Something Broken

 

Synopsis: Fluttershy meets a Pony with a most unusual problem, seemingly caused by his Cutie Mark. What the others don't know is the problem is in fact far, far deeper than they realise. Can the group convince the Pony to come to terms with his Mark?

 

Authors Notes: This one has quite the history behind it, but to try and summarise the trivia notes as best I can...

 

• Atlas's original name was "Colossus", but then I'm a sucker for Mythology referances, so Atlas it was and Atlas it stuck as, despite becoming something of a rather hackeyed name later on.
• If you can't tell, this was written during the middle of a depression period, while coming down with a rather virulant stomach bug. I actually ended up skipping meals getting this thing written.
• This story has since been declaired discontinuity - mostly I was just never very happy with where and how things turned out. Atlas's personality has been fleshed out more since then to avoid becoming "just another OC".
• Yes, I have been contacted by certain parties wanting to add the story to their little group. They were refused for reasons that should be kind of obvious.
• Perhaps ironically, despite being my least favourite, this remains the only complete fanfiction, and the one with the most views. It's not My Little Dashie or Haunting Nightmare, but I think it's safe to say this one is one of the more popular pieces I've written.

 

The Pony who fell to Equestria

 

Synopsis: A quiet night examining the stars results in Twilight Sparkle, Applejack and Princess Luna investigating the impact site of an unusual green meteorite. What they find however is beyond even Luna's knowledge. Is this creature helpful, or harmful to Equestria?

 

Authors Notes: My second least favourite, mostly because of how it turned out. Some things that required explination however lead into...

 

The Iron Uprising

 

Synopsis: This story begins 341 years before the present day. It is a time of industry and innovation. The technomagical revolution has begun, the event that would secure Equestria's place as one of the leading superpowers in the world. However, it is also a time of strife and suffering - conditions are harsh as Ponies are spurned under the heel of progress. One eccentric Pony sets out to change all of that.

 

What happens instead however, is one of the darkest pieces of history to happen in Equestrian History. Here now is the story of what happened, collected together from the historical accounts of those involved.

 

Authors Notes: This was designed as an experiment, mainly inspired by the narritive structure of Warmahordes, which occasionly uses a similar narritive structure to tell it's stories. It's also arguably the most controversial thing I ever wrote...if I ever got around to finishing it off.

 

I simply ran out of steam on this one. Two Chapters - "Evolution of the Machines" and "Holocaust" were planned, and some work on the former was completed, but without a set objective to meet it kinda crumbled apart.

 

Just to warn everyone, it's pretty damned dark. Later Chapters would only have gotten more gruesome.
