"Hmm well we could go see Los Pegasus together. I really liked it there. But I didn't see all of it. Maybe we could go and explore together." Pink Mist was happy that he was willing to go with her. She always enjoyed company, and so far she was especially enjoying his.

"Los Pegasus,well I'm pretty good with poker"Darkshift commented "Yeah,why not"Darkshift stated.He wasn't to bothered on the location he was happy he'd have some pony who he was beginning to really like with him.Darkshift smiled at Pink before taking another swig of his drink

"Thanks so much for accepting. I can't wait! Wow this is the best apple cider I've ever drank. It tastes really good. How are you finding yours?"

Pink Mist was jumping up and down inside, he said YES! Now she could have a traveling companion for her next adventure. And it would be a stallion she was really starting to like.

"Your Welcome"Darkshift stated "The apple cider is nice"Darkshift said wondering what they put into her apple cider which made it taste so appetising that she mentioned it in her little rant of excitement.Darkshift tasted his apple cider just to test if the drink suddenly tasted better.

"So what else do you feel like doing around here these days? I was probably thinking I would try some surfing and maybe mountain climbing. That would be AWESOME!! There are so many things to do here, it boggles the mind!" Pink Mist hadn't tried surfing before, but she had done some mountain climbing with a friend once, it was really FUN!!!

"I'd like to see the mountain climbing on the island"Darkshift answered he always had a love of treacherous heights."And surfing seems cool but difficult"Darkshift commented pretty excited to learn surfing "What do you want to try first"Darkshift asked with a pleasant smile on his face.

"Maybe we could try mountain climbing first. Since it's something I've actually done before. Then maybe we could go catch some waves and learn how to surf. The mountains here seem pretty high." Pink Mist couldn't wait to reach the top of one of those mountains and take in the view. It must look absolutely beautiful.

"Truth be told, I don't know many ponies around here and I could use a friend that I can trust as well."

"You're tired I can tell." Pink chuckled slightly. "It's ok I'm ready to hit the sack too. You don't have to walk me to my room this time, I think I can manage." She gave a slight grin. "We'll talk some more tomorrow ok?" Pink then walked over and gave Darkshift a quick kiss on the cheek.

"You're a great guy, I really enjoyed hanging out with you today." She then left towards her hotel room, looking back at Darkshift with a smile.

Noon smirked at the stallion. "You seem like quite the charmer. And yeah, it's Noon." She glanced at his cutie mark. 'Soccer! Now I get it!' He turned back to his face. "Don't worry about whatever mare rand away from you. I of all people should know that we can be unpredictable at times." The mare said, maintaining a lax composure, something that took a surprising amount of experience to keep up when around ponies such as this one.

"Yeah, don't get me started on mares being unpredictable!" Windy grumbled half in frustration, and half exasperated amusement. "You can't live with 'em, and you sure can't live without 'em...." he said, talking more to himself than to Noon, and getting a glassy eyed look as he zoned out momentarily, reflecting on various times when mares had caused him no end of problems, and the lengths he had gone through to earn their affections, only to have the relationship crash and burn soon enough. The list went on much longer than he wanted it to: Minty, Firebolt, Cinder, Vineyard, and, worst of all, Shoots. Shaking his head to banish thoughts of those mares, he turned back to Noon. 

 

"Uh, sorry about that. I sometimes zone out majorly. You know, the funniest part of it all is, I wasn't even romantically into that mare, I just was trying to be a decent pony and be a friend for her. Usually if I screw up with a mare, I was trying to score with her...." After a moment's pause, he chuckled softly. "Why the hay am I even telling you all this Noon? We don't even know each other, like, at all, and I'm sure you didn't want.... personal info of that nature from me."

"See ya tomorrow"Darkshift waved,then he felt his heart sink when she kissed him before heading to her room,he blushed a little bit before trotting happily to his room.That night he slept extremely comfortably.

Darkshift yawned and arose from his slumber,almost immediately he brushed his teeth and had a nice shower before heading out for breakfast.

Noon smiled. "Well, now that I know that you tend to like 'scoring' on mares, I'll have you know that I al-" She stopped herself abruptly. Stone was the only one around that knew of her sexuality. How did she know that this stallion would be just as accepting as her? Noon had a lot of experience with ponies that didn't tolerate things such as that, and that experience really stayed in her head over the years.

Windy stood, looking at Noon with an expectant expression on his face. "That you......" he said, waving his hoof to indicate she should finish her sentence. "Go on, I'm no mind reader, Noon." he said, grinning. "Although that would be super cool if I was!" he added as an after thought.

Noon continued to stare into space for a second before snapping back into reality. "It's nothing, really." She said, smiling again and brainstorming of ways to change the subject. "Anyways, I was just going to get a drink before heading back to my room. Wanna come with me?" She turned her body towards the direction of the bar, keeping her eyes on the orange stallion.

Pink Mist trotted happily to her room and leapt onto her bed. "Could it be possible that he could turn out to be my very special somepony?" Pink looked out her window at the moon before finally falling asleep.

 

New day new adventure, and another date with Darkshift. Pink brushed her teeth and combed her mane before heading down to breakfast.

Doing his darned best to keep his eyes locked on Noon and not let them drift downwards to her flank, which was now facing him, Windy nodded as nonchalantly as he could manage. "For sure! I'm always down for a drink!" he said warmly, motioning towards the bar and offering a hoof to escort Noon over. "Well, if I'm a bit more careful tonight, I might have better luck with Noon than with Emerald. Which wouldn't be bad at all, she's just as cute as Emerald was!" he thought eagerly, while trying to keep a stoic, neutral expression on his face as he started walking over with Noon.

Noon glanced around for the bar. 'I was just there yesterday...' She thougth, before line of tall chairs caught her eye. "There it is!" She said out loud, trotting over. Suddenly she realized that the pony she met before was  no longer beside her. As she made her way to the destination, Noon pretended to look at a table to her left. Using her periphery, she noticed a particular colt eyeing her flank. "I can see that!" She said, giggling and swinging her tail to position it between her and Windy.

Snickering sheepishly, Windy shrugged his shoulders in a 'whatcha gonna do' kind of way. "Hey! What can I say, colts will be colts!" he said cheekily, walking over to sit down at the bar next to Noon. "Besides, I'm not totally blind, I saw you checking me out when we met yesterday!" he teased, hoping that, unlike the other mare, Noon wouldn't be extremely thin-skinned and wouldn't mind a little playful banter.

Sunset wasn't quite sure how to respond. This mare seemed nice; she doubted she would have much trouble making genuine friends. In any case, she felt she didn't deserve Emerald's friendship, let alone her attempts at comfort.

"...I-i-if you're offering t-to be my friend... I-I feel like I should e-e-earn it, n-n-not just be offered it... B-b-besides... I-I don't know if I'm t-triustworthy... I-I mean, I'd never gossip a-and I've never told some pony e-else's secrets... I-I don't know if I'm even good enough to b-be your f-friend..."

"Good enough...?" Emerald echoed, taken aback. "My dear, it isn't an audition! If you don't want to then I quite understand, I simply thought that you seemed trustworthy, reliable... Everything that a friend should be but rarely is."

 

She turned slightly, finally looking towards Sunset Sky, and smiled.

 

"Of course, I'm not going to force my company on you, you just seem a lot more genuine than the other ponies here."

Sunset lifted her head to look at Emerald, and noticed that the mare was smiling at her. She hid a bit more behind her mane, being the shy pony she was, but forced herself to keep her head up and keep eye contact, fort politeness' sake.

"I-it's not that I-i don't w-want to," she stuttered. "I-i-it's just that... I-I don't want to d-disappoint you b-by you thinking so highly of m-me when r-really I'm probably n-not that great. O-or I tell you about s-s-something that happened to me and you think I'm lying or something... I-it's happened before."

Emerald blinked, still smiling warmly as she watched the shy pony.

 

"I'm nothing special myself dear, but I can promise that I won't disbelieve you and I most certainly won't try to upset you. All I ask is that you stop putting yourself down like this: I've not witnessed anything to suggest you might be anything other than an excellent friend."
