How did Dr Whooves become my favorite BG pony? Simple. It's called "Dr. Whooves and Assistant." That series on YouTube hooked me right away.

Hard to say why I love Derpy so much.  I joined the fandom right as the Derpy controversy was just dying down, so that was still fresh in everypony's mind as I began watching the show.  As I went through more and more episodes, her little cameos, derpy expression, and winning, adorable, perpetual smile all won me over and I just fell in love with the character, and I fully embraced her as one of the fandom's biggest mascots.  I guess the idea of her as a blank canvas whose backstory and character the fans themselves can mold and shape attracted me heavily as well to Derpy, and at the moment I myself am partaking in crafting my own narrative interpretation of the derpy-eyed little pegasus in my crossover fanfic "Batmare Begins".

 

Derpy, what more can I say?  I love ya, I always have since I've become a brony, and I always will!

 I like Spitfire's design, color scheme, bad ass attitude and voice (yes, the new voice from season 3).  Plus, she doesn't look half bad with her hair/ mane down.  Simply put, she's awesome.  I'm not sure if she'd be the cuddling type, but I wanna give her a hug soooo bad  .  Yeah, I may have a slight crush.

 

  Vinyl is a close second.  Design, mane, color scheme, all that stuff is good.  Plus, her fanon personality makes her seem hella cool  .  Soarin could also possibly tie with Vinyl for second favorite.

I quite like doctor whooves and vinyal scratch as my 2 absolutee favourites and then Derpy and Octavia come in just behind... I'm a music student at school and a massive doctor who fan

My favorite would probably be Octavia, dunno how it happened really, probably after seeing all the beautiful fanart of her I guess. I also quite like Derpy.

Oh, and Shoeshine, I took a liking to her because nopony else seems to love her...

I've always loved apple fritters, so when I found out there was a pony named after them I instantly attached to it. I also like Apple Fritter's look, there aren't a lot of green maned ponies and love the shade of yellow they used for her skin.
