gaming .hack series

Anyone played the .hack series on PS2? I know I'm super late to the party on this but I didn't get to play it when it came out 10 years ago. So far I think the first part of the series is good. I have Infection Part 1 and Outbreak Part 3 (Still need Mutation Part 2 & Quarantine Part 4 also not excited to have to spend $80 on a PS2 game. -___-) I am unsure of the G.U. series however. Is it any good?

I played 3 demos from the PS2 decade, but they weren't my all time favorites.

I've wanted to play this series for a long time. I saw bits and pieces the Legend of the Twilight anime and a little of one other that I'm unsure of the name of. Love the concept.

 

The games can be rare though. As you say, it's easy $80+ for some of them.
