Bugplayer 720 June 12, 2013 Share June 12, 2013 (edited) I wanted an oc, them Bam! I also wanted to start shading. Which isn't so bad for a first time I guess Also the name gave me a few headaches, because I wanted to combine the 2 things I love to do: Drumming and drawing! So It ended up being Sketchy Tune, because why not ^.^ Source: http://bugplayer.deviantart.com/art/Sketchy-tune-377572316 Came out pretty well, personal opinion. Dusty Soul 2,614 June 13, 2013 Share June 13, 2013 That is awesome, I don't know what it is about the look that I like, but whatever it is I really like it. The shading is very very well done. 1 Soundcloud-------------------Facebook---------------------------Youtube

Like to the left of the scarf, a bit of shading on the skin shouldn't even exist, and on the neck a little bit a swell I think? I don't know haha this forum aint big enough fer the both of us pilgrim! sorry i could not resist lol. you did some awesome work here! the shading is spot on and i love your CM buy the way. do you have a DA account? it looks like your know your way around the digital art world, i personally suck and it and stick to pencils but i wish i could be as good as you in digital. Haha thx! I'm glad you like my Cutie mark. I tried to combine the 2 things I love to do. -Drumming -And recently, drawing! I do have a DA actually, you can follow the source I put under the image. But I don't have much deviations. I have made what... 8 drawings since I started drawing 3 months ago? And the last 3 are the ones that I really like... But I'm starting to get the twist so I'm uploading more and more frequently! Edited June 15, 2013 by Bugplayer
GaleFenrir 281 June 15, 2013 Share June 15, 2013 I like the scarf. Scarves are always cool. And that little pouch is nice and unique. Colors are a bit on the bland side, but that's just a personal preference. Wish I had the talent/patience/desire to vector. I'll just stick to sketching with my tablet for the rest of my life, I suppose.

I'll just stick to sketching with my tablet for the rest of my life, I suppose. Well it isn't technically vectoring, since the true term of vectoring mean using a serie of invisible paths for ever curves and body parts, so even in 2938% zoomed in, it stay perfectly non-pixelised. But when you get use to it, you get faster and faster... Personally this took me maybe 3 hours I think... But yeah, it takes time another OC with a musical symbol cutie-mark?! f*** yeah! On topic, your OC definitely looks really good! It's nice to see someone using neutral colours for their oc instead of those overly-saturated, bright colours. In fact, this is probably one of the best looking OC I've seen in months. Her ear needs to be a bit more pointy, though. Her tail looks quite to be on the big side, which isn't a bad thing! The shading looks fine to me. Keep up the good work I'm glad I have the honor to be in your favs! Another thing wrong would be her left eye...(Or right eye if I'm from her point of view..(The farthest one *facepalm*)) It's pretty much the same size, or even bigger than the closest one. Need to tweak that!
Spring Storm 276 June 20, 2013 Share June 20, 2013 She's AWESOME! I love her simplistic design, and love the choice of colors. A lot of OC's are overly-tall, and tend to include colors that are too bright for MLP. Yours, however, looks like she'd fit right in, without sticking out like a sore thumb. And that, as I like to tell people, is the key to making a good OC Also, awesome that you chose the under-appreciated Earth Pony race for her! And I really like your shading You've inspired me to draw Spring Storm when I get the chance 1 Together since October 19th, 2011

Also, I wanted her to be an earth pony, because they more of the type ''artist and hard working'', I find them unique Edited June 21, 2013 by Bugplayer
Blue Moon 6,345 June 21, 2013 Share June 21, 2013 Ooh, very nice. I love how you used simple non-flashy colors which is something becoming more and more rare as the days go by. And the shading is magnificent. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what software did you use to draw this? 2 Autumn Blue Moon Clear Skies Summer

I used Photoshop CS5 I sketched everything first, then I drew the outlines, colored, and then I added the shading, And also, I'm glad you like it!
