How many of you would give this movie a chance.....

  1. 1. Would you still be interested in watching the movie if it had nothing to do with MLP:FIM, AKA it had it's own original setting and characters but with the same plot?

    • No, ponies are my sole reason for wanting to give this movie a chance

    • Yes, I'd still be interested in this movie even if it wasn't about MLP

Id have to answer with an emphatic maybe. Here's the thing, I was ready to write MLP FIM off. I probably wouldn't have watched it if not for all the various sources showing and telling me about it. There's a good chance I would write this off if not for its connection to the show and production team. If EG was spread around and I heard enough about it I would have taken the same actions as I did with MLP.

Probably not, as I have said before the whole high school thing though it can be done well as cliched as it is is rarely done well if anything it just seems like a never ending race to the bottom by it becoming a who's who list of Mary Sue style wish fulfillment so my impression would probably be "oh great another one of those."

No, I hardly watch anything in theaters. This will be a trip for mother and son. But this is not a stand alone movie. It has history of character, characters that we have learned to love despite their faults. Without that friendship the magic of the movie is gone. cuz friendship is magic....

The only reason me and my friend are going to watch this is because of MLP:FiM. Even though we both know the movie isn't canon we are probably going to rage at whatever mistakes they make with the characters. I hope the movie has some decent songs in it because I think the story is going to be sub-par, but my fingers are still crossed that this will be a decent movie.

Sig made by me. Surprisingly it came out somewhat decent.

I'll see it; I gave Glee a chance, I loved it. I gave My Little Pony a chance, I loved it. I gave the movie kick-ass a chance, and I loved it. I probably won't be able to see it in theaters though. My parents probably won't feel like driving me 2 and a half hours away to see a movie

I gave MLP a chance and I'm loving it, so why not Equestria Girls? I mean it's the very least I could do, just giving it a chance rather than judging it because of a couple seconds of scenes. If I don't like it, then what's the point of me raging and ranting about how I don't like it? It shouldn't change anyone else's opinion if they like it.

No way. I'm barely willing to give it a chance now, when I know there are talented people working on it and it's going to have characters I like in it. I did not see a single redeeming quality in that trailer, which is meant to show the good parts that will convince people to pay to see the whole thing.

But hey, it's only two more weeks before all of our worst fears are confirmed/dispelled.

Not really. Apart from ponies, my interest in Equestria Girls is unexistant.

Even though, I would still think it would be interesting.

I don't like the clothing design of the characters nor the real plot of it. To keep in mind not to get angry over a movie, since it is meant for kids and more so little girls and families. If it happens, it mostlikely wouldn't change the show's cannon (just gonna put my trust on the writers/producers here...), as it would cause much discomfort for older fans. If it turns out a flop, then it was made for little girls + $ like most kids' shows and knock-offs are (Jessie, Antfarm, the majority of Disney shows).

I have low hopes for the movie, and high hopes for Season 4. But I will give it a shot and might watch it after it hits the cheaper movie places or Redbox. I think some people take it a bit too seriously by taking Twilight's reaction to a character as a love interest to her, or even analyizing the trailer before the movie's even out. It would never replace the ponies for me or anyone else; and it's writen by Meghan McCarthney, so it might not be so dreadful as anyone assumes...?

I heard one person say it might crush the teen sterotype, like MLP did the girl sterotype. I don't think it'd be that deep of a movie, but if it keeps to Twilight's character, it could in a way. It definitely wouldn't be as "ground breaking" as MLPFIM- which was done by Lauren Faust or as noteworthy to the media about it (except the fact it'll be watched/followed by bronies)

I would be open minded and give it a shot, that is how I became a brony in the first place. It could be the worst movie in the history of the world or it could be really good so I am hyped for it's release! yay.png

Wow, I'll admit I really want to see this movie, but I never really looked at my opinion. Looking back on it, if I wasn't into MLP, I wouldn't know Equestria Girls existed, and, if I had heard of it, I would have thought of it as just plain bleh. But... the MLP side makes it amazing in my eyes... That's scary...
