Doom heard the voice of another pony. He looked to see that a peculiar mare was shouting at them. "Ahoy! We are in fact here for a trek. A trek into the plains. I am the leader of this group, Apple Doom. Why don't you come over here and join us?" He said as he waved his hoof.

So this WAS the group. Freezing got lucky on this one, as she walked towards the group.

 

"Thanks... My name's Freezing Point. And I hate to ask, but you know where I can get like, some portable ice? Or like, an industrialized, portable, cooling fan? Heck, even one of those cheesy little oscillating fans will work out perfectly at this point.", she asked, already beginning to sweat again.

So this WAS the group. Freezing got lucky on this one, as she walked towards the group.

 

"Thanks... My name's Freezing Point. And I hate to ask, but you know where I can get like, some portable ice? Or like, an industrialized, portable, cooling fan? Heck, even one of those cheesy little oscillating fans will work out perfectly at this point.", she asked, already beginning to sweat again.

Apple Doom laughed a little. "You are in luck. i keep the inside of my cart cooled for my liq-i mean for my equipment." He said as he opened up the back of his cart. It was emitting cold air which could also be seen in the hot weather. "If you want you can jump on in from time to time. Otherwise, i could just give you a sack with ice in it." He said as he pointed to the ice and sacks.

Ocean couldn't help but notice another pony as Heather spoke. She eyed the new mare...something was off about her. And Ocean knew when ponies were different...for obvious reasons. "I'm froooom..." She said, distractedly. She shook her head and looked back at Heather. "Uh...I'm from Trottingham...but I live in the mountains just outside of Canterlot...on a big lake." She said.

Heather got startled when she herd a new pony.  "O-oh wow that'a nice" Heather said thinking how she lives in such a boring place. She herd the pony who said her name was Freezing Point say she needed something to cool down "U-uh i have one of those...little fan things that you push the button to turn on...if you want it....i-i don't get hot easily so you can have it..." Heather said shyly but trying to be helpful

Chet then moved over to AD and whispered "Hey, dude, just don't tell the newbies about the deaths until it's really neccesary, they can't worry on a trip like this and neither can I. I even heard from one of my sources from the government that Aurea, Winter and Noon are gonna be posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, along with us."

 

And then to Hunter: "I really must teach you some Serbian, so if my parents want to see you, it'll go to good use. They know how nice you are, my little šumadijka**"

Ocean watched the mare climb into the cooler (Carriage...thing) *She seem's to like a cold...allot. How odd.* She gave the mare one more quizzical look before looking at Apple Doom. "So when do you think we will be leaving ? And how many other ponies are we waiting for ?" She asked.

Apple Doom turned his attention back to Chetnik. "Alright,my friend. Let's get this show on the road." He said as he fastened the carts straps on his body.

Apple Doom shook his head at Hunters words. "I really have no idea. I myself brought a boomstick with me. I really don't want to use it so we are taking a different route than last time."He said with a whisper.

 

I feel fine, that doctor didnt know what she was talking about.The weight of the cart won't reopen my wound.He thought to himself as he got ready to address the group. 

"Alright everypony,listen up. I ain't real keen on waiting for the last two ponies so we are going on without them." Apple Doom said as he began to pull the cart. "starting point is,of course, Appaloosa. Our goal is the end of these plains."

Freezing was extremely content in this odd cart of Apple Doom's, looking inside it. Man, this thing is sooooo cool! Literally! Not as cold as the Arctic, but the same concept!

 

Her mane was gaining the decorative, but essential snowflakes that were vital to her body.

Ocean was beginning to get bored...the ponies around her all seemed to know each other so she walked over to a nearby bench and sat down.
Her horn glowed and a few drops of water floated off her hoof. They began floating around each other and making cool shapes as Ocean waited for something to happen...

Hunter noticed AD's facial expressions as he spoke to the mare in his cooler

"hey, you're worried about...her arent you? Its been a year since it happened, maybe she'd want you to move on"

she placed a comforting hoof on his shoulder, hoping that he'd listen to her

Chetnik scooted over to Apple Doom, pulling the cart with him and said in a calm voice: "Listen, you can't stick to the past anymore. Aurea was a wonderful pony and she would probably want you to spend the rest of your life with another nice mare. After all, it wasn't your fault, it was..." Chetnik said in an angry tone: "them..."

 

He then remembered his condition and told AD: "Listen, don't forget to remind me to give my shoulder a break from this weight, it needs some healing time, the docs at VMA Filgrade told me it'll be back to normal in a month or two, just no heavy lifting, it healed enough to let me fly after only 2 months, our doctors work wonders with the original traditional honey-n'-rakija treatment and tons of local fruit. Oh, and I think you should take a break too, that wound ain't no mačji kašalj."

Apple Doom grunted as Hunter and Chetnik spoke to him. They know nothing. they walked away with wounds and each other. I walked away with wounds and a broken heart. He thought as he gave off a forced smile. "Whatever. Oh, and don't worry i will remind you about your wound Chetnik."He said as he turned to Hunter. "Chetniks right, you should also take a break for your wound." Apple Doom said as he kinked his neck

Ready when you are, Apple Doom." She said, adjusting her saddlebag. She was looking forward to the trip...but not towards the sun. Ocean and the hot sun never really got along...for obvious reasons.
