Redwave lounged against a nearby tree trunk, in the same jaunty position he had assumed when he first found them.

 

"If we are working together I at least need to trust you. Perchance we find ourselves fighting back to back? I like to know I won't find a knife in mine."

 

He flicked his tail at a nearby bug, knocking it off of a branch.

 

"Think it over: If I had wanted your demise I simply would have left when I arrived in the first place. Tales of this place and its danger reach as far as Saddle Arabia, bickering like foals will only antagonise the situation."

Lyona ruffled her own mane, a little frown on her face. " Cinder, you need to rest. You're worrying me and Silver, being like this. At least go take a nap for a few hours. I'll keep an eye open to make sure nopony disturbs you. If you keep depending on your potions like this, it won't end well."

"But ma'am, I feel fine! Alert! I don't understand why everypony keeps telling me otherwise." Pausing for breath was for ponies who needed to think. Cinder didn't need to think, she simply spouted the words fully formed as they found their way into her head. "I can keep watch m'am, or scout ahead, or...

 

A whole wave of shuddering came over her, leaving her eyes feeling heavier.

Silver Note watched disgusted as Red swatted at a helpless moth. His face flushed with anger. 

 

"A knife in your back? You honestly think that I'd.... That's not who I am. I'd never harm anypony.  You don't know  thing about me. Why don't you just leave me alone?" Silver had had enough. He turned his back on the red maned stallion and stomped off to find another spot. Can't anypony get any peace around here? 

 

Go play hero with somepony else he thought. Mr Wonderfoal! I'm not buying into this.

 

 

((( OOC Gawwwwd... every time either of them make an attempt at peace...  Red says something that gets on Silver's last nerve and blows it. and probably vice versa. Mikestar was hoping for a better solution. Dammit  Silver stop stealing the computer off me! but yay, got to use a rare Rarity emoticon. )))

"No. I don't know you." Red seethed. "But your in the Everfree forest. If you think that a guard won't have to raise a hoof in defence of another then you're in for a rude awakening."

 

Fuming, he threw the rusty machete that had hurt Minty on the ground behind the retreating pony.

 

"Sleep easy knowing I have no intentions of betraying you, but the next time I try to save your crew? Stay out of my way."

She noticed Silver looking all huffy and puffy, while getting away from Redwave. She approached him.   " What's wrong? Why do you look so... Mad?" She inquired curiously.

 

"I don't want anything to do what that newcomer." Silver told Lyona. "He's done nothing but berate everypony, calling us names like blunderers and witches... and now accusing me of wanting to put a knife in his back, after nearly impaling me with one he threw himself...... No matter how much I dislike him... I'd never wish any harm on him. I'd even fight to protect the fool because that's who I am. I'm just sick of him." 

 

Silvers tone softened a little. he knew this wasn't Lyona's fault.

 

"You wanted me to take this mission serious when it started... said to stop prancing and laughing and carrying on... Well You got it. But lets just get this mission over with before I lose myself so bad I will never find Silver Note again."

She focused on Silver again. The pegasus opened her mouth to say something, but closed it again.

"I'm trying to stay out of his way... he approached me! I don't expect to get along with everypony ma'am. but ... usually I do... "

 

Silver had a few other things to say but felt it best to leave it at that. 

 

 I'm the one who took action when we were all discorded. Silver thought to himself. But even if he was a musician he wasn't one for blowing his own trumpet.

 

"I just want to be alone for a while" he told Lyona. (( OOC mainly cuz mikestar has to sleep)) 

 

"Tell Mr Wonderfoal to stay out of my way"

 

And at that, Silver stormed off into the surrounding woods.

Rubbing her eyes, yawning a bit loud in her tent. '' Good morning, everypony. I should go make some breakfast.'' Unzipping her sleeping bag, jumping out of her tent and trotting to the wood fire.

'' I am so hungry now.'' Gathering some food from the forest, throwing them into the wood fire. Cooking the food in the wood fire in the middle of the camping grounds.

Impetus wakes up. ((How ironic, I just woke up.))

 

"Oh, good. Everyone's still alive, eh? No casualties? Lots of fights with ourselves though. There should be a Royal Guard for the purpose of stopping Royal Guards from fighting amongst each other. Heh."

Redwave ambled about the clearing, brushing traces of dirt off of his coat with a hoof as he went.

 

"All business aside, I assume it is now you're turn to try to eject me from the area? Is that how this is going to play out?

Minty tried to get up, but the alcohol inside felt like it burned on her hoof. She winced in pain, and tried to take a step, failing as she limped and fell flat on her muzzle. 'This is gonna take a while..' she thought.

Minty nodded meekly. Every time she took a step, her hoof felt like she was getting stabbed over and over again. She bit her lip, trying not to cry. "O-ow.." she winced, her purple eyes clouding with tears. Her muzzle was bruised from the fall onto the gravel. She dashed over to the sleeping bag so she can rest herself, a monstrous stabbing feeling the whole way.

"I discovered your group yesterday as you were otherwise occupied. Some vile magic causing you and yours to fight amongst yourselves.

 

He waved about the camp.

 

"I had to respond with force to separate yourself from Minty, I trust you do not hold my actions against me too badly?"

She went back to her saddlebags, wanting to re-check her medical supplies.

Minty looked at her wing to check if it was still clipped from that tree on the first day. Minty felt stupid for not knowing its been healed. "Haha.. right." Minty looked at Silver storm off into the woods. She witnessed his and Redwave's fight. 'When will those two ever get along?' Minty thought. "I should go apologize to Silver when he comes back," Minty thought out loud. She sat on her sleeping bag as chaos drifted on with the group.

Eating her food, gathering up her stuff in her saddlebags and pouches.

 

'' I guess we are all ready to, get back on the road right?'' Trotting along with the group, completely unaware with what has happened earlier when she was eating her food.

'' I can't wait to continue on this mission.''

"No, no." says Impetus absently. "I could not hold something against you that I do not even recall, and I certainly couldn't if I was being tricked by some dark force to war against my friends. I, and I assume my friends as well, thank you, Redwave. It's nice to have another Royal Guard in the group."

Redwave shook his head, smiling.

 

"Not quite my friend, with exemption to the very exquisite amount of bits they are kindly providing, I have no ties to the guard."

 

He had thought it would be clear by his lack of uniform, but it seemed like the guard had relaxed the dress code recently: most of the party were wearing some form of none regulation attire.

 

"Wrong kind of Captain, my friend!"

Impetus' eyes widen slightly. "Well, if you aren't part of the Royal Guard, and you weren't sent by Princess Celestia... what are you doing here?" His eyes flicker to a knife lying a few feet away, then decides not to waste his energy.

 

If this newcomer wanted me dead, I'd be dead by now, Impetus admits to himself grudgingly.

"To the best of my knowledge, when your group failed to report, reinforcements were sent. When the reinforcements went dark...

 

Redwave made a show of a flourishing display with his sword before returning it to his side.

 

"They sent somepony more expendible. A mercenary, if you will: Yours truly."
