" Come on everypony, we have to get going." Lyona ordered, before going off to wake Cinder.

" Cinder? It's time to go. You've slept for two hours, we can't wait much longer. We'll rest again later, don't worry." She nudged her friend gently, before trotting off to Minty.

" Minty, wake up. We're going."  She shook the mint-colored pegasus with her hoof.

"Going where, might I ask?" says Impetus, arching an eyebrow. "Are we still going after that magical siren thingy, or are we just going to trek through endless forest, enjoying the beautiful scenery of murdering each other and having our coats seared off by fog... captain?"

'' Yes, ma'am!'' Responding to Lyona's order, following the group and at the same time watching her back for any attacks from behind.

 

'' I guess we still have more time left on this mission, until something jumps out trying to kill us.''  Fireblaze starts to feel a bit worried about what might happen on the rest of the mission.

" We're searching for the cause of all this. My compass detects the biggest malevolent force in this forest, so, we follow it. Do you want to come with us or stay behind alone, Impetus?" Lyona asked, narrowing her eyes. 

 

The pegasus then went off without waiting for an answer, to pack all their things.

"I kind of feel bad.. Redwave is trying his best to fit in, we're not doing anything to help him." Minty sighed as she went on with flying upside down, facing Lyona still. "I hope he's okay. Silver and Impetus sure aren't getting along with him." Minty looked down.

" If he wants to fit in, he will fit in. Redwave told me that he doesn't aim to make friends, so he's not even trying. Silver and Impetus have their differences with him, and they probably decided that it wasn't worth the heartache." Lyona shrugged. " Nothing I can do. "

"Ugh... Just ten more... days..."
 
Cinder rolled over and pushed herself to her hooves despite her tiredness. She shuddered a little, but on a much less noticable scale to before.

 

"Cinderblock, ready for... Ugh, my head, what happened?"

 

She wasn't one for drinking, but this reminded her of the morning after that one time...

Red glanced around - he wasn't concerned: He had decided to help and he was going to see things through whether they wanted him there or not. He had his pride, and he doubted these ponies would make it through the forest without a good sword at their side.

 

'And somepony needs to look after the more fragile ones.'

"Silver looked mad when Redwave was fixing my hoof. Wonder why.." Minty asked. She still refused to turn right side up. She thought it was comfortable. She eyed Redwave and looked at Impetus still yelling at him. She winced at the sight and sighed.  "I wish I can help."

Minty flew over to Redwave right side up. "Um, Redwave? Are you okay?" she said sheepishly.

" Don't ask me, I'm no expert on these social things. But I know one thing. Don't interfere. They need to sort it out themselves." Lyona warned. She heard Cinder's voice behind her.

" You overhyped on your energy potions when you haven't slept at all." Lyona called.

"I feel... like I've just been hit by a cart."

 

Grumbling in self pity under her breath she fell in with the rest of the group.

"Quite alright thank you Minty. I appreciate your concern." Redwave answered. Perhaps he didn't care about making friends, but this mare truly was the sweetest thing he had ever met.

 

"How is your hoof? I cannot even begin to describe my regret that I had to use the alcohol - If there was another way I would have taken it. I know it can be... uncomfortable."

"Well, my hoof hurts every now and then because the alcohol is stinging it, but I'm okay, really." Minty smiled. "I'm sorry that Silver and Impetus are being mean to you. They aren't like that, but they're pretty loyal to the group. They'll trust you later, I promise." Minty assured Redwave.

"It's quite fine Minty. They don't trust me and thats quite understandable." A little unwarranted, he thought, after saving them from themselves, but understandable.

 

"I appreciate everything you are trying to do for me, truly I do, but I don't want to come between you and your friends. I am certain that they have each others best interests at heart."

"I have you, do I not?" He said, glancing sideways towards her - finding the corners of his mouth twitching into something resembling a smile.

 

"So long as they let me do my duty and assist you we will get along professionally, at any rate."

 Then a dark thought struck Minty: So he only sees us as friends.. Minty looked away, and nodded weakly. "Um, y-yeah." she said, her voice cracking. Her heart shattered, and she looked down. "Yeah, we're friends." Minty looked down and tried her hardest not to cry in front of Redwave. Believe it or not, this emotional pain was worse than the pain she feels down in her hoof.

"Are you quite all right, sweet thing?" Redwave Slowed and cocked his head to the right, his tentative smile quickly fading as he watched Minty's reaction.

 

"Minty? Whats wrong? I thought we were friends, but If you no longer wish to be associated with me then that is no dilemma, theres no need for..."

"I.. I'm fine." Minty said sadly. "We're friends." Minty gave Redwave a reassuring smile. "I'm okay, really.." Minty said, holding Redwave's chin up with her hoof. She still felt sad, but she wouldn't dare put a damper on Redwave's mood. She put her mane over her eyes as she looked at the sky, trying to soothe herself.

Red sighed. He wasn't quite sure what was wrong, but the only mare to actually put her trust in him wholeheartedly had suddenly become a lot more distant.

 

'Whatever it is, forget about it. Doesn't help to start making friends and... other things. Just get the job done and get out.'

 

Still, he couldn't help but be concerned...

Minty looked at Redwave. "I'm okay. Cheer up," She assured. "It's okay, just forget about it. It's just a personal problem." Minty looked at Redwave silently. Although she was telling him there was nothing to worry about, she still was heartbroken. Maybe he likes somepony else. Minty thought. "Are you okay?"

"... Ahem, personal problems." He tried to change the subject. "Don't worry yourself about me. I'd like to know more about you."

 

Waving up into the distance he continued in his usual dramatic tone.

 

"I'm on open book, so to speak, of stories and adventures! But you... I know precious little about you."

Minty suddenly had a nervous look on her face. "It's nothing," she said, scratching behind her ear. "I can't really say anyways.." Minty sighed. "I think I already know what you'd say anyway. Don't worry about it, I'm not feeling that bad." Minty tried to smile, but it faded right away when she thought of the heartbreak.

"I had to respond with force to separate yourself from Minty, I trust you do not hold my actions against me too badly?"

Silver heard the sound of movement in the camp and flew over it watching everypony pack and get ready to move. he swooped down towards Lyona

 

"I can follow from the air, keep an eye on everypony from above." he told her. He really didn't want to be on the ground, anywhere near a certain earth pony stallion with a huge ego. "How is Cinder?" he asked, glancing over at her. "I can see that Minty is.... " he looked her way and saw her deep in conversation with wonderfoal.... "just fine"

 

Silver wandered over to Fireblaze's fire and ate some of the breakfast quietly. turning to her he asked quietly "Are you ok now Fire? Do you remember anything?"

Fireblaze watching Minty and Redwave talk to each other, but she stays at a safe distance.

 

'' I guess, I'm not the only mare around here who is having a strange feeling of romantic passion for somepony. No!.. I mean a weird feeling for somepony who sort of has a very special somepony.'' She starts to think to herself, scratching her ear. '' I'll never admit that I do like somepony.'' Thinking to herself very quietly of course.

 

'' Don't worry, I'm fine Silver. Why do you ask?''

'' Don't worry, I'm fine Silver. Why do you ask?''

 

Silver smiled for the first time in a long while.

 

"Well Fire, just take a look around," he said indicating the charred and burnt woods. "Your handy work, but you were under some kind of spell. Drastic action had to be taken to break you out of it."  Silver couldn't help but snicker a little.  I'll leave you with your fire, I'm taking to the air for a while. It's more peaceful up there."

 

(( Sorry don't have any dramatic plot idea's in my head this morning))

Impetus wanders around, wondering who to make useless, dramatic, idle conversation with. He begins to converse with a tree in a philosophical debate, and after a few minutes, he admits defeat. He starts a relationship with a rock, and he's not sure what he did to make her mad, but she gave him the silent treatment, and they broke up.

 

Yep, Impetus is bored.

She starts to wink over at Silver smiling.

 

'' That was my bad don't worry, we put that behind us of course.'' Fireblaze looks at the charred and burnt woods. '' I know that Impetus took one for the team but, we all know that was not a real kiss. So enjoy, the fresh air.'' She walks away from the camp fire, grabbing some beautiful flowers from a bush.
