  1. I used to be very shy, but I've been trying hard to become more outgoing. In the past, I'd never, or almost never talk to someone unless they talked to me first, but now I'm trying to change that. Old habits can die hard though and sometimes I still get a bit nervous before talking to someone I don't know. I'm getting better though. I even started a conversation with someone on the bus once who was having a bad day and cheered her up a bit. I would have never dreamed of doing that a few years ago.
  2. Am I smart? Naw cuz, I'm hella dumb . I'm joking. I usually get A's and B's so I do OK. I'm not sure if I'd call myself smart though. I definitely don't pass every test I take, but I do well enough in other areas to save myself and somehow get a decent grade. Sometimes I'm actually kinda surprised that things turn out so well . As far as street/ life smarts go, I'd say I'm about average in that area too, or at least I'd like to think I'm average.
  3. I have no issues with them. Some of the fursuits I've seen pictures of are really well done and in a way, they're the closest we'll get to seeing our favorite cartoon characters in real life. There's also some nice art out there too, even though a lot of it is r34. Overall, the fandom doesn't seem to be doing any harm. Its just another interest some people have, and there are a lot worse things out there to be interested in.
  4. I wouldn't mind being famous to some extent, but not to the point of loosing all my privacy and having to wear disguises and sneak around whenever I go out if I wanna be left alone. I also imagine it's pretty tough having every low moment and mistake in your life discussed by millions and posted in magazines. It would be nice to be known in certain fields and occasionally have someone recognize you from something you did. That's probably the extent of fame I'd want.
  5. In the past I was pretty shy, but I've been trying to come out of my shell more and now I feel like my circle of friends/ acquaintances is bigger than it has ever been. I don't think you need to have tons of friends though, you only need a few good ones who you share a connection with and will be there for you. On another, kinda off topic note, I also think it's important to at least try to be friends with, or at least on good terms with your family. They say friends come and go, but family is forever, so you might as well get along, or at least try. I think it's kinda sad when families drift apart, but I know things aren't always in our control and sometimes it just happens. Anyway...friendship is important, but you don't need thousands, hundreds, or even tens of friends to be happy. You just need a few people who, like, get you, you know .
  6. Wanna hear a joke? Women's rights That's the only one that comes to mind at the moment. Sometimes peoples' reactions make it funnier too .
  7. As others have said, there are shirts and jackets that only Bronies will recognize. There are also some nice hats too. http://xxflamerunnerxx.deviantart.com/art/BRONY-Hat-360975059 http://www.sears.com/bioworld-my-little-pony-friendship-is-magic-brony/p-SPM7197021805P?PDP_REDIRECT=false http://www.etsy.com/listing/154253599/rainbow-dash-snapback-my-little-pony-hat You could also put MLP wallpapers on your cellphone if you feel nervous about wearing MLP related clothing to school. That could be a good way to start if you wanna test the waters and see the reactions you get if/ when people notice.
  8. I moved around a lot and never lived in one city ( or state) longer than 4, maybe 5 years. I'd make friends, then move and start over, so I learned how to be really comfortable by myself. I get along well with my sister though, so I wasn't ever completely alone. I also got bullied a lot in middle school ( my experiences of living in the south aren't so great), but then I moved to Canada and everything was good . I was reserved for a long time though and mostly kept to myself until I started gaining more confidence in my late teens. Moving somewhere and not having any friends never really bothered me that much. Like I said, I enjoy my own company, so I can manage. I've also been able to see a lot of the US and some of Canada and have had some interesting experiences. With the exception of 2-3 years, my childhood was pretty good.
  9. If i had the choice, I wouldn't start over. I feel like I'm just getting to the good part . If I could change anything, I would try to be more outgoing and maybe not stop pursuing some things I'm starting to take back up. Sometimes I wonder where I'd be now if I stayed as heavily involved in music as I used to be. Still, I wouldn't wanna start over, I'd rather continue doing what I'm doing and see where life takes me form here.
  10. Besides classes, TV and doing stuff on my computer, and apart from MLP I like running (well, not really like, but tolerate ), swimming, tennis, badminton, racquetball, exploring my city and taking photos, drawing, listening to and playing music, clubbing on occasion, shopping, sleeping, pretty much doing things I enjoy. I'm really into the arts and am trying to get involved in the arts and entertainment industry as much as I can, so that's becoming one of my main focuses besides my classes.
  11. Why not? It would be an adventure . I wouldn't say no to Nightmare Moon. My dreams aren't too crazy and ( I hope) she'd keep what she sees confidential, so I'm not too worried about that part.
  12. Definitely my feet. You barely have to touch them to get me started. Just thinking about it makes me start smiling . My sides and stomach are also pretty ticklish, but I would prefer not to get tickled on my stomach cause that makes me feel kinda awkward too .
  13. I don't carry a weapon, but for a while I was thinking about getting a knife. I walk around my city a lot, and even though its mostly safe, sometimes I have to go through rougher areas and I'm usually alone. I'm not sure if I'd feel comfortable carrying a knife though. My friend's boss was either shot or stabbed, so now he carries a knife to feel more secure. I guess having something to protect you self with doesn't hurt.
  14. I have a plush dragon I cuddle with, which helps me relax and fall asleep quicker. I also sometimes listen to soothing music. If I can't sleep, I usually end up thinking of random scenarios until I end up drifting off.
  15. Go for the balls Use mace Get a taser run I took various martial arts for a while and also played capoeira, so I'd like to think I know some defense techniques, though in the moment I'm not sure if they'd come back to me.
  16. I feel my life is getting better. I'm starting to become more active in pursuing my passions and seeing where they take me. I feel like I'm taking positive steps and getting things accomplished. I'm putting myself out there more and it feels good. I'm getting some commercials, print adds and spots as an extra in short films and am basically getting more involved in the things I like to do. University's going well too, which always helps.
  17. Earlier today I was walking around and found out that some new street art had popped up in one of the areas I like to go to. I walked around for a while thinking all this new art was so cool. I also watched the sun set over one of the most beautiful beaches in California, which was nice too. I also feel great when I get chosen to be in a commercial, and when I'm done I feel like I can do anything. It doesn't take that much to make me happy. If I really enjoy something I can easily get lost in it to the point where nothing else matters during that moment.
  18. I used to be shy about admitting I like MLP, but now I don't mind so much. I don't bring it up unless someone else does, but if asked, I'll say I like the show. I have MLP wallpapers on my cellphone and laptop and I'm just waiting for someone to recognize one of the characters. So far nothing has come up though. Maybe others are shy about it too.
  19. I don't have any issue if people cross dress. It doesn't harm anyone and if it makes you happy, why not? Plus, I'll admit women have some really nice clothes. Sometimes I think women's clothing looks nicer, especially when it comes to jackets and scarves/ accessories.
  20. I still believe its important to go to university, even though it seems it's only getting more expensive. Many careers require some sort of degree, but so many people are getting a bachelors now that it isn't what it used to be and no longer guarantees a job. Still, its good to get an education and you do develop skills that can help you once you graduate. Even my professors have said that you most likely won't remember the majority of what you learn once you leave, and many end up working in fields not related to their major. The main thing I think you gain from university is the connections you can make. There are so many stories out there of people landing jobs through people they met in university, or people forming bands etc... that end up doing well with friends and/ or roommates from university. You never know who you'll meet, and universities expose you to many like minded individuals who you probably wouldn't meet otherwise. That's what I think the draw of places like Stanford and Harvard would be. It's not always what you know, it's who you know, but knowing something doesn't hurt. Make sure you get involved in clubs, volunteer organizations and other social stuff your university has to offer. Go to those parties on weekends with the people you meet. You aren't wasting time, you're "networking" . Doing well in university is still important, but knowing the right person can play a role in landing a job once you graduate.
  21. I don't know if anyone has mistaken me for the opposite gender on the forums, but it has happened a few times in real life. It used to annoy me, but now I just shrug it off if it happens. My hair isn't that long, but it's longer than a lot of guys hair which may have something to do with it.
  22. I'd pick Rainbow Dash. I don't think she'd wanna be a maid, so for some reason I think it would be kinda entertaining seeing her in this role. I assume her being a maid would be the result of loosing a bet or something like that. I'd get more enjoyment out of seeing Dash as a maid than I should cause it seems like something she'd never do . When she's done we'd do something she likes, cause I'm not that mean and I want her to have some fun that day . I think Fluttershy would be the best choice for the job tough. Rarity would be good too, but I'm guessing being a maid would be beneath her.
  23. I'm reliant on my cell phone, mostly because it given me access to the internet whenever I need it. I don't text a lot, but I use the apps and other stuff to help me out. I use it to figure out directions, buses I should take and when the bus will arrive. I also put important dates on the calender, use it to check and respond to email when I can't get to a computer and use it as my MP3 player. I also like photography, so I take a lot of pictures on my cell phone. It's nice having some sort of camera with you wherever you go. If I lost my phone or had it stolen I'd be pretty upset. I feel like It's become a part of my life now.
  24. On the outside I'd try and be supportive and help in some way, but on the inside I'd be so annoyed :okiedokielokie:. Still, I'd do my best to help, however difficult it may be . Maybe Dash would fall for me in the process too, but if not, I'll still always be there, especially if anything goes wrong.
  25. I wouldn't mind sharing an asylum room with screwball. We could slowly loose out minds together, although she's probably a lot closer to insanity than I am. It would be interesting to see what kinds of chaos screwball could cause in a padded room.
