"How should I know? Cleo and her entourage haven't been back in hours. They could be in the next city for all I know," Straight turned to Heartbeat, "My question still stands. Why would they call me a spy when I don't remember ever being one. And why was the food you gave me drugged?"

 

"No more secrets" thought Straight.

 

"I came up with the spy story. It was to get you back to your group without getting shot. The drugs were put there because one of my followers misheard me." Heartbeat was honest for a change.

 

"So here I am, tied up because your plans failed. Nice reunion. Now they will never trust me."

Pyxel put his machete down and shrugged.

*I guess I'll just stay here for a while... though, Cleo DID mention the university.*

He sat down in a corner, his guitar and saddlebags with the Elements and records besides him.

Sudddenly, some packs of food flew to the food that already was there as Redstorm and Acid stepped in.

"Straight? Are these your gang members? Oh, of course they are! Who would visit you otherwise!"

Redstorm took out his rifle and aimed it at Heartbeat and Straight, while Acid aimed at Pyxel.

"Now, what's going on in here? No sudden moves, or you're dead!"

" Since everypony else has run off now, we'd better go follow them. And, you're welcome." Cleo responded, squinting through the snow. " Oh, this guitar? Yeah, thanks. It's a guitar and an axe, so it's obviously awesome."

 

(Pyxel has already run off, he's at a house not too far from the uni where Heartbeat and Straight are as well.)

Raze nodded at Johnny. "Well, let's just hope they're not far off. I could possibly help you a bit with the repairs; all I need are some resources and some tools to actually do any sort of repairing. You wouldn't happen to know a place here that has these things, would you?"

"Okay, lets get going then." So they started moving in the direction of the others. Cherry thought she might as well talk about Cleos guitar a bit more to take their minds off how serious everyone and thing was. "So when you play the guitar, do you ever cut yourself on the axeblade?"

" Nope. It's magic, I ain't gonna explain sh-" Cleo was interrupted when she heard yelling. " C'mon, we gotta go!"

Cleo ran into the room. " What the hell is going on, and who is that pony?" She pointed an accusing hoof at Heartbeat. " Acid, put your gun down. That pony's with us."

Acid lowered his gun.

"S-sorry..." He muttered with a sheepish grin.

"As you can see, there's a newcomer! Chatting happily with the spy! Probably one of his gang members!"

Pyxel got up.

"I thought the mare was one of yours! I played a song with Cleo and she allowed me to stay here!"

Redstorm smirked.

"That's really what she would do... but since she said you're with us.."

"Anyway, who are you and what do you want?" He asked, turning back to Heartbeat.

Cleo stood near Redstorm, her gun raised at Heartbeat.

Lyona flew downstairs to see what all the fuss is about. " Can't anypony get any sleep around here?" She grumbled. Lyona looked at Heartbeat, finding something familiar about her. Did I see her before...?

Once again staring down a barrel of a gun.

 

"You want me to talk? Put the guns away," Heartbeat replied, "I believe we all have had enough threatening and shooting for one day. Especially from Cleo."

 

Straight was still tied up, but couldn't believe how much authority Heartbeat was throwing around. She'd change since that happened.

Redstorm signaled the others to put their guns down.

"Alright, now talk." He said to Heartbeat once he had put his rifle away.

Pyxel stood up.

*I get a feeling the Elements are mixed to this...*

"You know what? Maybe I should go..." He muttered and slowly started walking to the doorway.

"You aren't going anywhere until we hear some answers from this mare right here! Sit back and enjoy the show."

Pyxel sighed and took a slow step back.

"Now would the mare kindly talk?" Redstorm demanded.

"All right, In case you don't know who I am, I'm Heartbeat. Leader of the last group other than Steel in Fillydelphia. That was until recently when my ponies heard that Steel and his group stormed the university. They didn't see the aftermath but they thought that we were doomed and fled. They are most likely frozen solid outside of town."

 

"Now as of events today." She pointed a hoof at Straight Shot "Straight was not a spy for Steel. I planted that rumor right in Steel's mouth to keep Straight from being gunned down while entering the university. He wants Steel dead as much as you and I do."
 

Heartbeat paused for questions and comments.

"well, the near by armory would have some,  along with additional guns and ammo of course, also if you see any get some magic locks for the gate" he lifted the gate for raze to walk out, once he was outside he lowered the gate, he then lowered his head and started communicating with Cleo -where are you and whats going on?- @@LittleRawr,

Heartbeat paused for questions and comments.

 

After a pause Heartbeat continued

 

"The drug that was in the food was not meant for any of you. It was actually supposed to be apart of a peace offering to Steel. My cohorts mixed up the food and put it into Straight's bag. The drug is meant to cause hallucinations and weaken the victim. It came from my lab where I mixed it. Are you satisfied with my explanation of what happened? Or are you just going to shoot us anyway?"

I'm at a house, where we ended up after going through the sewers . Cleo thought back to Johnny. Her eyes narrowed at Heartbeat. There's some pony who's basically claiming to be our friend. I don't trust her...

Meanwhile, Lyona was still trying to remember where she had seen the mare before. C'mon, brain, think! Where did I see her? She seems so dang familiar...

" Y'know, I remember that you said the raiders wouldn't damage the university, and that you didn't like me shooting at the library floor. Kinda funny, 'cause they blew the friggin' university up. And why the heck was Straight with you?" Cleo said

"Yes I did say that. But I wouldn't call Steel a raider. He's a monster. From the beginning the groups in Fillydelphia tried to keep order and tried to maintain the city and the university. Steel never followed those rules. He believes he is above those rules and anypony who agreed with him joined up. That was months ago."

 

Once again Heartbeat pointed at Straight.

 

"Straight here was scouting out the city when I came across him. I'm his source for most of the information he reported back to you. We're allies. And like I said, he's not a spy."

Blue stayed on the train despite the other ponies being busy, "I really miss home now" Blue's gut churned, he felt homesick, a feeling that he had forgotten has come back. Blue felt really worried about home "I'll find my way back, I always do" Blue bucked open a few cabinets and looked for supplies.

" Aha!" Lyona exclaimed, a memory returning to her! " I remember who you are now! You're that mare whose younger brother... died." She bit her lip. " And Heartbeat kept running away from him... Well, it seemed like it."

Cleo narrowed her eyes, looking at Lyona. " It was at the campfire, right? When you and Straight went all weird?" Lyona nodded, and murmured something to the earth pony. Cleo then looked back at Heartbeat. " Y'know, after that, a normal pony would want to take revenge..." Thoughts started to surface in her mind, thoughts about how long Straight was gone for.

Redstorm blinked.

"Does that mean we tied up Straight for no reason?"

A small chuckle escaped his mouth.

"Ohkaay... did you say you have a group of your own or something? We could wipe Steel out maybe."

He sat down, looking at the rest of the group.

"What do you think?" He asked nopony in particular.

Both Straight and Heartbeat gave a sigh of relief.

 

"No" Heartbeat replied, "I don't have a group anymore. They scattered as soon as they heard that Steel was attacking the university. They are probably already out of town. We could retreat back to my base but Steel knows where that is. I need my stuff to complete the drug. If I can get the hallucination drug airborne in a grenade, we can destroy Steel without even firing a shot."

 

"Yeah that would work." Straight agreed.

"Why am I still tied up?"

Heartbeat rolled her eyes and grabbed Straight's knife off the table to cut off his bindings.

 

"So I guess we are good here? If we want to kill the most dangerous pony in Fillydelphia we'll need to work together. Let's get cracking then!"

 

(Dead rp is dead. Let's get some life in here.)

Redstorm smirked.

"Well, you have the drug... just teleport back to your base and make the grenade, as simple as that!"

"Well... well... well... looks like we're up to a fight." Somepony muttered at the door and teleported away to their base with a green flash.

"Steel?"

"Yep?"

"Heartbeat has gone to the train ponies and she's making... insanity grenades or something."

"Okay... well, then they're expected to play us a visit in a while. Chop, chop everypony! Battle positions!"

The gang spread out into the nearby buildings while Steel, the green pony and a couple of more ponies got behind the blockade.

"Last stand... it was nice meeting you!"

The green pony laughed.

"I believe you're getting another chance of saying that..." He said and used his magic to create a large barrier around them.

"How long will this hold?"

"For a while... or if somepony throws an explosive at it."

The idea sounded a bit too risky to Cherry so she asked more about it. "So are we mainly relying on just this drug even when it does kick in, will it be as strong as it was for Red if we are using the same drug. Also how are we going to get it to them without being shot." She paused to stop herself from expressing any more doubts. "I'm sorry but I'm just not so sure this will work."
