Star blushed slightly...there he went with the compliments again. "Yeah...I've never actually been to a hot spring before...its really relaxing, isn't it." She said, moving a little closer to Dusk.

She leaned against Dusk and closed her eyes, spreading her wings and letting them hang down in the water.

He put a hoof over her shoulder, wrapping a wing around her as he let the other drift in the nice, warm water. "It sure is." He liked how she was starting to relax around him. He still was after her nice flank but....he was growing kind of attached to this particular mare.

@@Midnight Blade, Aura pushed off at the same time he did, and watched as he fell.

"Are you oka- Woah!" she was cut off as she lost her balance and tipped to the right, wings flailing. She fell off the board and faceplanted in a patch of snow not unlike the one Midnight had landed in, but with a chunk of ice in it. Her nose collided with the ice and she cringed at the pain. She sat up, brushed the snow off her head, and put a hoof to her muzzle. 

"Owww..."

Midnight got out of the snow and looked over at Aura. When he saw Aura was hurt Midnight rushed over to her.

"Are you alright? Should I call for help?" Midnight didn't start to panic like most ponies would have.

"Why didn't it happen to me instead?"  Midnight thought.

"You can take the lift. But I've got the other way of going up.", Freezing replied, turning herself to the side, and then sidestepping up the hill. It was a common way of skiers to go up mountains.

 

 

"Whatever you would have done at that moment, I wouldn't mind it a single bit, sweetie.", Scorching replied. He had actually used the word "sweetie" once on purpose, now beginning to stroke her mane with one of his hooves.

Snowdream sighed contently and closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of Scorchings body and the heat from the raging fire.

 

"Y'know they have hotsprings and hot tubs here, we could go make the most of the facilities available to us if you want." Snowdream offered.

She smiled and blushed slightly as she looked into his eyes.

She kept staring at him for a moment before she gulped and attempted to come up with words. She took a deep breath. "Um...D-Dusk? I just...I just wanted to say thanks...for today, like...teaching me how to ski and stuff...that was very sweet of you." She said, putting a hoof on his chest and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, blushing furiously.

Rush nodded. "I guess it would probably be best if you do. I don't like the idea of you having to baby me down the slopes, but I guess there's a pretty good chance of me messing up and crashing again."

 

"Hey, I wasn't going to baby you. I was just gonna make sure that you wouldn't fall again.", Freezing teased, sticking her tongue out at him.

 

Snowdream sighed contently and closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of Scorchings body and the heat from the raging fire.

 

"Y'know they have hotsprings and hot tubs here, we could go make the most of the facilities available to us if you want." Snowdream offered.

 

"That was actually the one reason that I came here for. That, and the previous situation from before. We could get warmer in there.", Scorching said, getting up with Snowdream and smiling at her.

Aura shook her head lightly and slowly, trying not to bother her nose. It was sore, but nothing was broken.

"No, I think I'm alright. I faceplanted into some ice. Just hurts a bit. I'll be okay." she said as she stood up and used her wings to brush the snow off her legs.

"How about you?"

Surprisingly, he blushed as well. He kinda sorta liked this mare...He didn't know if this was good or bad. On one hand, this was a sign of weakness. Such feelings would get in the way of his many attempts at wooing mares. However...it felt good. "T-thanks...I-I mean, no problem! I was glad to help!"

"Hmmm, maybe I need to get another taste" Minath said, and glided her tongue from Rambler's collarbone to the base of his jaw. She then sensually licked her lips.

 

"Delicious." Minath said, and nibbled Rambler's ear once more.

Rambler grinned in the way one does when they think they've just thought of a really clever joke. "I wouldn't lick me if I were you. Who know's where I've been?" He chuckled and pulled her into another tight hug.

Minath shoved Rambler away playfully, then tackled him into a hug, tumbling onto the floor. She flipped him onto his back so that she was staring straight down at him, then kissed him on the lips, her mane dangling around his face. She laid down next to him and snuggled into his arms.

Rambler just laughed and went along with it, not offering any resistance as she tackled him to the floor, simply laughing and kissing her back. "As much as I love doing this, it might be about time for us to take a break. The food should be coming soon, and it would be rather awkward for us to be like this when it arrives.

"I agree." Minath said, and stood up, brushing off her slate armor. She used her magic to tidy up the tangle of blankets.

 

"Ya' know, the ponies below us must hate us already. I just they are sound sleepers." Minath said, and sat in a spinning desk chair, pumping one of her wings to make herself spin.

Rambler got up and sat on the edge of the bed. "You know, I'm not sure why I never thought to ask before, but why are you still wearing your armor? Your off-duty, and I don't think anypony is about to burst in and attack us or anything. Wouldn't you be more comfortable in something else?"

Minath stopped spinning, and thought for a moment.

 

"I think I would be less comfortable in anything else. In my armor I know I'm protected and nothing can hurt me. I guess I never really thought about it before..." Minath said, and stared at nothing in particular.

Rambler nodded. "I guess you have a point. Although... it's supposed to be my job to protect you, isn't it? I mean, I'm your coltfriend, and I'm supposed to look after you and stuff. That's sort of what love is, isn't it? And I promise I won't ever let anything harm you. Still, I guess you can wear what you want."

"I guess that's right, but you won't always be here with me, right by my side. Even if you love someone, you can't protect them from everything that may want to hurt them..." Minath trailed off for a moment before continuing, a much more upbeat tone in her voice.

He's doing pretty well now. I think I could just speed past him if I wanted to.

"I guess I can't guarantee that I'll always be here to protect you, but there's certainly nowhere I'd rather be than right by your side. But I suppose you can keep your armor on if it makes you feel better. It's actually kind of sexy."

 

 

 

Freezing nodded, and watched Rush push off down the slope. She didn't push off just yet, but she trailed not too far behind him, keeping a close eye on him. She actually started to crouch a bit, beginning to gain a little bit of speed.    He's doing pretty well now. I think I could just speed past him if I wanted to.

 

Rush maintained his focus as he continued down the mountain. He couldn't help but feel somewhat reassured knowing that Freezing was right behind him if anything went wrong. But nothing did go wrong, and he reached the bottom of the slope without incident.

"Thank Celestia you're fine. I could actually hear the ice so it worried me. I'm alright, want to give it another try?"

Midnight wanted to try again, he thought he had figured out the basics already, but didn't exactly know how to apply them, not yet at least.

"I'll be fine. Pegasi heal faster than other ponies, anyway. Sure, let me just get my snowboard." Aura flew over to where her snowboard had been caught from falling alll the way down the hill by a bush with twisted branches and wrestled it free. She flew over to Midnight and landed.

"Alright, let's go then." Midnight set of faster than before, being way too confident about how to steer, speed up and slow down.

On his way down he tried to control the steering, which didn't go as smooth as expected, but it somehow still worked. Right before Midnight was at the bottom he fell in the snow face first again.

Minath punched Rambler's shoulder playfully, a little harder than she meant to.

 

"Oh please. We all know you'd prefer it off. That and all my other clothes." Minath said, and sat on the bed next to Rambler. She lifted up his arm and put it around her shoulders, and looked up at him. "Ain't that right?"
