As she was brought up to her hooves, she fell again. Lyona landed face-first in the dirt, which finally woke her up.

 

" What? What's happening?" The pegasus spun around, eyes wild and caked with dirt. She noticed Fireblaze.

 

" You're okay! What about the rest? Is anypony injured?" Lyona demanded, wings flared.

'' Not at all, it is just that we aren't really sane at all. So, we just have to go get to the others. Let's get into gear!''

 

Running very fast trying to catch up to the others, so we can locate them as quickly as possible.

Lyona relaxed slightly when she heard that everypony else was safe. She flew after Fireblaze, keeping pace with her.

" I'll miss you all as well." Lyona smiled sadly. " But, we have to keep our head in the mission. Where are they, 'Blaze? Weren't you with them?" She asked.

'' Well, I got separated from them when we were trapped in the cave. Now, Cinder and the others are pretty busy with Minty right now.''

 

She answered. Fireblaze keeps on putting up her pace, rushing and finally reaching the other ponies. '' We finally made it, yes!''

As Minty kept stumbling around the forest, trying to look for help or at least a possible escape, she kept rupturing wherever she wasn't hurt, as she tended to be very clumsy when she was hurt. Where's a wheelchair when you need one? Or at least help? ANYPONY? Dear Celestia, this hurts.

((Since Mike suggested the idea, and Minty is pretty much doomed otherwise, I'm going to temporarily stand in for a certain rhyming Zebra... which will be awful to read. Hope nobody minds!))

The Zebra knew better than to underestimate the forest: while she had lived there for years she understood that at any moment, a mistake could be her last. This was one of the reasons she was so surprised to find a bright green mare come crashing through the trees.

 

It wasn't the strangest thing she had seen in the forest, however.

 

"What is this which comes so scared? One who was to brave the forest dared?" She wondered in the direction of the intruder. "Come now dear, you look unwell. What has taken place, please tell?"

Walking off to try to find anypony in sight, she wanted to make sure that somepony is safe and sound.

Lyona facehoofed. Hard. Flakes of dirt and stuff fell off her face, proving how hard she had facehoofed.

As Minty was out of town during the whole Zecora incident and Ponyville finding out Zecora wasn't that bad, Minty was frightened at the sight of her. She quickly fell to the floor and covered her eyes. "T-Timberwolves.. wh-what are you? Who are you? Why are you here?" she stuttered fearfully.

'' Well, by a bit I mean slightly injured. But, I had to find you first so you could help us try to heal her injuries. It takes time though, to heal a injury for unicorns like myself.'' She tries to shake Lyona to get her to calm down.

"This place you see, it is my home. I fear not to walk these woods alone." Zecora smiled warmly at the cowering pony. "But to one who does not take care, they may prove too much for but one mare."

 

Stepping closer and offering a hoof to the clearly distressed pony, she tried to explain herself further.

 

"Zecora is the name I tell, and you my dear look quite unwell. Let me take you somewhere else where we may bring you back to health."

Silver was deep in his own thoughts. 

 

My songs don't work... he was telling himself. Minty didn't even hear me... and  Nopony likes them and they don't work the magic that they are suppose to... And ... my music attracted danger... Shining Armor was wrong about me.  I should just ... give up music. Ignore my cutie mark and do something else. Then Silver made a rash decision. "I'm never singing... AGAIN!"

 

he slowly dropped his saddlebag with his bugle, flute and horn to the ground.

 

He turned around to see if Minty was ok and noticed that she was.... gone? Dammit, I was too distracted!

 

"Where's Minty?" he asked Cinderblock who was fiddling with her potions. Then Silver heard the voice of Lyona.

 

 

" If anypony's injured, I'll come to you and fix your right up. Just call out for me, okay?" 

 

 

He looked briefly at his injured wing, then tucked it against his side. "No injuries here!" He said. Minty was worse off. He knew they needed to find her fast or she might die. His injuries weren't that important.

 

"Lyona, I'm so glad you and Fireblaze are safe. We need to find Minty fast. She's badly wounded, and the smell of blood will attract more trouble. Why'd she have to wander off like that!"

 

Silver turned to Fireblaze "Thank you for killing that timerwolf. You probably saved lives. You were....awesome"

"Minty? She was with you and Red...?" Cinder said, face going blank. "Don't say it, she's gone isn't she?."

She threw the belt around her neck, much more loosely than before and now resembling more of a bandoleer filled with bottles of thick, black liquid.

 

"Do you think she's with Red? I didn't see either of them leave..."

"No, she's not with Red," Silver answered. "He told ME to watch over her and he went the other direction to find the others...we've found everypony but impetus now, and Minty is just...vanished! Common Cinder, lets see if we can find them both. Minty shouldn't be too hard to find, there will be tracks and... blood... to follow."

 

Silver trotted to the edge of their clearing motioning for Cinder to follow, leaving is music bag lying on the ground.

Minty looked up surprised. "Y-you don't want to kill me? But you're.. you're.. striped.. are you a pony??" Minty asked, trying to get up, but incredibly failing. She decided to just stay on the ground for now; it would be safest.

The weight of the potions around her neck weighed her down. It felt strangely comfortable - like they were supposed to be there.

Minty smiled. She decided to trust this.. whatever she was. She grabbed onto Zecora's hoof, and started to stumble a bit. "Where do we go?" Minty asked unsurely as her hooves shuddered. They were threatening to push her down onto the ground again, but Minty's grip tightened, allowing her to stand.

"I have a place which is not too far, where I rest under the stars. There we can tend to your wounds..." She watched the pegasus stumble "... and you seem to need to rest quite soon."
 
Allowing the mare to rest against her sturdy frame for support, Zecora motioned into the forest, down a barely visible trail before starting to move at a brisk pace.

 
"Stray not far until the end, for the forest is not our friend."

Minty nodded, looking up ahead as she saw a hut. Finally, some shelter.. Minty thought. "Did you know we were here?" Minty asked the zebra curiously. She looked back at her friends' direction. I hope you guys are okay. She proceeded with being dragged to the hut.

"We need to find Minty, quickly, but he could be useful... I don't know." 

 

"I'm no fighter Cinder... If we run into trouble...I'm all but useless...we need Redwave with us." he told her. Glancing back at what he considered, his useless music bag.

 

"You stay here where it's safer... I'll go find Mr Wonder....ur.. Redwave." Despite all, Silver had developed a new respect for the red maned stallion."he fought so well and bravely... I need him to help me learn to fight" Silver decided silently. "Cinderblock could have died because I couldn't protect her. I've decided that my new destiny is to learn to use a weapon! Then I can be of real use to the Royal Guard and protect the ones I love."

 

Speaking of love...How could he show Cinderblock how he felt.. He knew he was too nervous to ever tell her. A song? No.. he'd vowed not to sing again. As he set off looking for Redwave and spotted some flowers at the side of the path. Pretty blue flowers.

 

 

 

 

 

"She'd just love these!" thought Silver. Ican give them to her as a token of my affections. He picked the flowers and since he no longer had a saddle bag, he tucked them under his hurt wing. "I'll surprise her with them when I get back!" he decided as he trotted off.

 

He didn't even notice the blue flowers fall to the ground as both his wings disappeared and several little blue spots replaced them. he also didn't notice that he was now the proud owner of a very dappled unicorn horn!

 

 

((OOC closest i could find since I'm too lazy to draw it at the moment. Had the idea for a while just waited for a moment to use it. Everypony stand back... he does NOT know how to use magic.)))

As they approached the smaller campsite, she motioned towards a simple shack, illuminated by a lantern.
 
"Inside, you will find a place to rest your head, I advise to stay awake for now instead. I shall return very soon so that I may tend your wounds."

Cinder caught herself before she said any more: something was still unusual about how she was speaking - much more confidently... most unusual.

Minty trotted into the small yet comfortable shack. "Thanks for your hospitality, Zecora. It means a lot." She sat down in a small chair and watched as Zecora trotted out of the shack to find a herb.

With that, she headed back towards the borders of the camp to search for some very specific herbs.

Finding his sword, he took a moment to pick off the charred remains of the Timber Wolf before sheathing it with a flourish. "Things are looking up!"
