Relationships in season 4? [Equestria Girls spoilers]

I'm fine with Twilight being shipped with Flash Sentry. Cute couple. Sucks that he won't appear in season 4, I was hopeing we'd get to know more about him. I can see something about relationships in Season 4, I'm excited about Rarity and Spike. As one said, Applejack being torn from staying on the farm or looking for a relationship should be interesting. Dashie is a maybe, Fluttershy is too shy (I love her) and Pinkie is a party pony lol.

I think relationship exploration could work well in season 4 if it was done right. A one-episode thing is probably the best way to go, where a character has a crush on somepony, then they lose interest by the end of the episode for some reason or another.

 

Any Sparity stuff likely won't result in the two getting together, as that would kinda be the equivalent of an 18 year old dating an 8 year old. It will most likely be some touching moments between the two with Spike swooning over Rarity, much like we saw in "Secret of my Excess".

 

If they do explore a full relationship, they're swimming into sticky waters, with both the fandom and parents. The fandom won't like anypony from the mane 6 being shipped with somepony (much like how the majority aren't fond of Flashlight), and parents may be opposed to making it seem like the girls need boys, or might find it provocative (I know it isn't, but it's the over-protective dummies I'm talking about; the few parents who have to complain about anything and everything). The writers would really have to be smart to successfully pull something like this off, and hopefully they will be. They are fantastic, and very smart about most things, but there's still the possibility of another "Mysterious Mare Do Well"-esque train wreck.

 I don't really think there will ever be a Spike and Rarity coupling because I mean, Rarity is a young woman(mare, lol) and Spike is described so many times as a BABY. So, it's just a crush and a humoring of that crush. Thats it.

I think when they say Spike is a baby it means he isn't full grown. I think he is young but not a baby like a human baby or little kid.

Unfortunately, this ship wont be in Season 4.

I'd, personally love to see it in season 4, Flash x Twilie is my new favourite ship, and I will see to it that it lives on!

That could be a good idea, but I have a feeling that crushes could either good or bad. Lets hope its not like SOME the Season 3 episodes.

Well I think it's alright for the show to add in more male characters, but I don't think it's a good idea to add in male characters just to fall in love with the main 6. Maybe try 1 or 2 of them this season and just see how it works. 

 

As for the Spike and Rarity relationship, I kinda hope it well be an episode that show the 2 are to different from one another and Spike gives up on her.

Oh gosh, I hope not. I really want this show to stay away from romance. Spike's puppy love for Rarity is cool and all, but having canon romance would ruin the show for me.

I think romance should be left for the fanfics and roleplays. Personally, romance would be a fun twist, but I don't see it happening other than just some cameo shots of a couple like Big Mac and Cheerilee. After all, this show is about friendship love, NOT romantic love.

Well, relationships didn't work out too well in G3, so I doubt Hasbro would include them. I'd be fine with a small relationship, like Derpy Hooves and someone else, but nothing too big.
