Yeah how can you two be dating already if you've only known her for a couple of days?

 

The Doctor sighed in a mixture of frustration and sadness, with the little bits of energy coming out once again. "It's a long story Rainbow Dash. I say it's long because so much had happened, in just those two days. It's quite the crazy story."

 

Fluttershy looked at him and shyly and nervously. She was still a little confused and surprised at the sudden news.

 

"Um...I'm really happy for Pinkie Pie." Fluttershy said with a little smile and happy tone. "But I didn't think she'd actually find a relationship though...it's nothing bad...it's just she can often get crazy..."

 

"Exactly...just like me. In fact, I'm probably the most insane stallion you have ever met."

Well then in that case I think you two would get along just fine. Rainbow smiled. I was just surprised for a while, but I'm happy for her too. 

 

She looked over to where Pinkie had gone and sighed. You think you'll be able to help her? She seems pretty down. But I oughta warn you, she can be super stubborn when she gets like this, trust me I've dealt with her before.

Applejack sighed as she approached the mail post. "This letter should suffice. I hope everypony understands the importance of it... They should probably get them tomorrow or so", she though as she inserted a bunch of letters inside the box. Each one of them read:

 

 

"Dear friends,

 

I'm writing to you to explain a serious mechanic that was implemented recently. I, Applejack, got captured by Discord a while ago. I was kept hostage inside the Crystal Caves and Discord removed my mouth so I couldn't speak. I got it back, eventually, but that's not the point. While I was trapped, Discord conjured a muffin. Because I couldn't speak, it got me thinking what he was planning to do. Until I finally got it. I realized that Discord isn't really evil. He's just too selfish and careless when having fun. He can't realize the proportions of his actions, most of the time. And you can't really blame him for that.

 

Anyway, when I got the muffin, I noticed something was weird about it. It didn't feel nor smelled like a muffin. It looked more like an apple wearing a pretty darn good muffin costume. And don't say I'm crazy! My cutiemark is apples and I know everything about them, so naturally I felt a strong urge to do something with the muffin. The first thing that came to my mind was planting it. So I got to Sweet Apple Acres as fast as I could and planted it. The morning after, I was very surprised on how clever Discord was.

 

If you go to the entrance of my farm, you should notice a golden tree. That tree sprouted from Discord's muffin. When I first saw it, the tree had a single apple. A golden apple. I removed it from the tree, something in my memory poking the back of my head. There was something to do with golden apples, but I just wasn't getting it until I remembered the look on Discord's face when he conjured the muffin. It struck me like a lightning bolt. The golden apple was in fact a Golden Apple Of Discord. It's an old fairy tale that my grandma used to tell me, and I just couldn't believe it was actually true.

 

It soon struck me that if I was really holding a Golden Apple of Discord, then, according to the tale, terrible stuff should have started happening. Since it didn't, I figured to tell you about the Apple. But on my way, the terrible things actually started happening, and you are the living proof of it. I was fearing that more terrible stuff would happen, so I could only thing one thing: Eat the apple to end with the chaos. It worked, but there's a catch: the Golden Tree is still there. Therefore, a Golden Apple can appear at anytime. And if it appears, terrible things such as discord and chaos should start to appear everywhere. The only solution to the problem? I guess we should keep an eye out for that tree so that if it grows an apple we can eat it as soon as possible and try to minimize it's bad effects.

 

That's all I have to say. I hope we can live with the Apple Tree being part of our lives. At least, I think that it should keep Discord's urge to bring chaos to Ponyville a little bit lower.

PS: The tree cannot be cut down or removed from the Earth. Big Macintosh already tried and failed miserably.

 

PPS: The Apple tasted like pears. I think it has a different flavor every time you eat it, though I can't be sure since I only ate one.

 

 

 

 

(( OOC: Greek mythology FTW! Since I was playing Discord, I though that it would be cool to implement a nifty element that has to do with him. Might as well give something cultural. I hope this gives the plot a very nice twist. If things get boring, you could always check the Golden tree.

Twilight looked at the scene, speechless. She grumbled as she got her head back working. She looked back to her friends.

 

"Oh, sorry, guys, I...um...didn't see you there. Glad you're here." She directed the next sentence to the elements. "Do you have the Elements of Harmony? If you don't, then we need to backtrack. Even if we find Discord, we can't defeat him with the Elements."

Rainbow suddenly remembered Derpy and Jenny. Oh yeah we can't go after Discord yet! We need to take down this Master guy before he does something awful to Ditzy and Jenny!

Twilight tilted her head. "Master, huh...anyway, I don't know who Jenny is, but I do know who Ditzy is. Why is Ditzy in danger? He's a pony, right? Ditzy is a mail carrier, she should be able to defeat him, especially if this Jenny pony is helping her. As such, if he's a unicorn, Pegasi are highly resistant to magic, so they still should be able to defeat him, and Ditzy is a skilled but ditzy pegasus if he's a peagsus."

The Doctor, before heading out to search for Pinkie Pie, stopped briefly to explain to Twilight who didn't seem to understand the Master's intention or who he even was.

 

"Allow me to explain Twilight. I've known the Master for over centuries now, and from afar, he's ultimately everything that I am. He's a Timelord, just like me. But the one thing that makes us so obviously different from each other, is our morale and feelings for others. The Master, is a psychotic, apathetic, and twisted abomination who receives satisfaction and thrill in seeing murder, destruction, and utter bloodshed. He sees humanity, and most likely all of ponykind as worthless." The Doctor explained sadly.

 

"He's neither a pegasi nor unicorn but he's still most likely the most dangerous thing in Equestria now."

 

"He actually makes Discord look innocent...as well...Fluttershy over there. The Master is someone...err...somepony now, that you don't wanna encounter. You will get killed unless you can beat his wits and tactics wisely enough. He likes to mentally and emotionally torture you till you are just completely crushed and hopeless..."

 

The Doctor looked worriedly at Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Twilight. "He's nothing like Discord. He's much worse and if we're going to save Ditzy, you better off letting me and Dissy face him off. He can kill you guys in a blink of an eye. Me and Dissy are Timelords just like the master so we can actually have a chance.."

Twilight nodded, only one thing playing inside her head. She decided to voice it.

 

"I'm coming with you."

 

She knew she would receive protest, but she stopped them with a hoof.

 

"I am the Element of Magic. If I wear it, it should give me enough protection. And even if you talk me out of it, how are you so sure he won't use Ditzy to break you, saying if you don't do what he asks, he'll kill Ditzy? If you have me, I can use my magic to help you. As far as I can tell, you guys don't have any magic on you. And besides, he won't break me. I Pinkie Promise. There's only one thing that can break me, and he can't do it since he doesn't have the tools."

 

"And there's nothing you can do to stop me from coming."

"Doctor,if i snap...if the master hurts ditzy and i change....can you hold me back? i dont want to hurt anypony...Well,except for the master."

He then turned to twilight and said

"she does mean more to me than to The Doctor...The master only wants me to suffer because i dont think he knows that there are two of us...Well...im suffering...Any ideas on how to rescue them?"

The Master strode into the control room. "I heard you, doctor. You love her? This, now this is going to be fun!" he said with bloodlust and hate mixed with violent pleasure in his eyes.

After Rainbow had heard the Doctor talk about the Master, she couldn't bear the thought of her friend going alone, and possibly being defeated by this evil powerful being.

 

If he's more powerful than Discord then we all need to go. Maybe The Elements Of Harmony along with whatever powers you have Doc, combined could defeat him.

Pinkamena heard the conversations going on outside the room she'd been in. As sad as she was that nopony had come to her, she still couldn't let them go with out her.

 

"I'm coming too" She said from the door way. "You're all my friends and we stick together, just like Dashie said" She took out her element of harmony and put it on. Despite all sadnesss and confusion about the Doctors condition and the state of affairs, Pinkamena could never let her friends down. "'Well.... what are we waiting for?" she said with just a hint of her old cheerful self in her voice.

 

 

 

The Master strode into the control room. "I heard you, doctor. You love her? This, now this is going to be fun!" he said with bloodlust and hate mixed with violent pleasure in his eyes.

Dissy had had enough...he was sick of waiting for the Master to make a move,he decided he would fly the TARDIS to Ditzy. He turned to everypony and said

"Alright Everypony, Im going to pilot the TARDIS to the Master and save Ditzy.... So everyone get ready....Allons-y!!!" Before piloting the TARDIS closer to the other TARDIS

"Pinkie! Oh dear Celestia! I was just about to head off to see if you were okay!" The Doctor exclaimed in surprise. One of which being that he's been here long enough to have been influenced by the Equestria slang, and two that Pinkie Pie had come to join them in this mission.

 

"I feel so terrible that I had left you alone! I was just so caught up with all this confusion and planning. I'm so so sorry!" The Doctor apologized with feeling great regret. He pulled her into a heartfelt and apologetic hug, hoping it would at least make her feel a little better. "I really hope your okay now. It just kills me to see you devoid of your beautiful and hopeful smiles!"

 

"You think we would go without you? When I really think about it Pinkie, that just can't happen. I need you. I need you more than anything. Your happiness and presence is helping me find the motivation and drive to stay a- *cough* live!" The Doctor explained as he let out yet another one of his fatal coughs.

 

With his arm around Pinkie Pie, still trying to comfort her, he turned his attention to Dissy.

 

"Well, let us hope for the best. We are all in this together now apparently. Allons-y!!"

Ditzy thought she could hear the familiar sound of the Doctors TARDIS faintly in the distace. It echoed in the void outside. The discorded Jenny's time machine was right beside the TARDIS. Both machines hovered with in inches of each other. There was an ominous feel in the air, as if some impending battle was about to happen.  Ditzy shifted uneasily.

 

"Jenny, Jenny, wake up" she whispered as she tried to shake her awake " Something is about to happen."

"Ok everypony,im going to climb into The Masters TARDIS and save Ditzy from him.....He will pay for everything he has done"

Dissy then silently climbed into Jenny's TARDIS and moved near Ditzy.He then said

"Shh...be quiet,your going to be Ok,ok?" He then tried to cut her ropes

The Master appeared. "Father?" He roared in laughter. "If ONLY I had KNOWN! This is going to be so much more fun than I thought!"

Dis-jenny appeared behind him, leaning onto his shoulder. "I'm here, Master. Just a word."

 

(OOC explanation: Dis-jenny is discorded jenny, and the "just a word" would be a command to violently kill one of the hostages. i dont think she will, unless we kill ditzy and bring her back harkness style. also, the bad-ponies have all the advantages and confusion on their side, why not bring in the other doctor, and perhaps this is where we regress dissy, or something bad@$$ like that)

"Doctor be careful, it's the Master and he wants to hurt you" she felt the ropes loosen and she wriggled out of them. She was relieved to see that Dissy was still tan, though not as tan as he use to be. Ditzy turned and hugged him but glanced nervously over her shoulder at the Master. "We've got to get out of here."

the master sneered. "So you'll just leave your daughter here, i suppose? Go on. Go off with that useless idiot, leave the pony that really loves you. Leave the one that trusted you, the one that always believed you would come back to save her. Save the one who turned away, letting you destroy yourself and everything you cared about. Save the pony who will just fly away when you need somepony who loves you. Then again, how do you know that she does love you? How can you be sure? Sure that she won't just abandon you?"

Ditzy gazed at the Master with deep sorrow in her eyes then turned to the Discorded Doctor at her side, not even able to meet his eyes at first.

 

"What he says is true, I did leave when I should have stayed, I was just afraid you'd hit me again... I should have seen how afraid you were, how you trembled from something unseen... I was so... blind. for the first time in my life... I was completely blind."

 

 

"and you were so angry with me that you tracked me down and and hurt me so badly that I was in hospital for four months. but what hurt the most was, that you told me you hated me. "

 

 

Derpy's eyes suddenly locked with Dissy's as she continued relaying her thoughts to him so that the Master could hear how his own words had failed him.

 

"But what you don't know is that.... I came back. I snuck out of the hospital to find you and you were hurt and unconscious. I didn't even know why. But I still had the key at that time so I took you to the TARDIS. do you remember finding yourself there and not knowing how you got there?"

 

 

"I couldn't stay, because I knew it wasn't safe for me"

 

 

"You had told me to RUN when ever I saw you, and every time you've ever said that, I've listened. We've fled from Daleks, cyber ponies, a swarm of flesh eating flies... Now, you're telling me to run from you. I now know that you were just trying to protect me.... from yourself... because you couldn't stop what ever was pushing you to hurt me."

 

 

Derpy held Dissy tight as she continued...

 

"Then, you came back to me again to tell me you were sorry and despite everything, I still forgave you. I've come back to you at my own risk... not even knowing for sure that you won't... hit me again... I'm so afraid you'll revert back, but I know that the power of love and forgiveness is so much stronger than any evil out there. What ever was in you Doctor, and what ever is inside the Master, I know that what is inside of my small, beating heart, for what ever it's worth, is braver, and deeper and far, far greater because it's something that never dies no matter how tragic or dire the circumstances. Yes Doctor... I do truly love you."

 

 

 

Then again, how do you know that she does love you? How can you be sure? Sure that she won't just abandon you?"

Dissy's eyes met hers as a tear of happiness fell.He turned to her and said

"And i love you too...Dont ever forget it." He held her close and pulled her in for a hug before turning to the Master.He then said

"Ok Master,you have me. Im right here in front of you."

And he gave Ditzy a look that only she could understand. He looked at her then the TARDIS door and thought

"Ditzy, Walk out those doors before he hurts you..."

Jenny felt the tears build in her eyes. she smiled softly, in spite of everything, when Ditzy kissed the doctor. Her happiness was short lived, however, when the doctor offered himself up to the torture of the master. 

"OH DOCTOOOOOR!" the master sang. Forgetting a few things, aren't you? it's not you i want." he flicked a look at dis-jenny and she pressed a knife to jenny's throat.

"Father! No! Leave! Your not saving anyone by giving yourself up! Your going to die and it's not going to help! You cant save me by ending your life! For once, somepony needs to tell a hero like you to run!"

"Ok Master,you have me. Im right here in front of you." And he gave Ditzy a look that only she could understand. He looked at her then the TARDIS door and thought "Ditzy, Walk out those doors before he hurts you..."

 

Ditzy hesitated, part of her wanted to do as he said, to listen and run when he said run but the other half said to stay, Jenny was right, sometimes the hero needed protecting too. What Jenny didn't seem to understand was that this version of the Doctor was generally a coward, yet now faced with grave danger, he was standing tall and brave against it. To save her and Jenny. So it was true, love was a greater force than evil, even when discorded. She made a tentative step towards the doors. Where were the others? Why had the Doctor come alone? Surely they must be close by.

 

Derpy knew that she was no fighter. She could only fight with her heart.

Hearing his words of encouragement and his soft hug gave Pinkie the hope she needed to feel. Her mane returned to it's curly state  a sudden POOF of pink. She hugged him back. 

 

"You didn't really think I'd leave you to have this party with out me did ya?" She said in a light hearted tone. "Of course we're in this together! We're all kind of like part of a good cake recipe. Can't have any missing bits or it won't turn out right. Now lets do this!"

 

She felt the TARDIS come to a stop and watched as Dissy bolted out the doors. She glanced at the Earth Pony Doctor waiting to see what he would do, not daring to move but worried about what was going on outside those doors.

 

She moved towards the doors slowly.

 

"Come on everypony, we have a party to crash"
