"is that the only one you have or do you have all six of them?" Blue cautiously stuck his head back into the train

"The previous owner of that thing you have there... I saw him get blown up, do you have any idea what you are holding?"

"Holding... the Elements of Harmony? I'm not stupid." He said and put the Element back to his bag.

"Chill out, I didn't blow up that pony that you're talking about."

He took a step back.

"I just found them in a house... I swear, they were surrounded by magic and all that. You heard a whistle before? That was me when I found these!"

Maybe Johnny needs some help... There's nothing to do here. Cleo thought, walking out of the building.

Blue was probably heading there, I'll follow him. She decided.

 

As she trudged through the snow, she saw Blue in the distance with some other pony. She quickly picked up her pace, scowling.

Blue nodded and stuck his head back into the train "Well... congratulations, those elements you're holding onto... has earned you a personal bodyguard... for now" Blue found an empty gym bag on the train "extra inventory space" Blue stood up and looked at the horizon.

"CCCccckkk... Fluro Blue, come in this is Hub" Blue's radio crackled, Blue picked up his mic and responded

"Hub its me! what took you so long?" Blue's radio crackled

 "we've been having weather issues down here... seems like Equestria's cold climate is spreading to our country... so... how's Equestria?" 

"Chilly... but nothing too hard for me to handle, good to hear from home again" 

"good to hear from you too, errm... its been 2 years and around 3 months... we've been keeping track of you... sorta"

"Hey... its kinda soon to ask but can I get a lift home?"

"negative, I am being nagged at by the lieutenant, he's telling me to remind you about your mission in Equestria"

"Its been 2 years, I forgot ehh.. reminder please?

"*sigh* your mission was to retrieve the relics and get to extraction, since you're 2 years late... extraction no longer exists so you'll have to improvise... get a boat or something"

"ok, promise me the navy wont shoot me when I arrive home hehehe"

"I cant promise you that... well Hub's gonna get hit again... we're gonna loose coms again ... out"

Blue stared at the radio "feels good to hear from home"

Blue packed his rifle and looked around then at Pyxel "you heading somewhere?"

Pyxel smirked.

"Not at the moment. You expect me to come with you? If you have friends back at your place, you'd gang up on me and take the Elements."

He spotted Cleo running at them.

"Hey, Blue? You know her? Or are your gang members coming? Was that the radio? Just a signal to your fellows?" He asked and pulled out his guitar as a weapon.

Straight wanted to answer Cleo. But he knew that all he would do is make her mad. Not saying anything didn't set her off since she left. But now he was tied up in the house with no one around.

"I could just get out of here. But I need them to trust me. I don't know why they called me a spy. I can't even remember how I got that carrot. Oh that's something I can do while I wait."

Straight used his magic to empty his food bag. Anything that wasn't factory sealed was thrown into the fireplace and burned. What was left was some canned goods (like Filthy Rich's Chunky stew) and the stuff that couldn't have been drugged like his beef jerky. He's had that since they got here. Finally he whipped out his cigarette box for a smoke.

"What the?"

Some cigarettes were missing.

"Hey, Blue? You know her? Or are your gang members coming? Was that the radio? Just a signal to your fellows?" He asked and pulled out his guitar as a weapon.

 

Cleo's eyes narrowed, and she ran faster to the two ponies. She skidded to a stop in front of them, her gun out. " Who the hell are you?" Cleo demanded. Seeing the guitar, she pulled out her own battle axe/guitar mash-up. Cleo placed it on her shoulder, smirking.

"No I can assure that I didn't radio my mates to jump you, besides... they're overseas... not in Equestria, what harm can they do to you from there?... besides a long range missile" Blue looked ath Cleo coming from the distance.

"yeah... that's Cleo... she's quite edgy... don't tick her off"

"Awwwhhhh....... look at that! you're soo cute!, both of yous have guitars" Blue dropped down and packed his radio "Cleo, you have a friend to play music with, hopefully the music will stop you from using that guitar for the wrong reasons"

"Well, looks like your buddies sent a missile already."

He chuckled.

Pyxel put his guitar back.

"That is one badass thing. Where did you get that?" He said, pointing to Cleo's guitar.

" University. My friend found it for me." Cleo narrowed her eyes, having noticed Pyxel's little slip up. What did he find? " It's the perfect weapon to kill somepony while playing. Gives them a nice song to die along with. Which song do you want?" She smirked, running a gentle hoof across the sharp edge.

Pyxel gulped.

"Hey, chill. No need to shed unnecessary blood here."

He stepped back, trying to predict any of Cleo's moves.

"For the songs, though... how about your best? Not the song but... you know, play me the best you can come up with."

His guitar fell besides him as he sat down on a bench, that was surprisingly still standing.

" I'm really rusty on the guitar, haven't played since the cold hit. But, I might as well try it, huh?" Cleo grinned, getting into her playing position. ​I missed this song... Good thing this guitar is magically amplified too. With another smirk, she began playing.

After the song was over, Pyxel clapped.

"Rusty? The hell you talking about? You should hear me play!"

Pyxel got up and grabbed his guitar. He choughed a couple of times and started playing.

Blue sat there and listened to the ponies play out their music  

"I just realized... that was the firs time I've heard music in two years" Shivers ran down Blue's spine "feels weird.... its been so long"

Blue pulled out his radio and checked the frequencies, nothing but static. 

"Well... thanks for the songs guys, but we better move out... its not safe to play music outside like this"

" As much as I hate to say this, I agree." Cleo put her guitar away. " Is the university still surrounded? Johnny wants to rebuild it, and I'm pretty strong so I can help." Now that Cleo had played music once, she couldn't wait to play again. I forgot how awesome playing on a guitar is...

After a while, Raze found himself back near the entrance of the university, which wasn't all that damaged. He didn't find anyone there, so he decided to walk around, checking if anyone--friend or foe--had survived the blast.

 

"Hello? Anyone still alive that isn't a bandit?" he yelled.

Johnny was also at the entrance, putting the finishing touches on his fortified gate "hey there, im just finishing this gate, its a good thing those bandits arent demo experts, their bombs, while they had a lot, wernt that big, and they dont know anything about structural support" he chuckled "they made a whole lot of noise thats for sure! thats not to say they were completely harmless, there are a lot of repairs that need to be done, in the theater especially! a whole chunk of roof fell!" he sighed "i hope the rest of the group finds their way back here, this place is still livable, and fixable, i just need a way to contact them..."

He catched the gold nugget and stuffed it in his bag.

"Okay, I have no idea what I'm going to do with this, but thanks anyway."

He spotted a blade under the snow and started digging.

"Now, I might actually come..."

The blade that Pyxel had dug out, was a machete type of thing.

"University? The last time I saw it, somepony was shooting at it. Got away as fast as I could from there."

Cherry woke up after passing out to hear music. "It can't be." She thought. So she shook the snow off her head and looked around. "Would help if it wasn't snowing." She shook off the rest of the snow that covered her to suddenly feel the pain from the explosion when she moved. "I just gotta get going and ignore it." She told herself.

 

So she did just that and stumbled towards the source of the music. She began to see a group of ponies in the distance. It may be a good idea to call out to them as they look familiar. No. She's still not close enough to be sure who they are.

 

As she got closer, she became even more certain of who they were. So she called. "Hey, it's Cherry!"

Cleo turned around in a flash, her gun ready. She relaxed when she saw that it was Cherry, and started trotting to her.

 

" You look beat up. What the heck happened, and where were you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. She better have not betrayed us like Straight did.

"What in the world happened to her?" He asked himself.

*Wait... there's more and more of these ponies coming in now...*

"Hey, uh... what in the world was her name... uhh... Cleo! Is there even more of you? Like a gang or something? Because um... well, I got a place of my own but it's all... you know, broken down pretty much... I was thinking, could I join you and your friends? If not, then that's fine by me, I'm just asking... as a friend."

Pyxel smiled, hoping that Cleo would accept his offer.

*As a friend? You just met these ponies like two seconds ago! Well I might get some proper shelter there! But the Elements? They'll discover sooner or later... they'll think of you as a murderer! This is my only chance! I could get some proper shelter, maybe just for a few days... plus, protection.*

Cleo looked back from Cherry. " Yes, there's more. No, we're not a gang. Fine, you can join us. But I don't count you as a friend, even if we both like music." She turned back to the wounded mare.

" I don't have much medical supplies, but here." Cleo offered her some bandages. I'm being awfully nice... Well it's just that there's no time to mistrust anypony now. She argued with herself.

It had been hours now, tied up in that house. Straight was still sitting there.

"Where could they be? I thought they were coming back to 'deal' with me." he thought to himself.

 

"I see you're getting along fine without me" Heartbeat was at the front door. She closed the door behind her and sat down on her haunches to look at Straight.

 

"Heartbeat? What are you doing here? I thought you were trying to get close to Steel?" This was weird. She was never this close.

 

"That plan failed when he attacked your group. I expect Steel calling you out as a spy put you here."

 

"Yeah it did, but they had already expected me a spy because they tried the food... wait. Why did he call me a spy? And why did the food you give me have drugs in it? What is going on?"

Pyxe jumped in the air.

"You are the best! Seeya! Gotta gather my stuff."

With a loud whistle, he ran bak to his base and started gathering up his stuff, that mostly contained papers and some music discs.

"Bam! We're ready to gooooooooooo,,, Which way did I came from?"

He looked around started going the wrong way. He eventually made his way to the group's base. Stepping inside, he noticed two ponies talking, one tied up.

"Oh... um... do Cleo and her group live here?" He asked awkwardly, getting out his new blade just in case.
