Now, it's time for our second fundraising goal - a copy of IP.Gallery to give us a miniature little deviantART for ourselves! Unlike last time, there will be no poll for this fundraiser - we're raising the funds for IP.Gallery and that's what they'll go towards. Every member will be able to create their own album that they can organize however they want, and I also plan to have a couple of "global" albums that everyone can upload to (we absolutely must have a GIF dump album). Community categories, personal albums Members can create their own albums in which to store their photos which, in turn, belong to admin-defined categories. Albums are a great way of organizing photos of a particular date, place or event, and they can be public, or viewable only by the owners friends. With IP.Gallery, photos in your community are neatly organized and easy to find. The point of the gallery is for it to be a gallery of our community's work, not the entire brony fandom's (I'm actually involved with an entirely separate project for that, but more on that later). I'll make an exception for GIF's, but if there's no "dump" album for something (if you know what I mean), you shouldn't be sharing it via the gallery. Just uploading it to Photobucket and linking to that is completely missing the point - if you want to share a comic that you didn't make, the preferred way to do it is to link to the original source of the comic on deviantART or whatever in a post or topic. If the original source doesn't exist anymore or you have no idea where it is, then upload it as an attachment (at least it'll get the benefit of passing through the CDN then). But never, ever upload anything to the gallery unless you made it, have the personal permission of the creator to upload it there, or you are explicitly allowed to upload it (like GIF's for the GIF dump). I'm really looking forward to this especially now that I've started making stuff. I'll definitely be donating again. Thanks, man! The character-specific galleries you see are character-specific dumping grounds. If you wish to upload your own work, create a member album as a sub-album of the 'Member Galleries' album.
