Flash Bolt 11 June 14, 2013 Share June 14, 2013 This isn't me, but my younger brother (8.8 year old closet brony), and I thought it was really funny, so I'm going to share it. Our family was going on a vacation a bit back, and we had 4 hours to wait at an airport, so we sat down, and my brother started playing Minecraft on his phone. This kid his age (around 7/8) came and said he had Minecraft as well, and so they started playing random games on their phones. Eventually, the kid we didn't know opens up Angry Birds: Rio, and asks my brother if he knows what it is. My brother was going to reply "Rio", but instead, says "Rainbow Dash", which he immediately starts correcting himself saying Rio a few times. Of course, I start laughing like crazy until he starts staring me down and tells me to shut up. I don't really have these experiences myself, as I'm not really a closet brony, but I thought that was funny.
Moniker 93 June 18, 2013 Share June 18, 2013 Last year when I was a closet brony I looking at tabs for MLP songs for bass, My mother walked in my room I closed the page, however the page I went to was a MLP fan fiction site that was one I choked at and looked at my mom who was gone at that time. So I was glad she might not have noticed. Another time I was learning a brony song, in which I used to warm up my hands when playing different songs, so there I was playing Discord in front of my bass guitar teacher, he asked the named which I was forced to answer I said Discord and he typed it in the computer and put the video on, I was so embarrassed. I then took the next fifteen minutes explaining the concept of bronies to him. That was so embarrassing When my grandmother was visiting last year I was watching a episode of MLP when she woke up I didn't hear her footsteps, gladly she loves me so much that she gladly sat down and watched it. I am grateful to know she loves me this much to keep this a secret. And another time I was watching my friend play games when I was wondering what it would sound like If I was to put one of my favorite brony songs on he faintly heard the end of Luna (alt) mode lyrics and the beginning of Rainbow Factory told me to take off the headphones for a minute. So I took them off and he asked "What are you listening to?" I wasn't sure what to say so the first thing that came to mind was nothing. He then unexpectedly came to the computer again that was sooooooooo embarrassing. One other time I was in the store when I was asked by a someone to tell him the name of a small box that was fill to the brim with ponies from MLP FIM so I stood there and waited for a few minutes before speaking all the names of the ponies in the box. He then thanked me and reached in the box and grabbed a random toy and handed it to me but since I was one of the only bronies that doesn't want toys I just declined it. He then pushed his possible six year old daughter who asked me a question. "Um, what is the name of the villain of season 2?" I immediately know who she was talking about the girl thanked and walked off. That was when my parents asked what the man asked I said he thought he recognized me they. Wow I've had some pretty big amount of close calls, but now I am open to being a brony.
lincolnshirepony 527 June 18, 2013 Share June 18, 2013 I'm not a closet brony, but my boyfriend and his best friend aren't the most open about it, so here's a story about them. =P The three of us were talking about ponies before band last fall. My boyfriend started watching later than us, so he wasn't quite caught up with season 2. We were telling him he needed to catch up so he could get to the finale and be able to watch season 3 when it premiered. So this one kid overheard us and asked if we were talking about The Walking Dead, because I guess that had a season premiere or finale that occurred recently. They just kind of went along with it. And thus The Walking Dead was adopted as our codename for MLP. 1 DFTBA.

repsol rave 2,963 June 20, 2013 Share June 20, 2013 i had a nice one today, i was browsing these forums again, but i was also listening to music trhough my earbuds, so i was pretty much oblivious to everything around me. i was rating somepony's OC so i was looking at a big picture of a pony. then suddenly my dad sits next to me on the couch, and his face went really weird when he saw the pony's on my screen. he didn't say anything about it though... My OC's: Roarke, Repsol and Crystal
omnusus 52 June 21, 2013 Share June 21, 2013 One day, I was walking around my house listening to my iPod. My mom was on Netflix, and she saw MLP in the Recently Watched section. She asked, "Do you watch the little ponies or just your sister?" Even though I was taken off guard, I calmly replied "Just my sister." The best part was that I was listening to Winter Wrap Up at that time. Later I told her I watched the show, though. Another time I was on the bus and listening to a remix of At The Gala. Randomly, a friend of mine pulled my headphones off my head to listen to the music. I got them back, and she didn't seem to recognize it. She asked, "Is that techno or something?" I replied, "Something like that."
shy0wl 484 July 11, 2014 Share July 11, 2014 I remember this one time my sisters got a hold of my iPad (no passcode) and they saw the My Little Pony game on it. It was pretty awkward when they asked me "you like My Little Pony? Seriously?" I brushed it off with an excuse that I downloaded it because it was featured on Tapjoy or something like that. My youngest sister brought it up one other time for laughs and really the whole thing was pretty embarrassing
GXPBlast 597 July 11, 2014 Share July 11, 2014 I actually created a similar thread to this awhile back, but I will add to this thread as well. Despite taking extra measures as mentioned in previous threads to prevent people including my parents from finding out I am a brony, I still can make careless mistakes.Since I am on the computer alot and can be on MLPforums a bunch, I sometimes can forget to minimize or exit. Awhile back I forgot a second window was open and my mom possibly could clearly see me on the site for a good 5 seconds but she said nothing of it.Another time my dad could possibly have seen me on the site. Despite clearly hearing him come up the stairs and on his way heading into my room, I was so busy reading a thread post, that he walked in and possibly saw a good 2-4 seconds of this site open on my 40 inch TV connected to my computer. He said nothing of it but I think he saw it before I could exit and while I did exit. He said nothing of it and asked me to help him with his phone. But seriously, this is another careless mistake after my close call with my mom. So that possibly makes both my mom and dad seeing me on the site.I really need to be more careful and not make these careless mistakes anymore. If they keep seeing me on this site, they may suspect something and I could be screwed. Trust me, I am a closet brony for a reason around my family so please dont question why I am doing such things.
