Apple Doom's legs seemed to act on their own as he followed Freezing.

"I am a little,but that doesn't stop me from caring about beautiful mares. If anything it gets rid of my emotional and mental pain and lets me appreciate the beauty in your mane among other things."He said as he opened the carts back doors for the mare

Freezing had simply stepped inside the cart, before looking back at the drunken Apple Doom. "Uh... Thanks? And good night, I guess?", she confusingly said, as she laid back down onto the cart interior. 

 

Yeah, I'm not dealing with drunks tonight... Time to go to sleep...

Apple Doom closed the doors behind her and smiled awkwardly. He then leaned up against the cart and nodded off to sleep. As he did he fell to the ground with a sort of comical thump.

"Well your markings are umm...cool.." Heather said trying to think of a compliment then smiled at what Apollo had said "T-thank you...again.." Heather said smiling "S-so um...do you have a cutie mark? or is just that i can't see it...with your markings?" Heather said trying to find something to talk about then she yawned and put her book down

Apollo smiled at Heather. He liked her shyness..it reminded him the innocent days before his fate dealt him a cruel hand.

"Ah my cutie mark." Apollo said as his smile turned from happiness into one of sorrow.

"I cant really remember. Its been so long." He said with a heavy voice. He then looked around and saw that it was nightfall and Heather was yawning.

"Hey, its getting kinda late. We'll continue tomorrow..unless." He stopped himself

Heather saw Apollo start to look a little bit sad and herd what he had said about his cutie mark "O-oh i'm sorry...for asking..." Heather said feeling a bit bad about bringing it up "I was just trying to i dunno...start a conversation.." Heather said shyly then yawned again "Huh? o-oh yea it is....unless what...?" Heather asked looking up at Apollo

Heather laughed a bit at what Apollo had said about his cutie mark and thought about how she didn't have a cutie mark she frowned a bit then started listening to what Apollo said next. "What? U-um i-i don't know i-um" Heather said shyly and awkwardly she didn't know how to respond to that...she scooted away from Apollo a bit then fell down on the ground "Ow.." Heather said

Apollo then face hoofed himself.

you are such an idiot.

"Are you alright? By Celestia's beard i'm an idiot....i didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." He said as he got up and extended a hoof towards her so she can get up. Apollo sneaked an innocent peak at Heathers flank to see her markings and the lack of a visible cutie mark.

Gah, here I am getting sad that i will never see my cutie mark again and she doesnt seem to have one. how self-centered can i get?

"I-i'm okay...uh...just a couple of scratches..." Heather said "uh-i-its alright... Y-you're not a idiot...i-i'm always uncomfortable ."  Heather said laughing a bit, trying to make a joke but probably just ended up sounding stupid. She took Apollos hoof so she could get up then she looking down embarrassed about falling

"Come on, I'll escort you to where you are sleeping...you do have a place to sleep right?" He said hoping she'll say no.

If she says no then i can insist on her sleeping with me in my tent. Good thing i can set it up with my magic. He thought as he went to the side of Heather.

Heather smiled back shyly "Alright...Oh-wait oh my goodness! i forgot to make a tent, i'm so stupid! i-its alright i guess i could just sleep out here Heather said looking around for somewhere that looked nice to sleep 'How could i forget to make a tent? ugh i am so stupid!" Heather thought to herself

Apollo flapped his wings in excitement but quickly calmed them down.

"Well, I can set up my tent in a jiffy and you could sleep with me in there." He said enthusiastically. He then demonstrated by setting up a tent with his magic in only a few seconds.

"Its a little trick i picked up from my job." Apollo explained.

Maybe i'm moving too fast...i mean, inviting her to sleep in the same tent? that might push her away. He thought.

"I-i dunno....i m-mean its okay i can sleep out here..." Heather said looking down then saw as Apollo set up a tent "W-wow...thats awesome..." Heather said. She was debating if she was going to sleep inside the tent...with Apollo or outside...it was pretty cold so she didn't want to stay outside, plus she hated bugs...

Apollo kept thinking he was being too pushy. He tried to read Heather's face and thought it best to ease up on his approach to her.

"Hey, Heather...you can actually take my tent. I can sleep under the stars." He said as he held the tent open for her. Apollo looked around and deduced that he and Heather were the only ones still awake so he had to be quiet.

"Oh n-no i...couldn't do that, i mean its your tent! Its alright i'll just...um...sleep out here" Heather said thinking about if she took his tent she would feel bad about it  "But thank you.." Heather said sitting down on the dirt. Heather yawned and put her head down on the dirt "I-its um more comfy then it looks!" Heather said then smiled

Apollo got slightly annoyed at Heather's actions.

"Well to tell you the truth, I am not sleepy at all. I Just figured you would make better use of it than me." Apollo said. In reality Apollo, was tired, but he dealt with stubborn Mares before so he knew how to navigate though the conversation without giving any cues to his lying.

I know, i won't give her a choice.

Apollo then trotted towards the passed out Apple Doom and acted as if he was attending to him.

"Hmm, I actually need to tend to this drunk leader of ours." As he said that he immediately fell asleep next to Apple Doom

"You aren't? Well..." Heather sat up and thought about it "Alright..." Heather said as she saw him go to the drunken stallion and fall asleep. Heather got up and walked to Apollo and whispered to him "Thank you" Not thinking she kissed his cheek "I...uh..i mean, sorry...um-goodnight" Heather whispered to Apollo then walked to the tent

Apple Doom woke up and wiped the drool from his mouth. He then noticed Apollo next to him and shook his head.

"Hey, that shoulder is reserved for Aure- i mean the mares!" He then nudged him off angrily. He noticed he had a pounding headache as well as an empty jug next to him. He then released his anger onto it making audible noises.

"ALRIGHT EVERYPONY, WAKE THE BUCK UP!" He yelled.

Apollo's face hit the ground as Apple Doom pushed him off. He then noticed the leader in a tiff about something. He simply shook his head and stretched his wings and legs.

Not too bad, had rough ground to sleep on.I wonder how Heather slept. He thought as he made his way towards the tent. He was reluctant to wake her up or even go inside the tent, so he waited outside hoping Apple Dooms yelling would wake her.

Hunter's eyes flicked open, it was early morning, the fire even still had glowing coals. she realised she was sleeping on Chet's chest and she decided to snuggle up to him until he finally awoke so they could move on with the expedition day two, hopefully the early morning fog clears up

Heather was sleeping when she herd a shout that woke her up "Huh?" Heather said wondering what the shout was. Heather got up and brushed her mane a bit then walked outside still sorta half asleep. Heather walked out and looked up to see Apollo standing there "Ah!" Heather said and jumped a bit surprised "O-oh hi Apollo" Heather said

Apollo looked at Heather with an expressionless face. After last night he wasn't sure if he should be flirtatious. So he did what he was taught to do and stood at attention.

"Good morning Ma'am...Heather. Did you sleep well?" Apollo asked.

Heather was looking around, it was nice and sunny, but not to hot...she then herd Apollo and replied "Morning Apollo...Yes, thanks for letting me sleep in your tent...how did you sleep?" Heather asked "Oh one second" Heather said going back in the tent to get the book she had been reading and then came back out

Chetnik slowly started waking after Hunter snuggled him, the bright light shining at his eyes. He had the best sleep in a year, mostly because he had his love back

 

"Hey, mila moja, awake already?" Chetnik said kissing her on the cheek

 

"Today's gonna be a good day, I get to spend time with you, you don't know how good it is to have you back" he whispered in her ear

Hunter kissed Chet back on the cheek and stood up, brushing some of the dirt off her coat.

"alright AD, we're up, just say the word and we're off"

she gave him a small salute and giggled
