Story Summary:

Princess Celestia, and all of Equestria is in trouble. The Princess told me that there was a great danger coming our way and that she tried to fight it, but she lost the fight, and used the last of her energy to teleport herself back to her castle. She is healing, but has suffered from amnesia, and cannot remember what the danger is, or how it will effect us. She is in watch by Princess Luna, and Princess Cadence is keeping a watchful eye on her in the Crystal Empire. She has asked me, and all my friends to travel Equestria, and find this danger.It could be anywhere, but with our skills combined, I know we can win this!

The story begins with the Mane 6 in Princess Celestia's castle next to her and Princess Luna.

Twilight Sparkle finished up writing her entry within her newly acquired journal she bought a few days ago. She has great concern for the princess as she is still injured.

 

Princess... You were very brave trying to pull off whatever you could do, but I must know, are you sure you know nothing about the "danger" thing you're talking about?

 

The Princess faintly responded: If I knew, Twilight, I would tell you but... I just cannot remember. I don't know what you're up against, but I know only you and the Elements can stop it...

 

Princess Luna chimed in: She needs to rest, Twilight Sparkle. You must go at once. I personally packed up all the necessary things in your bags. You may also want to meet with Princess Cadence in the Crystal Empire...

 

I understand, Princess... She turned her head to the other five ponies standing near her.

......What do you guys think about all this? Are we ready?

Fluttershy looked at Twilight and Rainbow Dash nervously. She had her doubts about this. 

"I don't know girls, if it's powerful enough to nearly kill the Princess, are we sure we can beat it...? Well... I can hardly sit back and wait for it to attack or something... what if it hurts any animals? Oh, I couldm't bear to think of innocent, defenseless animals getting hurt... Well, if Princess Celestia thinks we can do it... I'm in." She said, reminding herself that if she and the rest of her friends just stayed together, they could do anything. She needed to be brave for her friends.

"Well honestly Twi, ah could really do with bein' at the orchid an' buckin' apples for the next apple cider round." Applejack's lip quivered slightly as she tried to hold in a laugh "Ah'm just messin' with ya sugar cube, 'course ah got yer back in this. If Equestria's in danger, ah'll be right beside y'all ta see it safe again."

"As will I," Rarity chimed in after Applejack. She then levitated her saddlebag over to her and placed it on her back. "I've even taken precautions and packed ahead of time. I have all of the necessities!" She beamed proudly at her own organization. She wasn't nearly as organized as Twilight, but she did like to have her things where she could find them.

Hold on, Rarity. I never checked your bags. Mind if I see them?

 

Twilight took a look inside Rarity's bag to see various fashion related things in one of her two bags.

 

Couldn't go on a journey without some of this, huh? Haha, it's alright, Rarity. I know how you like to keep Carousel Boutique neat you. 

 

Twilight said chuckling as she was looking through her bags. She found a nice looking scarf near the bottom. Oh, I remember this scarf! It's when we went up that mountain to stop the dragon from sleeping in Ponyville. Wanted to bring this for some memories, huh?

Rarity nodded and held her head high. "Of course! I like to be prepared in case of any fashion emergencies."

 

Fluttershy giggled as she looked in the saddlebag over Twiligh'ts shoulder. "Oh Rarity. You're always prepared for fashion emergencies."

Rarity glared at Applejack, her blue eyes blazing with anger.

"Well, Applejack, perhaps you don't, but some of us sensible ponies actually care about looking presentable, while you only focus on the big picture. Do you not remember what happened at the slumber party? You caused the problem, and I fixed it, yet you still complain about my eye for detail. I will have none of it!" With that, she turned away from the orange Earth pony, nose in the air.

Applejack rubbed her chin thoughtfully for a moment, looking off into the top corner of the room. "Well ah s'pose y'all do got a point there." Stretching her neck out and peering around the side of Rarity, but not moving herself she continued "Speakin' of the slumber party, ah seem to remember yer not that bothered about gettin' yer hooves dirty if you need to, so why'dya go gettin' so concerned about lookin' nice when you know ya'll end up dirty again!"

Twilight sighed as she jumped into the conversation. Come on, girls. Now is not the time to argue. Besides, that slumber party was some time ago.

 I still wish it was a little more successful though... She thought to herself with a slightly disappointed face.

 

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's okay Rarity brings her stuff, AJ. There's no harm, right? It's not like we need a dozen supplies for an unknown entity that we have no idea about, and could potentially be a threat to Ponyville o-or... Equestria, or.... Or.... ...........

 

...Maybe Applejack is right. We are going to need every vital thing we can get. Heh heh... Sorry, Rarity. Twilight sheepishly saying.

pinkie pie excitedly walks in. "OOOOO, can I bring snacks for everyone, because this could be a long trip and I don't want anyone to starve" pinkie quickly said before running back to her house and bringing a full of goodies. "I brought cupcakes." Pinkie excitedly yelled and started to hop around twilight.

Pinkie Pie you are so RANDOM!! This isn't the type for cupcakes. Equestria is in danger and we need to find a way to save it!  *still takes a cupcake* Hey these are pretty good!!! Maybe we can take some of these for the road anyway. So what do we do now Twi? Do we go talk to Cadance?

Applejack chuckled, crossing her foreleg over the other with a smile. "Pinkie, y'all can be so strange at times. Still, there aint no denyin' you're the best cupcake baker in Ponyville, ah'd be fool to miss out on these here baked goods." She nodded curtly, taking one of the cupcakes and proceeding to greedily much it down, dropping several crumbs on the floor in the process.

Twilight laughed. Oh, Pinkie. Your always the one to make thing seem better. She takes a cupcake from Pinkie's bag.

 

She turned to Rainbow Dash, asking if they should go to Cadence. Well, I think we should! Who knows? Maybe there will be some information we need to know! Oh, wait! I know what to do... Twilight takes a scroll and fountain pen from her bags and starts writing down various things. Okay, so it'll be like this! Twilight presents a checklist to all the ponies. A good checklist is always necessary! She says with a heavy grin. Spike always tells me I shouldn't make a checklist for everything, but why not? Sometimes you gotta have priorities! Err... You guys agree right?

Rarity was annoyed that her organization was all for naught, but she graciously took a cupcake from Pinkie anyway. She gingerly took a bite and nodded her approval to the pink Earth Pony. She turned her attention to Twilight. 

"While i'm far from happy, I can't say that anything i had in my saddlebag would be of use against this... thing. Very well, I will have to make do."

Rarity held her head high as she finished eating the cupcake, refusing to acknowledge Applejack. While a lady never held a grudge for long, she couldn't say she was particularly pleased with the mare's attitude as of late.

 

"Oh, I'll take one Pinkie, you always make the best cupcakes," said Fluttershy as she gracefully picked up the last cupcake. She took a small bite and went to sit by Rarity. She watched with concern as Twilight furiously wrote down a checklist. 

"Well, I don't see anything wrong with a checklist," she smiled, showing her support.

Quick Shot was in his home in Canterlot, lazily polishing his crossbow. He looked up as he noticed a pile of mail land on his head. He cursed under his breath and, without even looking for that derpy pony, he read through the letter.

He sighed as he looked up. He opened the package- revealing a large collection of crystals that he stuck in his neck pouch- he stopped.

 

He read the letter again.

 

He dashed off towards the castle.

He slammed open the door- revealing a platoon of Guard standing in the foyer. They looked shocked to see him, before lowering their weapons...

 

Quick Shot showed him his necklace- official mercenary on official mercenary duties or whatever the hell they thought it meant- and he pushed through them before reaching the Throne Room. He stopped, holstered his crossbow and sheathed his kukri, and knocked gently...

Wildcard slowly opened his eyes and found himself in a cheap hotel in Canterlot. Yesterday he competed in a short race not far from the hotel and when he tried to move most of his muscles were still aching.
He went to the bathroom and stared at the mirror for a few minutes. His mane and feathers looked battered from the race and he lost a few pounds over the last days, making him look skinnier and taller than he already was.

The pegasus took a short, warm shower, carefully cleaning his coat and his mane. When he came out of the shower and was just about to brush his teeth, the receptionist knocked on the door telling Wildcard that a letter has arrived.

The letter itself had a royal insignia on it and Wildcard opened it carefully. "A royal letter adressed to me? That must be some kind of mistake." he thought and began reading.

"Oh, totally forgot Twi is a princess now..." he thought after reading it twice. "Though I am not exactly the right pony for saving the world, I can't let my friends down."
Wildcard dashed towards the castle, went through the security checks and finally came to the throne room where he saw another pony knocking on the door. He decided to wait patently behind him.

"Aint nopory gorra get that?" Applejack huffed, still chewing on the last of her cupcake as she made her way over to the door. Resting her hoof on the door, she swallowed her mouthful and pushed it open. "Well howdy there!" she greeted the two ponies stood at the door with a resounding smile and a tip of her stetson.

 

One of the ponies seemed to be a rather rough and travelled looking stallion with a green coat and a rather rough looking, yet seemingly well kept grey mane and tail. The second was an apparently much taller pegasus with a shimmering white coat, complimented with a brown mane and tail. "Y'all did pick a mighty fine time ta visit ah reckon." she chuckled, standing to one side and beckoning the pair in.

Quick Shot nodded and he stepped inside. "Hello." He counted six ponies. The six Elements of Harmony. He bowed to them and then smiled. "The Elements of Harmony, I suppose? My name is Quick Shot. I am an official mercenary for the Royal Guard." He bowed again. "How might I help you?" He paled as he noticed Princess Celestia, near-comatose, on the throne in front of him. He was about to yell, but he bit his tongue at the last second to keep from being rude.

"It's a pleasure makin' your acquaintance there, Quick Shot." Applejack nodded "And you'd be right to suppose that indeed! Ahm Applejack, this here's Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity pay no mind ta that one" she whispered as she introduced Rarity. "But ah think you're best off speakin' ta Twilight over here, she'll fill y'all in much more than ah possibly could." She blushed slightly, realising she'd just introduced who where probable the most known ponies in Ponyville, aside from Celestia and Luna themselves. "B-but aye uh, ah guess ya kinda knew that, didn't ya?"

So you're Quick Shot, huh? I never thought I would get a mercenary, but that would indeed help with whatever we got ahead of us! She said noticing she still has some cupcake frosting on her face, she quickly wiped it off. So how experienced are you in that area of profession? Twilight asked as she noticed Wildcard next, right behind Quick Shot.  Oh, hi, Wildcard! She said in a very pleased voice. You came here because of the letter, huh?

"My proficiency?" He decided not to take that as an insult. Twilight had obviously never met Quick Shot before. He would have remembered this purple chatterbox of a pony. He grabbed an apple and showed it to her, before beaning out the window. At ten yards, he had flipped out his crossbow. At twenty, he had an arrow loaded and was aiming. By thirty yards, he shot it, and it landed harmlessly on a rooftop nearby. He smiled. Maybe not a record for him, but definitely some of his best work where speed was concerned.

Twilight was stunned by the performance shown off right in front of her, trying to find words. I-- uh... ...Well, I obviously see you're very good at it.. Heh... Well, anyway, if you have any questions, just ask me.

 

She shook it off, preparing for another speech. Okay, everypony. We should be heading out. We can't wait around here any longer, the Princess needs her space, and we need to stop this... This thing! Whatever it is. Twilight took one last look to every pony that joined her on the journey.

 

Are we ready to head out? If so, the first thing we should do is get our Elements of Harmony.
