Emerald Wave stared at the ground, still thinking. Suddenly, her head snapped up. "I KNOW!" she exclaimed. She was smiling wide now. 'It HAS to be! What ELSE?' she thought excitedly. "It's a water bottle!" she gasped. "But where could it be?" she shook her hair out of her face. She calmed down a bit, still thinking. "Ugh, think! Come on!" she groaned, knocking on her head. She looked back up at Blaze Finder, confusion glimmering in her diamond hued eyes. "Do you know?" she asked, straining to think of where it could be.

Rosemary lead the group down the path, looking everywhere for wrinkled. He was nowhere to be found, evidently. "Why did they have to give us the impossible one?" She groaned and stopped for a minute, then looked over to Rai. "What about you? Do you know something about this? How about helping your team instead of just sitting there, eh?" Rose was getting mad at the pony, as she had seemed to know everything about the riddle from the start, but didn't say anything about it.

Rai looked over at Rosemary and shrugged.

"If I wanted to do this single handedly I could have done, but I thought it would be better if we worked together, you know it is meant to be a team exercise," She replied, "You know, I am meant to be skilled in this sort of stuff, but you'd get mad if I did this on my own and seized control over this. There's no pleasing some people."

Lavender shrugged, just happy that she had her scissors back. But a bit nervous and frustrated about having to reevaluate her friendship prospects now that she saw the purple pony--"Okay what is your name? I have been calling you 'that other pegasus' 'storm cloud mare' and 'purple pony' for the majority of the time that I've been here." She said.

"Okay calm down everypony." She sighed. "Clearly we all need to take a deep breath and count to ten before we start biting each others heads off. Maybe we should head to the main cabin where Bubbly Fizz stays, maybe that's where the donkey is." She suggested, changing course to the path leading to the main cabin.

Rose gave Rai a dirty look and turned to Missy. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea. If he's not there, maybe Bubbly could tell us where." She trotted off after the mare, every once in a while looking back at Rai. She didn't want to pick a fight, but that pony was really getting on her last nerve.

Rai caught the look that Rosemary gave her.

"What is your problem?!" She said, close to yelling volume, "I haven't done anything to you, yet you treat me like a pile of muck that you just stepped in! Sorry I was trying to make this a team effort. You guys are on your own. Good luck to all of you."

She left with a huff, walking in a random direction.

Star remained quiet and followed behind the group.
She didn't really like Rai's attitude but...Star knew that if somepony really tried to be friends with Rai she would probably brighten up a bit.
Star winced slightly as Rai yelled at Rosemary. She stepped away from the three mares, not wanting to get involved.

Lavender smiled, "Nice to meet you--OH NO!" Her eyes widened considerably. "I forgot the colt! Um--What's his name? The green colt! I forgot him on the roof!" She yelled and flew over to where she had left his last. Thankfully he was still there.

"Uh...Sorry about that...Art Streak and that other mare found the scissors," She said, scratching the back of her head and laughing nervously.

"Rai, wait!" Missy called, stepping forward to run after the filly but then dancing on her hooves a bit, because she was torn. On one hoof she wanted the group to stay together, on another hoof she really wanted the bits back from Bubbly!

"She'll...Come around." Missy said and added "hopefully" quietly. She then turned to Rosemary. "Look, I know Rai is a bit...Well...Um her attitude needs work, but we need to work together!" She said.

She turned to Star and gave her an apologetic smile. "Sorry." She mouthed.

Rosemary listened to Missy but didn't take her advice to heart. She fell back a little and walked next to Star, deciding to keep quiet for the rest of the walk. She couldn't tolerate ponies like Rai, and decided to stay away from her for awhile, maybe no more fights would break out.

Leafdew tried to keep his jaw from dropping. Oh,I see how it is.

 

Leafdew huffed out a breath. "Well, glad I could help. You know, if you thought I was going to get in the way, you could at least not put me up someplace high."

 

He walked over to Lavendar, his face showing an angry expression. "Now.please get me down from here."

As Rai walked on, she ended up back at the campfire. After a few moments of deciding what to do next as the cabin was locked, she followed the footprints that Matted had left until they ended. She found herself at another cabin which she assumed that Matted was in unless she had followed the wrong ones. She knocked on the door and waited, checking over her shoulder every once in a while to see if the others were there.

Lavender shook her head vigorously, "I didn't put you up here because I thought you would get in the way. You TOLD me to put you up here!" She yelled, her ears flattening. "Trust me, if I wanted you out of the way I would have just ignored you!" She picked him up and dropped him a few inches above the ground.

"You know, people say i have an attitude problem. But you!" She said, pointing her hoof at him, "Have the biggest attitude problem of all!" And with that she flew away to where Art Streak was napping in a cloud.

"Can you believe that colt? He thinks I left him up there on purpose!" She began ranting.

When they got to the main cabin, Missy almost burst a blood vessel. "I can't believe you!" She yelled at Rai, forgetting everything that she had said to Rosemary. "What? Where you going to solve the riddle alone? The riddle that you supposedly know the answer to but refuse to tell us, your cabin mates?!" She yelled.

 

 

The commotion in front of the cabin, roused Matted who was taking a nap in his hammock. He flung open the door and glowered at the four fillies standing there.

"What do you want?" He demanded.

Star followed Missy to the cabin but when Missy started yelling at Rai, Star inched her way over to Matted who she hid behind...she wasn't enjoying these ponies...they all just needed to learn how to get along.
She gently tapped him on the shoulder. "We came here...b-because the riddle...and we think you have s-something." She said, barely audible.

Rosemary had decided to follow Star, who followed Missy, who followed Rai. When she finally caught up with the rest of them, Missy was yelling at Rai, and Star just seemed kinda mortified and was standing off to the side of everypony. She stepped in beside Missy. "Yeah, you imply that you want us to work it out like a team, but all you've done is vaguely hint at what we need to do. You haven't done a thing yourself. You're worse than Celestia, puppet master."

Lavender let out a sharp bark of laughter. "Ohh, okay fine. Let's start over and see if I'm the problem here." She snapped, flying down and standing in front of the colt. She stuck out her hoof for a handshake. "I'm Lavender Pierce, how do you do?" She asked sweetly. She was genuinely trying to start over, she didn't want to spend all of her summer arguing with this colt. And if he didn't want to start over then she had more than enough reason to ignore him.

 

 

Matted turned around to squint at the pony cowering behind him. He let out a bray of laughter. "So you found out that i have the thing that Mr. Fizz took, huh? Well you can't just expect me to give it to you without the details. What's the name of the thing?" He demanded. "And speak up, will ya'! You sound like a mouse or somethin'."

Missy paused and blinked a bit at what Rosemary said about Princess Celestia, but shrugged it off. Maybe a slip of words..? She nodded along with Rosemary, sitting back on her haunches and crossing her arms. "You need to learn how to work in a team!" She snapped, not noticing the interaction between Star and the donkey.

Star closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Um...I d-dont know. Something shiny...I...I was thinking...well, it makes sense for it to be something like trading...so...bits?" She asked, ever so slightly louder than before...but not by allot. "I've never been that good at riddles." She mumbled, looking down at the ground rather bashfully.

He offered his hand.shook hers. "Hi. I'm Leafdew. I'm doing mediokore, because it's beter than normal life, but not an incredible day."

 

Given, I've never had an incredible day. And calling today mediokore is an overstatement.

"Chill," She said calmly, staring back at her evenly, "Was I going to solve the riddle alone? Not my original plan but it has to be changed. And yes Rose, I did originally want to work as a team, but then you start yelling at me so I didn't want to stick around with you lot. And puppet master? Please. And what about Princess Celestia? Look, Star's getting the bits right now so what are we all flank hurt about? Correction, what are you all flank hurt about?"

((Sorry for no posting yesterday, I've been gone.))

 

Sorrow just continued to stare at the puddle of paper that has been created, picking up the cover that held all of the papers together... Even it, which was torn up and nearly destroyed, flaked into pieces and floated slowly back into the puddle...

 

She hated this... Her mother gave her that notebook, and she had used it even before both of her parents left... It was one of only two memories she held to her heart... And it felt as though half of her heart just collapsed from seeing the notebook destroyed...

 

She curled herself up into a ball, bringing her backlegs up to her chest. Her wings fanned out to cover herself up, as she dug her eyes into her backlegs. What came from her started out as some sort of odd, high-pitched whine, but then formed into somewhat soft crying afterwards.
