[Brain Drain 93]

A crow landed next to Selune his eyes where red and there was a scar on his beak. Picking up the piece of paper plague dropped he flew deeper in the cave leaving behind one of his purple feathers.

 

Plague's head moved as he slept, "Burning...screams...nightmare..." quietly sleep talking. One of his eyes started to twitch as he fell into a deeper state of sleep.

((Screw it im skipping to the morning.))

 

As gearbox woke, he found his goggles were messed up, and he took them off his face to see the sunlight peeking through the clouds.

"7?8?" He decided he didnt care, and he rubbed his face with his hooves to wake up. He Rose and stumbled a bit, but managed to get to the mouth of the cave. He sat, goggles next to him, looking at the sunrise, enjoying the picture.

Plague woke up in a cold sweat, "No I didn't do it!" he shouted not realizing everypony was in the cave. He quickly moved out of the cave trying to get as far as possible from the group, "I never liked being in groups..." mumbling to himself as he moved throughout the forest.

Selune was calmly resting her eyes half closed. She had slept for a little but when Plague woke up and shouted she snapped out of it almost immediately. "Dang it you scared me Plague!" she said before he left. She streched her arms and prepared herself. She would have to go get something to eat... and look for some fruit and things for the others.

Compass woke up with a jolt. "Which one of you buckers stepped on my tail?" she asked drowsiliy. Then she remembered it was just a dream and got up. She had cramps all over her body. She looked at the sunset. It was very pretty, but it was a bit off for some reason. Then she figured it out. It was on the wrong side.

(OOC: Oh... oops. Sorry. My sister and I share the computer sometines and I didn't notice it was logged on her account. What do I do, leave it like this? She doesn't know, she's busy watching Youtube on her tablet. But still, that was me posting. The post still counts, right? I didn't mean to hack...)

Wheatley woke up very slowly, the sun was shining on his face and it was hard to see, he putted on his glasses and he said

 

"What a wonderful day, what happened to Plague doctor?"

 

He looked for something to eat in his bag, he grabbed an apple and started to eat it.

Gearbox considered putting his goggles back on, to hide his eyes. But he decided he didn't care right now.

He had his head resting on his hooves, in a way that his eyes can only be seen from the front.

"Such a nice sunrise." he said, thinking on the sunrises oranges, that mirrored his goggles colors.

Plague stopped at a clearing in the forest. Taking off his mask he wiped the sweat from his forehead and calmed himself down. "What is with this island making my worst nightmares seem so real?" Talking to himself as he stared up at the sky. "I can't sleep anymore...to many mistakes." Laying his mask on the ground.

Novella watched all the ponies waking up. She had been up all night had watched the sunrise and sunset. They looked odd at the time but she couldn't be sure so she decided not to mention it. She was sitting by the ocean making small whirlpools in the surf. The whole night she felt as if someone was watching her, but she decided it was just her imagination.

He decided to go look for plague, he had been gone to long and they needed him, his sleep mix hadn't worn of yet.

He began walking among the forest, but didnt know where we went.

Suddenly he saw some sort of moss, but it was grown weird, against the wall of stone.

He rubbed his hoof against the wall, and felt that it was a thickly grown cover to some cave.

He slowly walked inside, telling himself he should get someone else, but still walked.

Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his side, and he fell.

As his eyes closed, he thought he saw...something.

He struggeled to keep his eyes open, trying to see whatever it was, but all he saw was a bright light, then darkness...

As his eyes closed, he tried to say something, get someones attention.

"Ugh...hellp..." He muttered, trying to pull himself to the exit.

"The goggles...my eyes....Plague...." Then everything went black.

Plague heard the cries for help but didn't rush towards the voice, "This has to be a trick my mind is messing with me, but why would it sound like Gearbox?...wait!" Rushing to the voice he found a unconsciousness Gearbox, "I got you Gear." Whispering to him as he dragged him to his spot in the forest.

Plague, Compass, Selune

Things tripped around gearboxes mind, and every minute seemed like an hour. He saw his parents, his wings, his goggles.

His goggles.

He didnt have them. They were there, in the cave.

Everyone would see.

 

But gearbox had bigger problems.

Plague slapped Gearbox, "Wake the buck up. It's time to get up Gearbox." Pouring water on his face in hopes of him waking up. "Come on sleepy head time to get up. I don't have time for this right now. I got bigger problems right now...GET UP!" Plague looking over his shoulder.

Gearboxes vision slowly recovered, his eyes slowly opening. But it was too bright, and he quickly covered his eyes with his hooves.

"Argh, light." He grunted. He very slowly opened his eyes, but everything was brighter, colors seeped and poured, his vision blurry and strange.

He looked up, around until he saw something. Whatever it was, it was scary, and gearbox quickly rolled away, hitting against a tree.

"Go away, whatever you are, go away!"

Plague laughed, "I'm not that bad looking even if my face is all cut up." Putting a cold rag on his head. "What happen to you and where are your goggles?" Remembering he forgot his mask in the forest. "Are you fit for travel? It's ok if your not i can always heal you here, but the cave would be a better place." Digging in his bag looking for something that could cover his face.

Gearbox puffed his chest heavily, looking over the thing until his vision stabilized enough to see...

"Plague?" He calmed down a bit. "Plague is...is that you?" He squinted, trying to get his vision to stop shaking.

"My vision... it's all...wonky and..." He groaned. "Help me."

"Don't worry I got you. I won't let you die." Starting to exam his eyes checking for anything unusual. "Do you feel any pain?" Pulling out some herbs, "Eat these maybe it will have some effect." Moving the rag over his eyes. "This sound keep the sun out of your eyes." Sitting still trying to think of what it could be.

Gearbox lifted the rag on his left eye, realizing that his mechanical eye wasn't affected.

"Great." He grunted. "I have to explain how i'm half robot but not how i hate my rich family."

He choked down the herbs, trying to piece his words together. Then he suddenly felt something.

"Plague, i...i don't feel..." Then suddenly, he passed out again, his chest slowly moving up and down.

Plague shook his head in disbelief, "no...no...i can't lose another." Checking for any cuts or wounds that could of caused this. Noticing a small wound on his neck, "Well what have we here..." Getting a closer look noticing a strange liquid leaking from the hole. "So there is life on this island other then us..." Opening his cloak he pulled out a needle with a green liquid. "This should stop most poison." Leaning against the tree hoping it would work.

@, Selune approached Novella. She didn't seem right to her so she put a hoof on her shoulder after noticing from her eyes the lack of sleep. "Are you alright? Talk to me... you look like hell! Have you been up all night or something? This isn't good for you!" she said worried.

@, "I'm always up. I don't sleep. I'm fine...Really!" Novella replied in an almost monotone voice. She doesn't turn to face Selune and keeps staring off in the horizon. She was so interested in it but she had no idea why. It entranced her and she had been staring at it for a very long time. She didn't know she had been though, as she lost her train of thought and sense of time when she stared at it.

@, "Are you sure? I... kinda don't want to leave you all alone here."  She shrugged looking around. "You never know whats gonna come and stab you in the back." She sighs and then looks at the same direction you do. "What are you looking at anyways? Seems REALLY interesting if you ask me."

Compass ran to where all  the noise was. There was Plauge and Gearbox. Gearbox was lying on the ground, soaking wet. Compass noticed a small, purple thorn in his side. Her eyes widened and she yelled at the top of her lungs, "Oh, for Celestia's sake! He has a Tanma thorn sticking out of him!"

 

A Tanma thorn was the thorn of a plant thought to be extinct. These thorns always had very powerful poisons on them that could cause many different problems to equines.

 

She watched in suspense, along with the rest of the "crowd" as Plauge Doctor carefully took it out.

Gearbox coughed, his eye slowly opening.

"uhhh" He groaned, rubbing his flank where the thorn stuck him. He looked up to see plague...and compass.

Gearbox immediately freaked, quickly covering his eye that was still visible over his cloth.

"Ah! Compass, what are you doing here?" He said, peeking through between his hooves at her, trying to hide his mechanical eye as best as he could while still seeing her.
