So, in case you don't know what the hell Rotten Tomatoes is it's a site where they compile reviews of almost all major critics and create a percentage of who liked it. Equestria Girls has a page on there right now and you can view it right here

So anyway, I'm guessing that this will probably get the 20-30% score. The reason I say this is because first off this isn't going to be a wide release, meaning that I'm guessing only the more picky critics are gonna watch it; second it's the kind of genre that doesn't do too terribly well or rake in very many fans, so while there may be a critic or two that liked it I'm guessing that for the most part it's gonna be more negative.

What about you folks? Post your predictions plz.

I'm gonna keep the poll anonymous so you don't have people flaming each other over it which I have seen before on other sites.

Difficult to say. I'm not expecting many professional reviews because it's not getting a wide release in terms of # of theaters.

That means any one review, positive or negative, will probably skew the overall meter a lot.

Well, I predict that the viewer ratings for it will be pretty high, since a ton of bronies will go on and create ratings gushing about it to boost the score. However, the actual rating given by real critics will be very, very, VERY low. And I can't blame 'em: Unoriginal premise, trite story line, cliched, droll, and a generic girly high school movie. Nothing pioneering or unique about it. It certainly already seems to lack the charm of the actual canon show.

I'd have to say below 60 but above 40. Me and my friends run a "Bad Movie Club" where we screen garbage movies and we always use Rotten Tomatoes' "Tomatometer" to pick what to screen. Anything below 30 is complete crap (DHX will at least make a quality movie, even though no one is going to like it) and anything below 15 is un-watchable unless you're in a group of loudmouth smart-asses who can make fun of the movie to no end or are extremely high.

I'm not exactly fond of Rotten Tomato's due to the bias steamroller of the of the critics they use.

But if I had to guess, I'd say maybe near split down the middle leaning towards good, like maybe 60-65%.

I have a feeling the T-meter will be low, almost certainly under 50%. I think most critics will avoid seeing this one, and the ones that do won't look on it favorably regardless of how it turns out relative to the fandom's expectations. It's just not a critic-friendly kind of movie, but it might be a critic-proof movie. I doubt any of us will care what they say when we make our decisions on whether to see it. We'll look to fellow bronies for opinions first.

Rotten tomatoes tends to be biased.

That said kids films tend to get low scores on their sites.

That said I would say the film would get a rotting rating.

Does that mean the movie is bad?

I don't know.

All I know is that most critics dislike it
