Discord's connection to Hearts and Hooves Day

I've been wondering about the story behind Hearts and Hooves Day.  Prince Blue Dream gave Princess Golden Dream a love potion and as a result a dragon went on the lose and chaos reigned.  Wait a second...a dragon that brings chaos?  That's sounds like Discord, doesn't it?

Discord isn't, really a dragon though. They would have called him Discord or something like, a creature made from the parts of many other creatures, but you could still very well be completely correct.

His species' name basically translates as "dragon horse" from latin to english. Plush his body shape resembles an asian dragon. While I feel Discord is more equine than anything else. He gives a strong dragonic impression.

You are correct. But, I don't think I would refer Discord as a dragon he's more of like I don't know like a horse, eagle, dragon thing. I don't know just not a dragon that would bring chaos. Oh I got it how about a multi-creature that would bring chaos.

I don't think he'd even want to make a love poison. Not his style. It was the prince just trying to nab himself a wife the easy way. Horribly backfired.

 

I do believe that the chaos reigning was him, but the dragon is probably just some villain we haven't seen yet (give it a season or too, a dragon bad guy will show up at some point).

 

Also, where did the name "Golden Dream" come from?

Nah..I don't think it was Discord. Anything can cause chaos...not just Discord and he's only part dragon so I think they would have mentioned his actual species name if it were really him.

Out of curiosity, where did those names come from? They're not in the show itself, to my knowledge. Are they new fan-names, or are they from one of the translated episodes?

I'm not sure.  Just found those names on the wiki for the show.  I think they are fanmade names, but I have no information that confirms that.
