Skullbuster 1,906 July 10, 2013 Share July 10, 2013 So disclaimer, this game wont be made, until a couple of years, i just want to gather all my ideas and put them in a note book, so when i do get the chance, ill be ready so the gist of the game is its kind of an open world FPS, its a zombie game where you play as government soldiers trying to quell the infection ive talked about it with my dad and this is what weve come up with the game will try to be realistic, especially with military procedure and what weapons will be available the game will take place in a southern city, such as Atlanta, to justify abundance of civilian weapons zombies will be fast and ultra aggressive so they are scary melee combat will be intense so any ideas or suggestions i would love, if you want i can scan what i have in the note book (witch are weapon drawings at the moment) My Let's Play channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy14-AEEHdfj5QQAlYtB1_A Need a guest Rapper on a song? talk to me!: http://mlpforums.com/topic/103097-guest-rapper-for-you/ NEW SONG:
Naught Important 434 July 10, 2013 Share July 10, 2013 To be completely and utterly honest... Think of something more original. I mean, zombies have been used for ages. Think of some other demonic kind of creature to kill. If you need a demonic creature, I am your man. I can spawn any kind of hell out of my mind whenever you need it. But, I beg of you, stop with the zombies. I'm somewhat okay with the military idea, just no zombies. 4 The extent of my interest is in things that don't exist. Or, at least, things that aren't in the basic man's senses
Azura 1,107 July 10, 2013 Share July 10, 2013 So it's something like DayZ, only with ponies? If that's the case, that'll be pretty cool. I've always wanted to play a decent pony game but it'll take a lot of effort into making it. Lets talk about possible ideas, maybe you could give it a RPG-like element to the game, a highly customizable pony creator so everypony's unique, possibly something more original like the monsters that have been shown in the show like Timberwolves. My Signature Shop!-=-=-=-=-Art Collection!-=-=-=-=-A Signature Tutorial! Also known as "Cloud Chaser". My Ponysona, Azura. Avatar & Signature by me. Naught Important 434 July 10, 2013 Share July 10, 2013 i also wanted to use them to set up the previously mentioned moral choice aspect See, the thing is, you can do that in millions of other ways. I can create monsters where they can infect someone, and not show it for weeks. I swear, I can make whatever the hell you want. I literally thought of a bundle of creatures that would be perfect for an infection. If it were me, I wouldn't want to give players something they've always liked, I would want to open their mind to new things. You cannot really do that with zombies, that I know for sure. Darkshift 85 July 10, 2013 Share July 10, 2013 It seems a bit like you've ripped off some ideas but oh well. Engine-If you are a student you may recieve engines for free however you may have to pay thousands for one.You need experience in level design and coding. Weapons and mobility-It all comes to the engine. But you will need a great idea of what te weapons sound and feel like I recommend seeing a firing range. All the basic stuff like a range of voice actors with an editing studio. All the rights to everything. Experience-You need to gain some legit experience and soon. Furthermore projections are showing that by the time a game of that size comes out you're going to need to make it on new platforms. This is a cool Idea. It's not done much but the moral choices that are subtle and then at the end you find out you where the big nasty rather then what you thought you where fighting. But I have to agree, don't go zombies. Have ANY questions about Christianity? INBOX ME!

It can have the potential to bring a unique experience to those whom play the game but the description you currently have sounds very droll and much like several other zombie games currently on the market today. Open world would be interesting but I'm wondering if others shall refer your game to a clone of X game with Y differences. But I wonder, is this going to be the your first game or your Magnum Opus?
