"What are you doing here? How are you here?" Fire Horn asked. Missy smirked.

"I use the dreamscape, that's where we are right now, we're both sleeping." Missy explained. "Now, onto business. How is Starburst?"

Missy looked deadly serious.

"He's fine, he's with us." Fire Horn reassured her.

"Us? Who's us?" Missy asked curiously.

"My..." Fire Horn was looking for the word to describe them. "my...friends, they're my friends. There was a situation wearlier but he saved all of us from trotters. Big forcefield, it was such a proud moment."
"Wow, that's amazing." Missy said.

"I know." Fire Horn responded.

Josh awoke and noticed thunder shaking as if crying in the corner of the room. Being as quiet as he could he walked over to ensure that everything was alright "thunder are you alright it looks as if you are either cold or crying. Are you crying? "He whispered

"Josh go away. I'm fine. Just leave-" Thunder Roller couldn't even finish her sentence before she started to cry again. But then she held back her tears and decided to tell Josh the truth.

 

"Josh, it's my fault my parents are Trotters. I told them they would be safe in Ponyville, I was wrong. It's all my fault." at this point Thunder Roller broke down again and started to sob on the ground.

As the sun rose, Ghost woke up next to Grand. Even though he got plenty of rest, Ghost felt like he barely got any. He had too many problems on his hands. First Grand and Fire's families, then Zycrin's possessed sword, and now Alesiar. He could feel that big challenges lied ahead. He could just feel it. "Wake up, everypony! It's first light!"

Josh moved closer to thunder in an attempt to comfort her "lots of things can be blamed on a persons fault but that wants yours. come on dont cry it wont get you any where" He sat by thunder unsure of what to do "crying aint gonna get anyone anywhere do you think that your family would want you crying? they would want you to survive and be happy"

Thunder Roller wiped away the tears and stood up. "You're right Josh. My parents would want me to do my best, and my best is not crying in a corner! I remember how proud they were of me when I won Equestrias Best Young Flyer and I hope they are that proud of me now!"

Grand awoke with a start. "Whaa? Oh. Good morning" she said, blushing a little when she realized she was still next to ghost, but she hid it. "How close are we?" She said drowsily, looking out the window. She hopped down and began handing rations out to every pony before grabbing a bag of peanuts for herself. As soon as she finished eating she began working on the spell

"there is no doubt in my mind that they are proud of you. You brought us back brilliant supplies and helped us survive this far and it would take a lot less then that to be proud im sure they are smiling" Josh said and smiled then he stood up and turned to walk somewhere else in the train

Ghost then transformed into a dust cloud and went to the top of the train cart. He stood and his hind legs, folded his front, and looked on the horizon. Even though the chances of trotters even approaching the train was slim to none, he still kept a watchful eye for danger. If Alesiar was hot on their tail, he had to stop her.

Fire Horn awoke slowly and peacefully that morning, Starburst was still fast asleep by his side, so Fire Horn levitated him onto his back.

"Morning, everyone, how close do you reckon we are to Ponyville, i'd say if we're gonna go with Carrick's plan, we should stop a litle bit outside Ponyville."

Tempest looked over the group from a nearby tree branch. "I might as well follow them to make sure they're safe." He thought. The cyan pegesus then smirked.

 

Dark was curled into a ball not to far away from Tempest. "I hope this ends soon." She thought, the black dragon then stood up and waled through the forest.

"Well it seems we are still a ways away. We might as well just relax for a while. "She said looking out the window. "I think I've figured the spell out though! It took a while but I think I can perform it when the time comes." She said, folding the spell neatly and placing it in her saddlebags. "Has everyone eaten?"

"No, actually, i don't think i've eaten anything since we left the camp for Ponyville." Fire Horn whispered, so he doesn't wake up Starburst. "I didn't think it was very important, i was too focused on other things, like finding my son, which i did. So... Yeah."

Josh sat near the door of the train cart "anyone got any stories to tell this train journey could get boring otherwise" He looked towards all of the ponies on the train coach the just looked at the ground blankly "hasn't anyone got an interesting story or anything?

Tempest smirked and trotted past Josh. "I have one, but I don't think you'd be interested." He said, before leaning on the train car. The cyan pegesus then sighed. "So, I'm assuming you want to hear it?"

 

Dark noticed the others, and simply walked over to the campsite and fell asleep next to the train.

Grand used her magic to hand a can of carrots to Fire. "Well, I suppose I could tell you some stories about the circus I travelled with. Or perhaps any of the plays I put on. Oooh I've got a good one!" She said clapping her hooves together. "When I was younger, a travelling mine troupe came through ponyville. I was so enraptured by their performance that for two whole weeks I didn't say a word! I would paint my face white and perform the mime tricks I remembered from the performance. It wasn't until I had a school play that I started talking again!" She said, laughing at herself

"That does explain the cutie mark." Fire Horn said, rotating the can, to try and find a way into it. "I never would've guessed that you were a stage pony." Fire Horn started shaking it, then to his surprise, there was a ring-pull on it. "Oh." He said. Pulling on it and opening the can, he started eating the carrots.

"yaaaaay stories. I always enjoyed stories as a child" he looked over to the cyan Pegasus called tempest "what is your story about?

Josh suddenly had an idea "actually i was wondering how everyone got their cutiemarks. what age did all of you get them at?"

Grand thought for a second. "Why, I wasn't much older than starburst if I remember correctly!" She said, smiling at the sleeping colt. "The play was the Alicorn of Oz, and I had the role of the Scarepony!" She said, remembering the ridiculous costume. "It was the final night, and it was the first time I had nailed every single line and cue! At the end, the entire audience gave us a standing ovation, and tah-dah! This had found itself on my flank" she said, gesturing to her cutie mark

"Well, i guess i should go next, i was on a camping trip, these were very rare for me, since i came from Canterlot." Fire Horn began. "We were going to the Neighagra Falls, one night, the fire went out and there was no way to re-light it. We were all so cold, so when i walked over to the extinguished fire, suddenly, a fire ignited on my horn, it wasn't burning me for some reason, so i touched the fire to the camp fire, and it ignited. We were saved. Then this right here appeared", pointing to his cutie mark.

Carrick was already wide awake before everyone. He got his needed eight hours of rest and woke straight up. A habit he's gained sing the Apocalypse. The longer you sleep, the more chance of being in a ambush. Ponies started to wake up one by one as they started to converse about their own lives. How they got their cutie marks. Questions are being asked. Carrick felt like it was time to ask his.  

 

"So," Carrick injected as he walked towards the group," when do you ponies think the doomsday clock will reach zero?"

Grand looked at him with a sour look. "We'll good morning debbie downer" she said, pouting. "We were having such a nice discussion too" she said. "We'll if you must know, I think we will stick it out quite a while longer. Just look at Trottingham! It's only a matter if time until all of equestria is like that"

"Debbie Downer? I have you know, that I am a realist. Not an optimistic." Carrick took his canteen and took a few sips of it. She words of optimism made Carrick wonder.

 

"So you think the clock will never reach anytime soon because of Trottingham? Well you better hope the undead can finally rest in peace then, because I would say that the trotters beat us two to one, if not more." 

 

"Either we find some type of cure or we find a place that will never have trotters. Even in Trottingham they still have trotters, just right outside of the wall. I should know, I almost got killed by one."

"Well at this point I think all of us have almost been killed by trotters. But we have managed to survive this long, I'm confident that we can survive even longer" she said, smiling at her group. "And it's doubtful that there's a cure. This is too much to cure, even with magic. You would think celestia would have figured it out if there was a cure"

Carrick gave a 'heh'. "So you think we can continue to have a luck streak? Heh, Lady Luck only shined for so long before it will finally breaks it's grasp on us. Eventually all of us are going to die from the outbreak. One by one. We're not going to see it, either. This group will slowly dwindle into only one or two of us stay alive...." 

 

"I honestly don't care if I die today. From all I've seen, I've had a good life. There's really only one thing I want to do before I turn over and when we reach Canterlot. I'll be able to do it."
