Minty nodded. She looked about in the hut. She didn't want to touch anything, because she didn't want to break anything. That would end badly.

Impetus shakes his head, picking himself up from a ditch. My friends... where'd they go? How'd I get here? What the hay is going on? They left me here? And here I just thought we were getting close. No, they probably just forgot about me- or maybe they're in trouble elsewhere and can't afford to come back for me. Not sure which of the possibilities I'm hoping for... hey, is that a shack?

 

Impetus dusts himself off and takes a few cautious steps towards Zecora's shack, noting the flicker of movement inside.

Silver spotted Redwave collecting his sword from beside the fallen timberwolf. "Great, there he is, hey Redwave..." he rushed forward excitedly, not realizing that a bluelight was starting to form around his new horn. As the adrenaline in him began to rush, the blue light intensified and a powerful beam shot out of it, filled with musical notes that caused a large sound wave to form. It hit the tree's in a blast of sound just beyond Redwave, causing their branches to crumble to dust.

 

"That the hay?" Silver asked, astonished. He glanced around at himself. "My wings are gone!" He patted the top of his head...

 

"I'm a unicorn! what kind of a joke is this?" Silver had never seen poison joke before and knew very little about it, but he could GUESS what had just happened.

 

"Oh great!"

Zecora entered the room again quietly, taking the herbs to a table before beginning to cut, crush and mix them carefully. After a moment she turned to Minty.

"Now, my friend, you must rest. I have brought a medicine to do the rest." 
 
She passed a glass of clear liquid to Minty.

 

"So, you know of me now I ask the same, would you care to tell your name?"

"What in the blazes!" Bellowed Red as the musical burst soared overhead, too surprised to even draw his newly recovered weapon. "Who..? What..? Silver?!" He stared. "What did you DO?!"

He opened and closed his mouth a few more times while he tried to comprehend what he was seeing, finally deciding on simply asking "Why aren't you with Minty?"

Minty nodded. "My name is Minty," she said. "Would this really work?" Minty asked suspiciously. "Would it cure all my wounds?" she asked. She shifted uncomfortably in the chair. She looked around at all the tiki masks in the room and all the potions.  So this is what a zebra's home looks like.

She nudged the clear liquid.

"I just ... I... well I was... just... and then... and after that... and I...."

 

Aaaaaaarrrrrg I'm a unicorn!" The heat of his emotions exploded in the form of a red beam which shot off into the sky causing a sound boom to ripple through the tree leaves and up into the clouds.Trying hard to gather his senses, Silver rushed over to Redwave.

 

"I touched some poison Joke by mistake, I was looking for you because Minty ran off  and we need your help to find her... I need your help.. because I don't know how to use weapons.. and now worse... I'm a bucking unicorn! You have to help me Redwave... if Cinder see's me like this she..." Silver stopped himself mid sentence and placed his hoof over his mouth. He couldn't admit how he felt about Cinder to this of all ponies.  "I don't know how to control the magic" he said,trying to change the subject. "I need to find Blaze until we can get me back to normal.... If we can... Gah... why do these things always happen to me? YOu were right... I'm nothing but a 

 

screw up!"

 

Silver plummeted to the ground covering his head with his hooves, waiting expectantly for Redwave to taunt him.

 

"Go ahead... say it..."

 

 

((OOC so the last element of friendship Silver has to master is magic so this is sort of how it's happening. LOL. Poor bugger.)))

Minty watched as Zecora kept pouring the necessary herbs into the mix. "I hope this works. Redwave must be devestated. So, do I just drink this?" Minty asked.

"Indeed, my potion you should drink, and then rest, I think. You will feel better when you wake, though it may take time to recuperate. Should you need me, simply shout. I shall be someplace about." 
 
And with those parting words, the Zebra closed the door and left Minty alone in the hut.

Minty nodded. She looked down at the peculiar drink. "Guess I'll just have to find out whatever this is." Minty took the drink and drank it all in one gulp. She started to get drowsier and drowsier, until she drifted off to sleep. She was sleeping near a lot of potions, making it look like she was trapped.

Impetus, shortly after Zecora exits the shack, rushes in. "Wake up! What did she do to you? What is that thing? That striped... pony creature thing. Are you alright, Minty?" he hisses. "What is this place?" he whispers.

"You're a.. you..." Completely lost for words Red simply threw his hooves up into the air. "Minty... ran off? What do you mean? Where is she? Show me!" He waited for a moment for Silver to start moving before he snapped.   "To the waves with your damn wings!" He yelled. "Show me!"  

 

Silver blinked for a moment, trying to bring his mind back to what was important. Swallowing his pride, he refocused on Minty's well being.

 

"This way," He said, indicating with his horn which shot out several musical notes, ruffling the tree leaves as the sound of an orchestra filled the air.

 

"Gaaaah! I need something to cover up this thing with!" he said in frustration.

 

Cinder is going to really think I'm a feather brain now! he thought miserably. Everything he cared about seemed to be being taken from him all over again.

 

"This isn't funny" he snapped as he passed by the blue flowers.

 

Silver led the way back to camp, ready for the worst.

Fireblaze finds her way back to the camp, looking over at the others.

 

'' Well I found our prestigious leader Lyona, so now we can try to get things back on track right now.''

 

Running over to Silver Note, giving him a very light hug.

Silver stopped in his tracks. 

 

"Fireblaze! You're not surprised that I'm a ...... unicorn?"

 

He disentangled himself from the over amorous mare. "This is serious... I need your help Fire. I'm not use to being horny!" Silver then covered his mouth with his hoof and blushed right down to the tip of his tail bone.

 

"I ... I mean.... I don't know how to control magic... I've always avoided it!" Silver knew he was taking a huge risk getting close to Fireblaze...what with her having developed this silly crush on him... but how could he help to help the others unless he could control the sudden outbursts of energy from his horn.

 

"How do you stop it just...bursting out when ever you feel any emotional energy inside? Minty's life is depending on us and I'm

 

A UNICORN!"

 

Silver waved his hooves around dramatically.

'' I'll see what I can do, Silver Note. Now, hold still this might sting a little.''

 

Putting her hoof on Silver Note's horn, shooting a huge burst of magic on her horn. The burst of magic causes Silver Note's unicorn horn to vanish out of existence. '' Now, I guess that I missed out on this dramatic feeling that feels like a soap opera.''

 

Waving her hooves up pretty dramatically.

"Thank you" Silver said with relief. He was tempted to hug the mare but thought better of it. Can't encourage her!

 

" Even if I still don't have any wings... at least there will be no more of that magic nonsense happening" he said with a toss of his head.

 

A loud blast of music filled the air and energy shot out from where Silver's unicorn horn use to be visible.

 

'GAAAaaaaah! It's still there, it just can't be seen now is all.' Silver said in frustration. He wasn't sure which was worse.. .having a unicorn horn or having an invisible unicorn horn! " Fireblaze, I touched poison Joke. Your magic won't be able to reverse it. I don't know anything about poison joke... but I know there is only one special way to get it's effects off. Lyona would know. maybe even..." Silver gulped at the thought "Cinder would know..."

 

Oh I so dont' want to face her like this...Silver thought. "Look, you might as well just make it visible again, at least then everypony can see if it's starting to glow and can warn me. In the mean time... Tell me how to channel this magic so I don't hurt anypony....Please Fireblaze"

"READ!" Silver gasped. "But Fireblaze... I can't read! Not a single word. Not even my own name. confound it all.. that poison Joke really knows how to get under your fur." 

 

Silver noticed the blank look on Fireblaze's face.

 

"I'm illiterate!" he explained in an exasperated tone.

 

"This isn't funny" he told the blue spots where his wings use to be. "don't think I can learn to read in time to be of much use...'

 

"LYONA!" He yelled, hoping his leader would have some idea what to do.

 

"Forget it... lets just find Minty. She's in way more trouble than I am follow me"

 

Silver picked up Minty's tracks and followed them into the woods.

 

((OOC so maybe they are about to run into some trouble on the way... who knows.)))

'' I guess the spell book was definitely not worth it, since you can't read.''

 

'' Do you want me to teach you magic then, Silver? Even though you are worried about Minty being okay or not, like I am too.''

"Well until we find her, maybe you could teach me some of the basics... and maybe a little it about how to read?"

 

At least she's not trying to kiss me He thought to himself. 

 

Trying to distract his thoughts Silver added "I hope Cinder and Redwave are having better luck finding Minty than we are... Cinder will wonder why I didn't go back for her! In all honestly Fireblaze... I was too embarrassed to have her see me like this... I..."he cut himself short. He really didn't want anypony to know how he felt about Cinderblock.

 

Silver thought quietly to himself. "If Cincerblock doesn't feel the same.. she will start feeling awkward around me like I do around Fireblaze and then she will avoid me and I'll lose even the friendship we have... I can't let her find out!"

"Dang it... i forgot about you reading minds! " Silver said in frustration.

 

The frustration shot out of his now visible horn and hit a tree in a blast of trumpet sounds.

 

"Sorry about that" he said to Fireblaze with a sheepish grin on his face. Then with concern in his voice he said to her.... "It's not that I don't think you're a pretty filly... I do! You're extremely cute. It's just that... I'm in love with somepony else and since you can read minds... you know who it is.... and you also know why I can't tell her about it." Silver sighed. "The right somepony is out there for you somewhere Fire. It's just... not me."

 

He placed a reassuring hoof on her shoulder.

 

"Now back to business... what do I do about this sudden outburts of energy?"

'' Well, the only thing you can do about it is try not to use your horn only in emergencies only. Like being attacked, or to move past obstacles in your way.''

 

Looking over at Silver Note, rolling her eyes at him.

 

'' Look I heard the same speech from Lyona, I know that you don't like me. I'm okay with that.''

'I do like you" he said defensively. "Just not in THAT way... as a friend!"

 

"Ok so I can levitate things can I...let me practice on that small rock over there...

 

Silver Note aimed his horn at it, causing several large boulders to shoot up into the air making the sound of a symphony orchestra as they did so. The crashed to they ground with a loud 

 

*BANG BANG BANG*

 

"Oops... This isn't going to be easy to get the hang of... What now oh temporary mentor of mine?"
