"still one of them might know something" Sighing she thought about going up to talk to Sole or Blaze.

"Maybe I'll talk to them after they finish fighting" As much as she didn't want to talk to them, she would have to if she wanted to gain the info she's looking for.

She then notice a mare from NLR.

Thundracry walked through the party... He hated packed spaces like this. There was once a time when he had to fight in this kind of situation... I didn't end well. He looked around and out on a balcony. He flew up over it and dropped down on it making a loud clanging sound.

The mare glanced at Icy. "Gryphon has feelings for Rainbow. Hates the other pegasus for it. Could be used later." The mare said making sure to keep it short as to not amuse suspicion. She felt the need to migrate, so she began upstairs and could hear talking on a balcony nearby. She leaned against a wall across the hall and listened.

Dark groaned as she woke up. She then flew into the air for a bit of exercise.

 

A guard from the rouge NLR noticed Dark and glanced at Jake. "That dragon has been around here, recently. Do you think we should try to convert her to our ideals?" He asked. "She could be useful."

 

Tempest sighed and trotted into the palace. He noticed the mare and shrugged as he walked into the main hall.

Grabbing one last drink Icy slammed her head on the table. -All the time I've been here, I've yet to learn anything-

Random stallions would walk up to her and she would tell them what ever they wanted to hear so they could leave her alone. Still he thought that she should at least speak to some pony. Icy sat at the table waiting for someone to speak to her.

Tempest noticed Icy and sat at the table with her. "I hope you don't mind me sitting here." He said. "So, what brings you to the party?" There was no hidden meaning to what Tempest was asking. He just wanted to try and make the new mare feel welcome at the party.

"Hello I am Icy Night, but you can call me Icy" she lifted her head and looked at this pony. She thought of a lie to tell this pony.

"Yeah, I came to this party with a group of friends, but I'm not into parties so I stayed here on by my-self"  -Well I might try just know his name"

Thundracry looked at a mare on the ground floor of the party. He saw she was glancing around suspiciously. He decided to watch her more closely. No one else knew that Luna herself had contacted thundracry asking him to watch over the party. "Guns down eyes up for now" he thought to himself.

Tempest smiled. "You can call me Tempest." He said. The cyan pegesus could tell that Icy was lying, but he didn't really want to discuss that with her at the moment. He also wanted to know about Icy at the moment. "I haven't actually seen you around. Where are you from?"

Thundracry took his gaze off of the mare and looked a tempest talking to his friends. Luckily enough nobody had been paying attention to thundracry. They were all too busy with the party to notice him on the balcony looking in to the building. Some thing was wrong. He felt it but he stayed alert.

"Of course you wouldn't have seen me. I'm a traveler although I was born in Ponyville I've never been there. I like to explore places. plus I'm looking for some pony" Icy cursed her-self for saying that last part. 

"Don't get the wrong idea. He's nothing to me, I just to find him so I can keep a promise I did to some pony" Icy looked a little sad and took another drink.

sole just sighed and shook his head "I'm jealous because I..." he sighed once more "because I love her..." he said quietly "and I don't care if your as strong as a god, i'd do anything for her!" He said adamantly "so if you think I'm gonna give up on her just because of you, your dead wrong!"

Dash came back with two drinks and handed one to Blaze.

Sole grit his teeth, he didn't like where this was going. *alone...* he thought angrily "hey, what's the hurry?" He said calmly, trying to keep a level head "its not like the party just began or anything." He said sarcastically, as he quckly felt his anger building. *why am I getting so... angry?* he thought.

Crimson sighed in bordem as he sat at the bar wathing everyone else talk, "maybe I should go find luna and hang out with her....nah, she's probably busy talking with celestia anyway...." crimsons train of thought was broken as he saw tempest finish a conversation with a young mare, crimson raised an eyebrow and walked up behind tempest before tapping him on the shoulder, "hey, who's that mare you were talking to? She looks.....familiar somhow...." said crimson with a concerned look.

Tempest shrugged. "Her name is Icy." He said. "Why do you ask?"

 

Dash smiled. "Sole's right. I also think Celestia might give a speech soon." She said, trying to avoid a fight.

 

As soon as she said that, Celestia tapped on her glass and the room grew quiet. "If I could have everypony's attention, then I would like us all to remember the ponies who sacrificed their lives during the war." She said. "I would also like to thank the ponies who were able to make peace between the New Lunar Republic, and the Solar empire possible. Sole, Crimson, Rainbow Dash,Tempest Sol, and Dark Opal, I think I speak for all of Equestria when I say, thank you for making all of this possible.

 

The speech elicited a round of applause and cheers from most of the partygoers. A few even requested for Tempest and the other ponies who brought peace to sing.

Crimsons head shot up as he heard the cheers, he rubbed the back of his neck and grinned sheepishly, "thanks everyone, but I don't think I'm gonna sing.....trust me, its not a good idea...." crimson then leaned close to tempest, "no reason....she just gives me a bad feeling.....that's all..." said crimson before quickly trying to refuse the crowds singing request again.

The mare walked out the door to the balcony and slipped Golden Age a note. She said, "Quite a party here." The note on the other hand read, 'Come to the NLR basein the Everfree and say the following phrase, I'd like to join the pack.'

Tempest smiled at Celestia's speech. He then heard everypony requesting that he and the others sing. He also noticed that the others had declined and smirked. "Somepony get me a microphone." He said, as he flew onto the stage. He then grabbed a microphone and started playing a familiar tune on a electric piano

Jake shrugged. He walked along, moving quickly and prepped. He had a rope slung around his back. He began turning a wheel around that lifted an animal cage. As he did this, he said to himself. "And the whole kingdom of Equestria calls me a maniac."

Sole sighed, feeling a little angry and depressed now. That song made him think of discord. "Yeah right dashie!" He said with a scoff "you're a wonderful singer, at least I think so!" He said encouragingly "don't be ashamed, I think your great!" He said cheerfuly with a large grin.
