Well I wrote Cinder, Scribe and Symphony at the same time to bounce off each other: Cinders concept was 'Brilliant, but completely oblivious to the outside world.' Which naturally evolved into what she is now

 

It's 1pm where I am, how is it we seem to post at the same time when I literally live on the other side of the world? Lol.

Hey everypony, i thought you might be interested in seeing the REAL Silver. This is our miniature pony "Quicksilver" She's a silver dapple mare, and is about 8.5 hands high. She's won lots of prizes in shows and performance classes and we love her to bits. She inspired me to explore the possibility of a dappled MLP OC. thus Silver Note was born!

I've thrown together a couple more characters and could bring in Redwave to bulk up numbers if we're short? Ideally we could use a few more actual players but failing that I can handle two characters.

I'd usually prefer just one, but we don't exactly feel like a fighting force to be reckoned with at the moment.

 

If opportunity arises, I'll write him in. Don't just want to shoehorn him in for the sake of it.

That's true. Hopefully with your character and maybe some other people joining in we'll have a good number. I'd like 15, but that's just pushing it xD.

Ok, so if I do this, a bit of background.

 

Redwave is Scribes Cousin, so him and Cinder have a mutual connection, though they have never met and won't know each other.

 

He is a pirate swashbuckler, a mercenary and adventurer. Probably write him in as a hired freelancer sent to find out what happened to the team and the reinforcements.

Awesome, I'll see if he fits in anywhere. Probably the next time we hit an action scene.

 

On that topic, I kind of like how we seem to have action sections followed by social sections - adds a bit more depth than just one or the other.

We can probably tone it down a bit if you like, I think it makes it more interesting getting to know the characters better: just like writing a story, nobody cares about 'generic guy 043' getting killed, but damn, Lyona better get better!

heh heh, well I could always bring in another OC. I just finished a new PNG of my ponysona who I'm going to write up a history for. Mine and Cinder's OC could fight over her!

 

 

I agree on the depth of this role play far exceeding many that are out there on these boards. the character development, humor, romance and other little extra's seem to add, rather than take away from the adventure aspect of it. then when the action scene happen, you're very much into the characters of your fellow players and want them to survive, so your character, and player, are driven to protect the others because you know them so well. they aren't flat.

 

Oh by the way, congrats all in this RP our role play is now a red hot topic! Go us.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it better, though? It's still my first RP and I'm happy that it's good, but I still do need a little help... :3

Only thing I can suggest is maybe contact some of the  players who seem to have dropped out via PM and ask them if they are still interested in the RP and if not we can write them out of the script some how and bring in new players. We have a whole lot of wandering background ponies right now that maybe we could 'lose' in the woods or they die, and give some of us something to worry or grieve about. We we kill them off probably need that players permission to do so though. I think we can lose them with out permission though.

I'm doing the contacting thing, but I haven't thought of literally killing them. I just assumed that they got lost in the forest or went back 'cause they were too scared.

ok I've been assuming that they were there as background ponies and just even avoiding mentioning them but maybe it would be an interesting plot idea if we started noticing they were not there... if they want to return to the role play we could always 'find' them lost in the woods.

@@Scootalove, I wanted to mention here that even though Scootlalove is sort of writing Nocturne back in... this could be an illusion in her clouded mind since its not really our character to write in. The unicorn is actually an OC of Silent Dawn's so.... bad form to write for someone else's OC...  I suggest that it Is a delusion blaze is under from the other mysterious source that Lynette has been mentioning and not really the unicorn after all.

i actually think it all came together surprisingly well considering we were all posting at the same time and going different directions. Well done all what a FUN role play... we had a few guests watching too I noticed. I guess we are entertaining some non bronies who are watching the community.

 

so I've turned our RP into a musical theatre drama. LOL Sorry Lynette! I'm one CRAZY brony!
